    Spokes

hmm its prob not a good idea cutting down the spokes mate. best off getting the correct length ones! go to www.dtswiss.com and use the spoke calculator
  3. if your using it for the back i guess it would feel more responsive when gapping and stuff because the tyre would distort/flex less than a tyre with big knobbles. but the difference might be so small you might not notice it...
  4. it might balance the bike out a bit better with all thats extra tubage towards the front. good to see something different though.
  5. try these babies http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=1281 also read this sticky below. because you've weakened your ankle it'll be more susceptible to a break. i kept twating the inside of my ankle on the frame when doing 180's and whips which must have made my ankle weaker. then i fractured it in two places :| but after speaking to simon who;s a physio and (the guy who wrote the post below) he said if i'd let my ankle recover properly and done some physio exercises and stuff it probably wouldn't have snapped. so you've been warned! http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....showtopic=85569
  6. they're pretty big in the dirt jumping world. with audiences up to 100,000 and prize money of 40,000 euros ain't bad. far bigger numbers you'd expect to see in trials... your just jealous haha.
  7. ahhh awesome lines guys! ahhh can't wait to get back riding!!!
  8. ideally your best off getting a specific disk cleaner... i can't see anything on chainreaction but you can get alcohol wipes that you clean your rotor with or meths (pure alcohol, get it from a hardwear shop and make sure you don't look like a scag head!) but if you use gin who needs a brake anyway cos you won't feel anything?
  9. he was the older looking guy. funny accent. probably had lots of adidas sponsers logos on him. and he had a cap on.
  10. i was there man was wicked. i agree lance maybe should have got a higher score and i remember alot of people booing but he did repeat alot of his tricks, surely you get less points if you two identical tricks? ahh wish i could have got my cast signed. did you get hans ray to sign you helmet?
  11. awesome vid. probably one of the best made vids i've seen in a long time! ahhhh really want to go and ride now!!!
  12. wasn't there some biketrials.com video cd's from agggggessssssssssss ago? i think thats where the original clip was from? where he hops onto that post which is at 45 degrees? not sure though... might have been smoking too much crack.
  13. they're straight pull spokes to so there's added strength there... there meant for xc use, thats why the hope hoops wheelset are built on an xc specific rim by dt swiss, the 4.2 which is 26" theres also the pro 3 rs which is a road specfic wheelset that come on dt swiss 1.1 rim which is 700c. as to how each hub differs i'm guessing its just the spacing. you could use it for a front wheel fine i imagine but not the back. i'm sure theres another post on this... have a search.

    24" Bikes

Hey man, Theres a few more that available you may not have seen... theres one from leeson which is a custom build steel joby www.leesonbikes.co.uk my mate rode one hard for about 2 years until it died, comes with some pretty neat unique to leeson features on it, check it out on the website. I think theres a bit of a wait on frames though but i think he's still making them? The other option is another handmade steel frame from curtis which are more expensive but your getting a shit hot frame. my other mates still got his after 3ish years i think? check them out too www.curtisbikes.co.uk Hope thats helps. mat
  15. www.sheldonbrown.com suppose to be very good. the bike mechanic at work recommends it. just be patient and follow the guidlines precisely and it will work. if you rush it'll be harder to true the wheel at the end. worked for me
  16. get a set of leesons with a 24" mount on. i think he's still making them? anyway there the old pashley forks but with the mount rewelded for 24", really strong and come in at £65 i think? or a set of curtis forks at £140(?) there super strong but a bit heavy. i don't know of any adapter available? to be honest i think it'd be impossible anyway due to the position of the 26" would be in the way. other than that upgrade to a disc, alot more options for forks then.
  17. hey just found this on pinkbike. really cool vid, awesome song, not strictly trials but made me wanna go ride... thats whats important isn't it? anyway.. enjoy! http://www.pinkbike.com/video/17815/
  18. half man half monkey is the only explanation!
  19. yeah thats the same hub i've got on the front and its been fine... not really sure how you've managed to bust it? any pics?
  20. if its a 20mm bolt through hub it'll look like this: you can dmr revolver 20mm bolt through but a standard dmr revolver comes without a quick release and 2 M5 bolts that keep the wheel in. either way it sounds like you've stripped the threads but i find that hard to believe cos the bolt should screw quite far into the hub to stop this, unless there shorter bolts your using? post a pic if you want cos i dunno exactly what you mean... but dmr should be able to sort you out with replacement parts if you ring them.
  21. google dt swiss and use their spoke calculator, choose a rim similar to your own. if not you'll have to work out the ERD (i think?) of the rim. or you might be able to input custom dimensions on the dt swiss website. good luck!
  22. it would be possble to angle the teeth in the same way as a chris king though. however there wouldn't be as much pawl/teeth contact. put another couple of pawls in and it might be strong enough. cool idea though.
