Nice ignorance on your part, completely dimissing the fact that like everyone else has mentioned, Hope already make trials specific parts, Tartybikes even got custom engraved brakes/hubs from them to sell, so they're obviously making a fair amount of money from the products, otherwise it wouldn't be worthwhile to make trials specific parts with a trials shop logo on them. Think about how many people use Hope hubs, only a few years ago the XC/Mono was THE hub to use when Chris Kings were rarer than rocking horse shit, and so expensive only the real pro's could afford them, if they wanted to. Now how many people use a Pro2? I reckon it's above 50% of the stock riders in the country, with the rest either using a different Hope model, a King, or a Deng/Try-All hub. I think that it would be a smart move on Hopes part, if the modifications werent too hard (eg. using the same hub shell, just with a redesigned axle, I don't know if this is possible though). Even if it required a complete redesign of the hub shell, I still think it would be a valid idea, I know if I didn't have a King I'd much rather run a rear Hope hub than a FFW. All in all, good idea man. EDIT: Simpson, if that's how everyone thought, trials would never evolve. "Who needs trials specific frames/hubs/rims/tyres/stems/brakes/etc.? leave em alone... Generic MTB parts are great"
