Get a road bike! I really want one. BMXs are ok, but they are really slow compared to proper bikes - Good for a couple of miles but no more.

I would have to say Jon Fisher is genuinely a nice guy - he sent me a King axle to borrow when mine broke. And he drove me from Manchester to DJ's thing in Oxford which was awsome too :D I'm not gonna go down the road of people that I like, there's way too many and I'd only offend people by missing them out! Try removing the hardware from device manager and then just restarting. Windows should find the driver again and reinstall the drivers.

They say 14 hours, not sure how true that is. But certainly longer than the mini/photo ipods. And yeah, the apple store is pretty cheap with educational discount, but be prepared for 2 weeks+ shipping time ( (Y) ). To be honest, I would probably just get it from a cheap online shop, at least you'll get it in a couple of days max.

It should work even without any drivers if it's Windows XP. So it seems a bit odd. What does it say in device manager?

Actually, you can. Not using iTunes, but you can get other software to get music off the iPod and on to your computer.

I would rather have the 4Gb nano I reckon. Much smaller, you can just put it in your pocket and go. I had a big 30gb MP3 player but I never used it really. IMHO normal iPods are a bit big for just everyday carrying around. Then again I don't have very big pockets.

Exactly, a good rear brake is not just about the leverage. If it was, we'd all be running levers that squidged into the bar before the brake locked. Unless you are running the speed dial all the way in towards the bar (And no-one does that) then there is no need to worry about the distance between the pivot and the pad.

The guys that were doing it were rounding up stray/lost dogs and using them. PS The Sun didn't "reveal" that at all, it was on the RSPCA website about a week ago :sleeping:

eBuyer sucks balls. Mainly because I can never get on the site to see what people are buying. Oh well. And Celerons are ok but not amazing, they are the budget range of Intel's CPUs. You'd probably be better off going for a cheaper Pentium that is rated slower, but will perform better. Or AMD...

Morecambe is good, always like riding there (except when it's way too windy!) But my favourite place I've ridden would have to be Leeds, great fun. I am yet to have a proper ride there that isn't spoilt by weather/injury/mechanical failure though. I need to ride Bristol at least once in my life though!

Guilty :sleeping: It's weird though - why is using a dog for bait so disgusting that we want to arrest the guy doing it, but using fish is fine? Not to mention the fact that we eat cows etc. I don't really see it being that different. The only difference is that dogs are cuddly and sometimes kept as pets.

Right, first off the socket on the motherboard has a different number of pins (939) to the CPU (754), so good luck trying to get that to fit together. Get either both 939 or both 754. There's not really much point in buying that sound card, it'll most likely not be any better than the onboard sound on the motherboard. So just ditch that and save the £15. You've put some really slow memory on there. Get PC3200 (400MHz) at least otherwise you're seriously slowing the computer down for no reason. In most cases PC3200 is the cheapest stuff anyway. 2x512mb is usually faster than 1x1024mb stick too, especially if you go with a 939 system. And the graphics cards, I think it would make more sense just to get a single 6800 rather than two 6600 in SLI (Also eBuyer only have one in stock anyway (N) ). But you might want to look that up, I'm not sure on that at all. If there's no difference in speed though I would still get the 6800 as then you have the option to upgrade to another one when you feel the need, and double the power. So yeah, there's a few things to think about. Get back to the drawing board (Y)
