Teenage Angst Communal Agony Aunt Thread
JonMack replied to Has anyone seen my shoe?'s topic in Chit Chat
Yeah no offence man I think it's about time you took the hint that it isn't gonna happen. If anything you're gonna push her away by being so forceful towards her. It might seem like the right thing to do, and your head is telling you to do it, but you'll realise that it's making things worse. In other news. I met up with my best friend today, we both want to f**k each other, so naturally we were messing around in my bed, and I just couldnt bring myself to f**k her, so I told her that I felt like if I slept with her then I'd get attached to her, and I couldnt do it. So we had a chat about stuff and both got dressed. So we were just chilling and she was like all cuddled up in my bed, and she was just looking at me so I kissed her, then just got ontop of her and was just kissing her for ages, we were both gettin proper into it, but then she was like I have to go home, so anyway shes gone home but I kissed her goodbye at the station and stuff, the only problem is I know I like her, and I know that she's not gonna end up liking me, and now I've told her I can't sleep with her, I really want to. So I'm just gonna see how things go really, she's got my hoody + she's my best friend so I'll see her again, and I'll hopefully nail her. She's got a f**king hot body too and is so cute haha. Oh by the way, don't want any advice, just wanted to tell "someone" haha. -
Have you checked your settings with your email provider?

I watched it on the Sony website yesterday morning and was impressed. I like it a lot.

I had a problem with my G5 last summer, it would randomly shut down. I took it into the living room, took the back off, hoovered all the dust out of the fans and around the processor (there was shit loads), then turned it on, and left it overnight, and I havn't had any problems since, so if it plays up again, give that a go

There are loads of SLR topics, you can just ask questions in the random photo thread too, no one minds Yeah it's just long exposure, shutter settings on the D40 are adjustable from 1/4000th - 30s and bulb mode, which means as long as you hold the shutter button down, it stays open. D40 is a perfect starter camera. Can get them for about £290 on ebay now too.

If your computer doesnt support Open Firmware it's not much use though. Don't see how it's easier either, you have to hold the same amount of keys then type something, that's more effort than holding four keys.

Hmm they released a new version about 2 days ago, you should check it out . I dunno about setting the iTunes artwork as a BG, I know you can set a screensaver as a background using backlight, http://freshsqueeze.com/products/freeware/ so you might be able to do something with that.

Get Adium. http://www.adiumx.com Also, Camino is more suited to Macs than the FF port, http://www.caminobrowser.org/ Also, Apple+shift+3 is a useful shortcut, as is Apple + H instead of minimising stuff. Just a few useful tips

Try this... Resetting PRAM and NVRAM Shut down the computer. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4. Turn on the computer. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time. Release the keys. Your computer's PRAM and the NVRAM are reset to the default values. The clock settings may be reset to a default date on some models. If that doesnt work... I'm stuck :/

Why would you want to do that? That directory structure comes from the OS installation.

:/ I'll be sure to remind my dad and uni lecturers of that.

Glad to see you back mate, has to be said it's the wrong end of the summer, but hopefully we will ride together again soon! I might even be better than you for the first time

USB will be fine, although most are triple interface, so theyre USB/FW400/FW800, and no they're not more expensive.

Yes. Yes, I use mine to hold my music and videos on, and it's plenty fast enough. For 160 gig youre looking at about £30. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist....sortby=priceAsc is good, there you can see the Westen Digital MyBook 250GB for £56, check Amazon though, could be even cheaper, my 250GB portable external was £100, that just needs a USB lead to use, the big ones need power supplies and cables. As i said, http://www.overclockers.co.uk/, http://www.amazon.co.uk, and http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/ are all good. Any more probs, you got my msn. QUICK EDIT: 250GB here, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-El...1165&sr=8-1 which requires you to carry the hard drive, power supply and cable around, £44 250GB here, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-25...1165&sr=8-2 which doesnt require you to carry a power supply, just a USB lead, however, it's a bit more expensive, at £100.
