  1. fine in the dry but very bad in the wet (Y) Ride in the wet and you will be dead before the hour. Or the amount of pinch flats you get will make you commit suicide :D The more expensive tiogas blue dragon etc may be better but i cannot say as i have only used the factory DH ones.

    Yaozhi Vid

wernt to keen on the vid although the riding was good :P Wish it was like that here where everyone watched and was nice :D All you get here is get off that etc The spots they were riding looked good too. wouldnt want to bash that shiny marble wall though it looked expensive (Y) although nobody was telling them not to ride it :D
  3. I loved that vid cheers for that (Y) Reminds me of an old mosh bikes video i have called easy style might try and find it and watch it :D Also makes me wish i hadent sold my BMX :P
  4. thats my new favorite vid (Y) your riding style is amazing you go super big whilst making it all look easy which gives your riding a nice style. The editing was top notch as well with some cool effects thrown in. I especially liked the clock and the drop where it was reflected in symmetry :) Your also doing a great job for your sponsors as i now want a toxin :">
  5. cheers for the replys people. I went for the hayes in the end as they were cheaper (im cheap) and according to other sources as good as the minis for xc. It was really between these and the minis as the avid were only an option as they were in the sale :wink2:
  6. Right I have recently brought a carrera fury off of ebay but it has rubbish cable discs and i want to upgrade to some decent hydros. which ones would you recomend? Ive been looking at: >Avid juicy 5 >Avid juicy 7 >Hope mono mini >Hayes HFX-9 XC >shimano deore M525 all in a 160mm rotor size. Genral opinions on all and are the more expensive ones worth the money over the cheaper options? Cheers gavin :(
  7. scott-mad you can get the 05 frame only from dreamcycles for £100 i belive bargin ;) what other trials frames can you get for that (Y)
  8. I used to love my mad :"> :) I used to think it rode ok til I got my koxx (Y) ALthough my brother has recently got the 05 mad and i can safely say that it rides a load better and would make an ideal street mess around bike. this is mainly down to the 05 have a sensibly short chainstay lenght unlike the old one did :D So if your starting out in trials get an 05 mad ;)
  9. I had them and had no problems what so ever. They may look heavy but they are not actually that bad. The only down side that i can think of is theyre size as the arms are mega fat and stick out a bit. but you get used to it so it doesnt matter (Y) Good cranks and good value too ;) :)
  10. That trailer = amazing Just let us know when it is ready and avalible  Keep up the good work Gavin (Y)
  11. I suffered the tedium of downloading with 56K but that was worth every second of it (Y) That was an amazingly well put together vid with mind blowing riding :turned: cant wait for your next vid :D What are FTC vids? Is it like a series you have done. FTC 6 sounds like its gunna be amazing though :P Cheers Gavin
  12. Lol ive improved scince I did that to my bash. I dont use it as much now. Cant really ask for anything more then a bash on crash replacement as that would be unfair as there is nothing wrong with the arms. Im going to try and get the same bash on crash replacement but I am also looking into getting a custom one made. As there dont seem to be any other bashes avalible that will fit. But firstly I need to know the spec/size etc of the thread that it needs to fit onto anyone know? On a side note what colour koxx bloxx would work best on a ground koxx rim? any one got any experiances with the soft ones like the yellow and green? Ive used red and brown myself Cheers Gavin (Y)
  13. (Y) dam wanted a UCI bash :- Ah well hopefully super cycles may offer me a crash replacment :D So is there only the tensile bash to choose from?
  14. Are the arms on the tensiles the same for the tensile UCI's and the ones with the bash? Because im up for a change and getting a diifernt bash simular to the tensile UCI one which should fit if they are the same right :'( May phone super cycles to see if they will do a discount against a UCI bash and ring against my old bash  Also does the bash guard simply screw on? As this seems to be the only way in which I can see that it is attached and what is the best way to remove it? Im thinking man power and a vice :- :P cheers Gavin (Y)
  15. Right I have quite a few questions but insted of creating loads of separate topics i thought I would put them all in the same place. So here goes: Firstly I have a set of tensile with the 22t bash ring but as you can see from the pic it has become flattened and bent so that it hits the chain >_<. Its been flat for a while but when I hit it yesterday whilst riding pallets it has been pushed in so that it touches the chain. I have tried bending it back but failed. I've seen some bashes on the tarty bikes website and like the look of the echo one. From the looks of these cranks the bash attaches in a screw on fashion so would a echo bash ring fit? and what other bash guards are available for the tensiles? As i dont want another one the same as they clearly break too easily. BTW i dont actually aim to hit my bash or land on it. It is just there to protect the chain and ring when i much up a tapo etc :- Secondly I have recently been having trouble getting my rear brake to work Maggie on tryall rim with red koxx bloxx. I have set up the pads square to the rim and put on a fresh grind using a stone cutting disk. How ever these pads are now worn and i am in need of some new ones. Which would you recommend for use with a koxx rim? My only previous experiences other then koxx reds are koxx browns which in my opinion are better then reds. Also whilst on the subject what is the best grinding disk to use to achieve a good grind. My final question is that my brother recently brought one of the new saracen mads (the base model) It came with some ISIS cranks with a 22t four bolt chain ring and bash guard. I was adjusting his brakes for him yesterday and noticed that the chain ring is rubbing on the chain stay and wearing it away slightly. What can be done to solve this other then a longer bb. I was looking for a 20 tooth chain ring but there seems to be none available in a four bolt pattern. Is this because of the bolt spacing etc or is there a manufacturer that make any. Cheers for reading my ramblings Gavin >_<

    New Vid...

I liked that the music made a good change :(
  18. some good pics there (Y) Looks like there was quite a good setup there. This seems to be a great way to remember DJ keep up the good work :)
  19. cool vid (Y) Looks like you have loads of fun on your rides. Nice and chilled out etc. I remember seeing people riding accross that bridge in the old trials works videos and still think it is crazy :D
  20. Yer ive heard good things about the coust pads on ground tryall rims. I run koxx browns on my tryall rim when they are working they are amazing but they are very inconsistant and wear the grind away quickly. Dont know what they are made from but they dont seem to wear much but eat grinds for breakfast (Y)
  21. I can do about 6 and a half foot at best. However i was messing about yesterday gapping and found a little thing that helped me to gap further. That was to take off at a slight angle and swing the front across as you gap (hard to explain really (Y) ) anyway i think it helps you to throw your weight accross. Also as mentioned earlier what are the likes of hermance and co gapping now days?
  22. A koxx headset is good but so are all the other non branded headsets from your LBS which are all pritty much the same (N)" What ever ink and processes they use to brand koxx products must be expensive due to the price of there stuff :P :deej: So in short go and get a headset from your LBS that is the same as the koxx one(minus branding). they work perfectly well and you can do something fun and interesting with the change that you have left :-
  23. Nah It was in the random section of another forum I use. Just though id post it on here cause it was random and funny. I still cant see how they can warrant selling these things though cause anyone could by one :) . Although they would need a runway to use it on unless somewhere is selling harriers aswell :)
  24. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...5584410374&rd=1 Surely they cant sell that :) If they can just over 5 grand buys you quite a toy. (reserve is prob loads though :P ) Someone buy it and take me for a spin :bunny:
  25. This is sad news indeed :D But thanks for such a great service. I have downloaded many a good vid from the shack. :S What makes it even more special is that you did it on your own and not with support from other companies etc. just makes me wish that I had donated when it was needed  Hope you find a company to sponsor the site as they would be foolish not to :D All the best Gavin :D
