  1. it may be true as its alot taller then mine when stood on the back wheel next to each other (Y)
  2. :D Pic doesnt do it justise as it was dark. But its the only time i had a chance as im working full time at the moment :D I went out for a ride tonight and i must say i am really impressed :D I had a koxx level boss 1065 before and this dosent feel any differnt reach wise whilst trackstanding ect. but when you have the front wheel on something for wheel swapping etc the extra wheel base is really noticable. On the backwheel is where the frame really excels as it feels so light (like backhopping without your front wheel in) it is also very stable as i can now setup for side hopping and stall on the backwheel for ages before preloading. The bb rise is not really that noticable in terms of feel as it is not over the top (about +50mm) but does still offer the advantages of bb rise such as amazing clearence and ease of lifting the front wheel etc. anther posotive aspect of this frame is the very low standover hieght this enables you to get down low when gapping and really suck up your hops. As well as improved all round manoverbility for balancing etc. In terms of build quality i cant really fault the frame especially for the £275 i paid for it :) All the welds are neat and tidy and the tubing especially the head tube looks very thick and strong. Yet it still comes in at under 2kg which is alot lighter then my old frame and is really noticeable in the final overall weight of the bike. The frame also features many nice bits of CNC around the bb area where the BB shell and begining of the chainstays are all one part. Aswell as the built in booster that is very effective and feels as stiff as my old frame did with a large CNC booster on. My only gripe with the frame would be the cable routing as it is quite pooh (Y) As there are only two clips on the whole thing (Y) but this is only looks and not preformance related so im not going to cry over it :D Although brake and rear wheel elingment is very crucial on my bike due to having a 47mm rim and 2.5 tyre. I had to dish the wheel perfectly central and set up the pads very close to get my cranks to clear my maggie cylinders with a 128mm bb even now they only clear it by about 1mm and this is with worn pads :D . But i need a new rim and im going to get a ronnie which is narrower so this problem should be solved :) SO Posotive lightweight flickable amazing back wheel control good build quality cheap god standover stiff Negative Cable routing Colour scratches easy (theory only not yet scratched :D ) wheel clearence tight (although this is with a 47mm rim and 2.5 tyre) Maggie/ crank clearence very tight (again due to big rim)
  3. well i might not be strictly telling the differnce in just the gearing as i have gone from a level boss frame to an adamant at the same time (Y)
  4. yer was somewhere differnt last year though but all i can say to that is (Y) Seems strange for it to go just like that i always thought it was quite a big event (Y)
  5. I was bad and went riding as i really wanted to try out my new parts :D will get it cleaned out asap on saturday though :'( BTW i am in love with 18 - 15 gearing its quite sexual :P
  6. so is 18 - 15 a good choice in gearing? il give it a go if it a go anyway :P how much differnt is it? noticable? and how the hell did you work it out (Y) Even though it should be ok il take my king apart to make sure as i dont want it breaking (Y) probably needs a service anyway as its been left alone scince about april (Y)
  7. right I needed to change the rear sprocket on my king to a smaller size due to getting an 18t front ring when i used to have a 20t. But having an alu freehub body the cog was dug in big style (Y) The only way i could get it off was to cut it off. i used the cutting disk on my dremel and cut it off carefully all well and good (Y) My only worry is that could all of the bits of metal from the grinding disk have got into the hub or are the seals good? btw i have done my best to wash off all of the bits. Just want to know before i go for a ride and possibly damage my hub (Y) Whilst im on this subject i used to run 20-17 gearing and liked it will my new 18-15 gearing be the same? as it is still 2 teeth less or not :P Cheers for your help gavin :)
  8. dont know what it is about this video but i love it :P Amazing riding and the editing has got to be some of the best i have seem. i especially like the way that the music goes with the riding well especially at the end with giacomo's bits :-
  9. nice video/ it was good at capturing that fun feeling and reminded me of summer which is now gone :turned:

  12. yippy for the big footed people :P how much are they and why only silver they look like something micheal jackson would wear ^_^ supose they would darken down once worn in :D But blue was the best why no more?
  13. are the ribos still avalible as i want some :D do they only go up to size ten though? as im 10.5 / 11 :(
  14. I still dont know what i really want though :D I do like the Czar though although the adamant is nice and origonal :D Out of low bb frames i would go with a limey or toxin 1 With these how much of a wheel base increase would i be getting for wheel swapping etc over my current level boss 1065? would i notice a difference?
  15. dam thought i might be the first to get one if i chose one :)
  16. Thats why i posted as i like them both :P Just wondering if anyone had ridden one or had a genral opinion
  17. Right im still undecided on which one of the frames above to get. they are both very simular in pirce and geometry. Was just wondering which frame you would go for out of the two. or if none of them which current frame would you recomend. Also if anyone actully owns, has seen or ridden one i would love to know what you thought. Cheers Gavin :) Pictures of frames on tartybikes website and panpa.com
  18. Good choice in topic :( I posted last week about getting an adament or czar frame and these have bb rise and i was wondering what the effects were ^_^ This topic has has presuaded me to take the pluge i think :- but il keep the level boss until im sure. Again same a prawn can i keep my 128mm bb with 20t ring on one of these new bb rise frames? Cheers Gavin :-
  19. You really do need to stop improving so fast (Y) :deej: Some seriuosly large taps and sidehops in there (ones near the end) and some natural that looked very tricky indeed Top vid :)
