me and my boss were looking at them and it turns out that the pads are fine it is just the rotors are scrubbing the first coat of the pads like the glaze on them, gonna ring hope and see if i can get osme gothic rotors through work etc. ill kee p you all informed. ill edit my profile now aswell

my road bike weighs in at 15.2lbs without chain atm, aint got a clue about the weight of my trials bike.

the reson trials rims are weak is because of the holes in the rims plus they dont have eyelets. what is the point on buying a revel rim and drilling the holes bigger therefor making the rim weaker? im not having a dig but when you destroy the rim and says its weak then there must be a reason for it i.e you drilled bigger holes or the wheel build was never checked for spoke tension everynow and agian or even not built strong enough the first time,

i was nearly done other day on the A130 near me which is a dual carrage way, i was coming home doing 75-80 with no one else on the road and there was a couple of cars in a lay by so carried on normal speed and was then pulled over by undercovered cop but all he wanted to see was my provisional etc and my accompanying drivers license, but speed cammeras are just police cash machines, dont personally think we sohuld have speed cammeras. but if anyone is worried about getting caught get yourself a sat-nav with cammera detector or sometihng like that.

both brakes are slipping all the time, i need a definate answer really as dont wanna splash out like £50 on new rotors to still have the same problem, i have always been led to believe that you have loads or holes because it stops the pads glazing and over heating.

im not joking these brakes are like 2 weeks old i fitted them only touching the middle of rotor and havent touched them since. except rode them which no luck as the braking power is useless

i have the 2nd rotor.

right, ive got 165 bb7's front and rear, im running clarkes cables frotn and rear with avid SD7 levers. my problem is they arent bitting as good as my old BB7's have been and before i was running cheap levers and cheapo cables and my old 160 was much better. the difference bettween my old BB7's and my new ones seem to be the rotor, now i have some roundagon rotor where as before i had a rotor with alot more holes in, is it the rotors that are the problem or something else, ive set them up correctly and even had my boss at bike shop take a look and he has said it may have something to do with the rotors. ive tried the old trick of pouring water on them when they are hot etc but this has had no effect. please help! cheers ian

im soon to be buying a car, im looking into an E30 316 or a 318, and as my dad has 2 of these cars now both 325 i sohuldnt have any problems with matenance to the car as he knows his stuff with them. my dad has said he will own the car and insure it for me in his name and me 2nd therefor getting around any problems with cost of insurance and as im only going to be driving it at weekends there shouldnt be to much of a problem. but i want to go down the route of alipna alloys and lowered suspension so we shall see what insurance ocmpany have to say about it hopefully wont be to bad to insure. plus when im older i can drop a bigger engine in with little worry. but i also have the luxuary of my grandad who was a manager at ford and gets a company car which i can drive for free etc, and my nans car i can drive aswell, gotta love ford. and im sorry that focus looks like it has been driven through halfrauds.
