Nice scar Looks better now than it did before - what caused the bending in the first place? And I wouldn't worry too much about not being able to ride for a few months - most people who break their back come off a bit worse than that!

Mmmm, nice colour. I wanted my Leeson in that sort of colour but Clive couldn't do it apparently. But yeah, very nice. Get a picture of it fully built up. Although shouldn't this be in Bike Pics?

You gonna change your avatar then? I didn't realise people actually hated Deng? It's just a bit of a joke and poking fun of all the different frames and colours he produces. Obviously it's all for money, but c'est la vie. Most people on here don't work, but when they do, I'll be very surprised if many do a job because they love it. Everyone has to earn money, and Deng is helping us out at the same time. If you don't like it then don't buy his stuff.

Happy Birthday!

Most people sell them on so have a look for notices in common rooms and stuff like that. Or just go to the library and use books for free. Or just do all your work from Wikipedia like I do

Let's not have another Mac vs PC debate. If you really want an argument, why not bump up an old thread on the matter? Vista looks nice, it'll be rubbish and buggy until the first service pack, and then it'll be good. I won't get it because I'm quite happy with XP (And OS X), and my computer probably isn't really up to it. But it's undoubtedly the future of the PC so you've just gotta roll with it.

It means "kiss my ass". Bit of trivia for you: It's where The Pogues got their name from.

What version of Windows Media Player can't read MP3s? Are you sure they're not AACs?

You do know that the virus sends itself automatically, right?

Old people like company. True story. I'm gonna go with everyone else on this - it sounds like dropping out of college is the last thing you wanna do, in terms of getting yourself on your feet. If you can put up with living with the grandparents for a year, then you can get a decent job or get to uni the year after. Good luck

Well, supposedly you select 2 network connections in control panel (hold down ctrl) and right-click > bridge. But sometimes if you've got a really bad USB modem (Tiscali...!) it puts the modem in the "dial-up" section which won't work. Although if that's the case, I believe you can use the internet connection sharing wizard. Good luck!
-
On your laptop, "bridge" the connection between the modem and the ethernet (which is connected to the router). That *should* do it, but we all know what networking is like P.S. I'm guessing it's a shitty USB modem?

That's what happened to mine, although I didn't even notice it was broken. It was skipping a bit so I took it apart to clean it and found that the axle had snapped. If you sent it back to King (in the USA), they'll give you a HD one for £25 ish (At least they did for me ).

What Mike is saying is that you can buy the (rear) brake cheap from CRC and get the adapter to run it on the front from Wiggle. But the names are a bit confusing, I'd certainly ring up Wiggle to make sure you get the right one

I also don't own a GT40 (or any other supercar, for that matter) and I have no interest in buying the new Vectra. But I still watch Top Gear, because it's about the most entertaining thing on TV. I don't think you can base a car program on "useful reviews" because no-one would watch it because normal people don't buy a new car every week.

What did you do to it?

lol @ your mum Just kidding. Nice riding there.

Could be. I have no idea really, and I don't think anyone really does, see HERE. Very complicated stuff and not really worth reading unless you're really interested. Basically it says there are loads of theories and very few actual facts about it. The one fact is that Aspergers/Autistic people have bigger brains. I personally think that it's just a difference in how people think, in much the same way that we all have different interests and ways of thinking. Asperger's or whatever is just one end of a spectrum (that's the neurodiversity theory btw). The MMR thing is a load of crap. Fair enough people are over-protective of their babies but there's so much evidence saying that MMR has nothing to do with autism, and one trial that suggested that there might be a risk. But now everyone's heard about it, everyone with a child with autism says "Oh yes, it's because of the MMR", when every single child that age had the MMR. If you do enough studies, you're bound (by chance) to find something that you think is a link, but it just happened by chance. And now loads of babies are at risk of measles, mumps and rubella. Madness.

Just use a paint brush to fill in the bits you missed with the selection tool. With the circle tool, you can hold down shift to make it a perfectly round circle (rather than an ellipse) and you can hold alt to make the first place you click the centre of the circle - I.e. for the bash you could click (and hold) on the bolt in the middle of the bash and then pull out from there.

I just discovered the 90s endurance thing, jesus that thing hurts! But you can certainly feel it working. The only thing is that I can't coordinate it properly with my left hand so I can't do the same workout on the left so I'll end up with really asymmetrical strength The best top speed is mostly to do with the size of your hands, I have girly hands and I can't do better than 10500

Are you using the Polygonal lasso tool? If not, right click on the lasso and there should be an option for that, and perhaps the magnetic lasso tool (depending on what version of elements I think).
-
Yeah, don't get that one. You need the one with the little screen on otherwise there's no point having it

In my opinion Zone Alarm does more harm than good half the time. It blocks silly things from the outset (internet explorer, for one) and has fooled me a couple of times trying to work out damn wireless networking. I don't think you need it, especially if you use the Windows one.

How have you burnt it to disk? You need to use a proper CD recording program like Nero and open the image file with that, then burn it to a CD. And if you don't know that then you'll probably not get along very well with Linux! If you've done it right then forgive my condescending...

That's Schizophrenia, not autism, right? On a completely different note, I did not know that Autism/Asperger's was this common - It seems like most people here know someone with it, or have at least met someone.
