just make sure someone decent builds your wheels, then you wont have a problemo with them
  3. my way is alot quicker to get grips of seeings as iwork in a bike shop and we are taking grips of all time etc, trustm e if you have even a tad of strength my way is best.
  4. best way to get a grip of: 1. undo the bolt of your lever 2. pull the lever towards your grip 3. remove bar ends if you have any 4. hold you brake lever in one hand and the other hand on your bar or stem. (make sure you are standing at the end of your bar with the gripo you want to remvoe in fornt of you) 5. pull the lever towards you moving it up and down slightly and hey rpesto your grip would be removed. non of this fannying around using hair spray or what ever to remove your grip.
  5. rick ive got one of those nike base layers for during the winter when im out on my road bike in minus tempretures and all you do is swet tis good cause he keeps you nice and warm but they stink lol. youve seen that i only wear my team jacket and a t-shirt and that is a thermal windstopper. be-ware though windstopper clothing is dear, you can get cheap stuff but it doesnt do the job particuarly well.
  6. was it you that bought my GU? anyway tis a very nice bike you have there oz.

    Name A Band

recently getting right into jamiroquai even tohugh i have had his cd's for ages but recently got his greatest hits and imo it is great. he was on tele other night and the way he is and sings is great. plus he has an amazing car collection and a big house
  8. what do you want them for? i mean in terms of music you listen to etc, im getting for crimbo the Bose in-ear headphones as im aftersome headphones that are small but hit ever note crystal clear and by the way i cant stand ditorted or fuzzy music so good quality headphones are called for, i have sennheiser mx70's at the mo i no they are in ear headphones but my mate has some normal ones like your after and they are good seem to hit most notes etc edit: take a look at http://www.audiovisualonline.co.uk/dynamic...te/display.html and this page, they are the sennheiser ones which im a big fan of unless you go for bose http://www.audiovisualonline.co.uk/dynamic...nes/browse.html

  11. gonna buy myself my mates 221pr that he is selling and im going to get myself some avid bb7's and SD7 levers and some nice avid cable (the metal one)
  12. if your going to put a 180 rotor you might aswell go for a 200mm rotor as bigger is always better
  13. you must of had a dogy batch of disc brakes then ali, as all the disc brakes i have had have been amazing including my hope mono mini. but deof go for the BB7,
  14. well they were built by myself and my boss in the top of the range park tool stand where you can calculate the stress on each part of the rim i think, plus my old set the front wheel was only built 2x instead of the normall 3x
  15. you i remember your vids, what cables and levers were you using?
  16. dunno why people call the 06 rims rubbish when i know myself and a few others have not had any problems with there rims at all, but defo go for the echo rim.
  17. i believe that cable just allows you to run tighter bends in the cable yet not bending the inner cable as that is the kinda cable we use on our racing bikes.

    Echo 06 Rim.

mate i have had no problems with the 2 sets i have had and built, my last set i sold to a mate are going strong now and have only been trued like 3 times and they got abused by me and the person who has them now and the set i have now are still perfect. i thinmk personally it is down to how they are built in the first place and how you treat your stuff.

    Go Karting

you need to get yourself on some proper karts that do nearly 90mph, or have a go on shifter karts they are mega to drive and are stupidly quick. the shifter karts have mega brakes aswell.
  22. i think im just going to go for it, might aswell try it as they arent that expensive and is worth a try.
  23. well form what you and bigman have said the oddessey slic cable seems to be the one, have you used any other cables, and do you find that the disc just locks and holds like the front ones do?
  24. i see, so a decent quality cable is definatly essential, but i did find with my front one a cheap bog standard inner and outter from where i work was better than expensive cable.
