Sincere condolences to everyone who knew him, i can't believe i was joking with him at the DJ ride too....i told him he needed to get a new pair of jeans preferably ones that fitted. Please pass our condolences on to his parents, family and friends, our hearts go out to you all. love Sue x
  2. I think this quote is a bit inappropriate when you think about it!!! (the last bit that is)
  3. Hi Guys This is Sue, DJ's mum. I hope you all understand the reasons why we can't have a car for you all to jump/climb over...any kind of wrecked car is a reminder of the car that took DJ from us. Enjoy the equipment we have arranged for you, i am busy for the day (working) but will be down to the football club as soon as i can. See you all soon love Sue x
  4. I am so sorry to hear the news that Oli has died, another young man with so much life ahead of him and so much to give to others. Please Nick can you pass on to his parents and friends our deepest sympathy at this difficult time. I do remember him for the Memorial ride, he was always in the middle of 'the crowd', full of fun and laughter. I shall be thinking of you all tomorrow, especially Oli. I am only sorry i didn't hear before now. I don't know if it would help but if Carol would like to speak to someone else in her position, not that i can understand how she feels about the way it happened but i would be only too happy to listen as one mother to another. Take care everyone, live your lives to the full but please remember you are not invincible. lots of love Sue x

It's not as easy as that, the DJ memorial ride takes alot of organising and we are lucky enough people who knew what happened to him are supporting us by donating the equipment you all ride on each year, how long this will continue for i don't know. You need to think smaller projects, like a sponsored 'No Swearing day' or something..you just need to get things started. love Sue x

Ok Guys, here is how it stands at the moment. The Mayor has asked me to get you lads to organise a petition about not having anywhere to ride safely. She really is keen to get this started but needs for you ALL to keep out of trouble or it will get Trials Riders a bad name, and no one will help so called yobs. I understand fully how frustrating this is for you but projects like this take time and money and at the moment there isn't any. Lorraine Oakes (the Mayor of Abingdon) suggested to me that if you were to do some fund raising yourselves the council is more likely to listen as it is showing you are prepared to get involved too. A garage sale, a sponsored bike competition, i don't know use your imagination and let me know how you are getting on. Max if your mum would like to talk to me about getting involved with this project email me your contact details and i will endeavour to call her back asap. Love Sue x (A)
  7. We still own the fluffy bunny movement domain Charlie resigned this year.... Maybe it would be a good idea if you contacted me by phone it will be easier to communicate that way. Email me again, with your phone number and we will chat about it ok? love Sue x

I wasn't implying that it was the same situation as DJ at all, i was merely saying that everyone has an excuse about driving fast, whether it be on a dual carriageway or on a country road. I just wanted to get across that every vehicle whether being driven legally or not should be treated with respect...death can happen anywhere. So all of you just be careful out there will you. I would hate for anyone else's parents to have to cope with what we are going through. love Sue x
  9. Well today would have been DJ's 21st birthday and i am sure that he would have made some arrangements with some of you to go out and celebrate. Even though he is not here to go with you today, if you are out drinking this Halloween raise a glass to him and remember him for the fun loving, happy go lucky man that he was. Thank you Love Sue x

