Really sorry to hear about that man. I personally don't think taking too much time off work would be the best idea. You'll get into a slump and wont want to do anything. My advice is stay in some sort of positive routine. I'm sure you wont be able to stop thinking about it if you are just sitting round doing nothing but if you keep your mind occipied it wont be as bad. I've been lucky enough not to have had any major health problems so I can't really comment. Any way dude good luck and i'm sure you'll get through it fine.