Hopefully a visit to a courthouse might make you think twice about what you do when you are out on the road on your bike. It's seems ironic that you are wearing a DJ teeshirt, it was idiots like you who killed him. Remember they were driving at speed (60-83mph) in a 40 mile an hour zone! You might be lucky as someone has said and only get a fine or points on your licence but i have have heard of people going to prison for doing less. Good Luck Sue x
  11. Hope you had a wicked day Andy. Yesterday was my 23rd wedding anniversary, how much of a conincidence is that...DJ would have been having his 21st on the 31st October. Maybe we could meet up again one day quite soon. love sue x
  12. Not sure about the cost but the suggested site was next to the scateboard park near the leisure centre in Abingdon. The Mayor Lorraine Oakes is very keen to help out, i will find out her contact details so you can speak to her. It is a difficult time of year for me at the moment so please bear with me. It would have been DJ's 21st birthday on the 31st and i am finding it hard. love Sue x
  13. Evening Guys I have only received an email from Adam at the moment, thank you for your details i will try and call you over the weekend. I think any fund raising will have to be done separately to the Memorial ride which happened on the 2 June this year. If you could start by getting a petition going that will be a good start. Love Sue x
  14. Well, it's been a while since i have been on here but life has been so hectic for us here. I bumped into the Mayor of Abingdon the other day and she has asked me to get in touch with the local lads regarding a trials park for Abingdon. Those of you who have an interest in getting this set up will need to contact me by phone so we can discuss what the Mayor Lorraine Oakes wants you to do. She suggested getting a petition up and running, and maybe some fund raising (it doesn't have to be loads, just enough to show a keen interest) like a car boot sale, or sponsored 'something', use your imagination. Anyway send me an email with your contact details and i will give you a call as soon as i can. Best wishes love Sue x
  15. Just a gentle reminder that i still have some Fluffy Bunny T-shirts available. Most sizes both colours. If you are interested please let me know. A lot of the guy's who ride Trials now own one so why not join them? £13.00 for each t-shirt which ever way you decide to purchase one. (this covers all costs incurred) Love Sue x (DJ's mum) Hope you were pleased with the t-shirt? I take it it arrived safely? love Sue x
  16. Yes Thank you Jonny we did get it to play. We will never be able to express in words just what it means to us to have so many people remembering DJ the way you do. I know that he was looking down on you all to make sure that the weather was great and that no-one got badly hurt. I am pretty sure too that he would have been joining in with you all if he could. We are really looking forward to this years footage, and we do understand that you have other commitments so there is no hurry....just stay in touch. Lots of love Sue x
  17. Well you all managed it again this year. You have kept DJ's memory alive and in the Press too...front page of the local weekly newspaper! The Mayor who came down on Saturday has pledged to get something up and running for Trials riders so watch this space. She was especially amazed at the banter between you all and how you all supported each other, even though some of you had not met before. So PLEASE accept this as a BIG THANK YOU for being there and on your best behaviours too. Who knows what will happen next year....we will have to wait and see Lots of love Sue x
  18. Did anyone leave behind a Addidas top? It's a medium with a zip up the front. If anyone knows anyone who lost a top please get them to send me a message and i will organise getting it returned to them. Hope you all enyoed the ride as much as i did love Sue x
  19. Yes that's fine. Paypal is ok. Please let me have your full name, address and a contact number when ordering so i can contact you if there are any problems at this end. Do you still want the black and the bloo? Can't remember the size though (the labels got mixed up yesterday) love Sue x
  20. Ok you guys, i still have alot of the FBM t-shirts left over....due to the fact that some of you who posted on the forum didn't come to the ride today. You can still order them from me, send me a pm and i will organise purchase and delivery. £13 to cover p & p too. Come on guys i don't need to be left with all these t-shirts, many sizes in either colour still available. love Sue x
  21. Yes there sure is a ride tomorrow, it's at Abingdon United FC, Northcourt Road, Abingdon Oxon OX14 1PL so if anyone is interested in coming just turn up from 10.00am onwards but don't forget to put some sun cream on as we are expecting a very hot day. See you there if you can make it love Sue x(DJ's mum)
  22. Ok you lot A couple of things you need to remember! The weather is going to be HOT HOT HOT!!! all day tomorrow so don't forget to put suncream on when you leave home and bring some to top up with later (ok that's the mumsy thing out of the way) We have one disappointing bit of news and that is the HOG ROAST won't be happening so we are doing a BBQ instead - so Burgers will be £1 and i am hoping to knock up some muffins in the morning, as long as i don't get up late. We will have limited soft drinks available too at 50p a can. Anyone who has ordered a t-shirt can collect it from me (Sue) i hope to have them all labelled but it will be on a first come first served basis....we have some extra ones so if you want a t-shirt it will be £10 So you have a lot to remember in the morning....but most of all drive carefully, safe journeys and see you at the football club. love Sue x
  23. Anyone who has ordered a FBM t-shirt will need to come and see me (Sue) about their top. I am trying to label everybodies so they don't get forgotten. We still have some more available to buy so don't think because you didn't order one you can't have one. They are £10 each available in black or pale blue. Oh and don't forget to bring some suncream as it is going to be HOT HOT HOT!!! Safe journey to you all See you in the morning lots of love Sue x
  24. For the beginners there will be everything from a blade of grass up to a single pallett and Charlie says he will have some tools if you want your stablizers taken off!!!!!!
  25. Not sure which weather forecast you are looking at but it is changing everyday, it looks more like a day of sunshine coming up....but even if it does rain there will be plenty of shelter until it stops... It certainly didn't stop the riders last year when we had a shower or two love Sue x
