Unless it was some kind of hologram of him, he was definitely riding an MBK all of the Exeter indoor comp today! Please explain Mr C, after your constant ranting about Ashtons!! Any particular reason?

Looks like a set of atomlad Trailking Slim-lines. They feel great, but apparently the bearings arn't great.

Grind. As you can use it in any weather, and its much more of a permanent fix. Although if like me you don't want a grind, then carrying a little bit of tar can be nice, just so you can put a tiny bit on if your breaks having an off day and its dry. And some nice pads for a smooth rim (ie BT yellows) are essential.

Agreed. Black rim, black spokes, Red/Black hub and Red nipples, red rim-tape. Coloured nipples are lush as hell.

Easy one for you: A man and his son are in a serious car accident, They are both severely injured, but are taken to two different hospitals, both unconscious. When the boy is taken into the operating theater, the surgeon refuses to operate on him as it is there son. How can this work? Very simple, but loads of people don't get it.

Not yet, there all to wet . Tryed some street stuff on it and have out done mates on jump bikes with stair drops and random wooden jumps over pavements ect.. hehe It weighs in at 26lb with a maggie on it. So its actualy not too bad weight. I know I need to sort ou the rear tyre, the Moto RT is actualy really nice though. Looking for a Maxxis High roller 2.5 but can only find the 2.7s. Edit: before anyone mentions it, the red break lever was 2nd hand and is going for a black one at X-mas...

Erm... not too many all custom builds though, so I'll just say the frame: Saracen X-cell - bit of everything, like most kids Blunt Dirt frame. - Dirt/street bike, replaced Saracen Marin B17 (the old Full susser's) - DH bike, was stolen after a few months 24seven V24 - Replaced Blunt for street/dirt duties Woodman T-comp - first real Trials bike Koxx Levelboss 20" - Swapped Woodman for it to go Mod Mongoose Teocali Comp - Sold V24 for funds, was sick of lack of off road Mongoose Teocali Super - Warranty replacement for the Comp after I cracked it Iolo 24" - Sold Levelboss for it, current bike, Loving it, 24" forever!!!

It's got an XTR V on there, but Im going back ot a maggie soon, as neither seem to wokr better, and the maggies alot neeter on my frame. (Noodle on the Vs the wrong side to use the internal cable routing.)

No one notice that sentence then? I'd say get in contact with Iolo, The place that powder coats them for him wouldn't do my frame clear coat, but it might be a different matter with an aluminium frame. You tried the local industrial estate?

Chromoly is a type of steel Yeah, agreed, aluminium doesn't rust, it oxidises, but that's a good thing with aluminium as aluminium-oxide is a very hard wearing protective layer on the surface of the material, that just looks kinda dull. Can be polished up though, but like people say, it only lasts a few months.

Deng is Deng as far as quality is concerned. They come from the same factory and are made by the same tools and people, so there wont be any difference in quality. I'd go for the echo booster out of those two. Although the GU is magenaly lighter, the echos design seems more thought out, rather than just cutting different bits out of a generic shape to try and make it different like the czar/zoo/gu/adamants. Heatsinks are also crazy stiff at minimal weight thanks to being a well thought out design.

If you're running the standard T-pro forks then there Steel and will rust if stripped down. So they would need to be painted. (says in your profile T-pro, dunno what upgrades though)

Rich you dirty bastered. If you need somewhere to stay for free Rich theres always space at my dads just outside exeter.
-
If you get it sorted how much would it cost to get it changed it clear coat? I'm contemplating having a disc mount put on anyway as maguras are gay. So it'd need a new paint job if I did.
-
Cant do em, Mine was menna be clear coat but the people who powder coat it for him wont do it .

Hey, I get problems balancing in the dark too. I'm pretty sure its related to me needing glasses. Normally in the dark I really cant balance on the bike as well, but if I've been wearing my glasses all day so I'm used to it then it's a lot better. Could get your eyes checked maybe.

Ages ago some little retard managed to rip the hose out of my break lever dragging my bike across the park so he could stand on it to clime a tree! That really pissed me off, but he was like 8 or 9 so I couldn't really get him to give me £20 for a new hose/bleed. It would have been several month pocket money to him probably. And the usual stuff like mates breaking chains and giving me punctures. But its all normally laughed off if its a mate. Wort Ive done to other peoples bikes really is small scratches. I agree though, if somethings gunna break, its better if there on it when it does!

Personally I'd go with horizontals and 135mm spacing. It gives a better chain line with most trials cranksets as well as more hub choice. When I had my Iolo built I had it done like that and haven't looked back in the slightest. You wont notice the chainstay length changing from just tensioning the chain, and it gives you the adjustment if you want it. Only thing is I can tell you that to get a 380mm chainstay with 20:16t gearing you need a half-link. 385 is about right without though.

Middleburn Rs7 Superpro Trials Cranks
RobinJI replied to echo v onza's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Nah, sorry, I think that really is it for trials. There amazing cranks, but pretty specific. You can get Various spiders but I don't see how they would help you, as you're not gunna go bigger than 22t and you will want a bash, so its easier to get the Pro-trials bash than say, a DH spider and a separate bash ring. List of most middleburn products. As of yet no-one but middleburn make anything to fit them, but I believe Ali C is planing on producing some 18t versions of the Super-pro trials guard. Also there are a few small companies such as Iolo and Leeson who will machine you pretty much any design you want. Edit: sorry, forgot to actualy put a link... :$ -
Teaches you to run Tiogas! Nah, seriously, they suck majorly. I cant ride in the wet in the slightest with mine on the back, I just wheel-spin on anything and can't trust it. Unlucky about the wheel though, hope the new rim does you better, I think with any rim that would have at least severely flat-spotted it! And an even bigger bugger about the forks, as there a bigger price tag to replace. Good you walked away unhurt though .

Middleburn Rs7 Superpro Trials Cranks
RobinJI replied to echo v onza's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Middleburns arent screw on there a spline fit, theres a lockring behind your ring/bashguard combo that unscrews then the ring/bash slides off. Because of this fitting, the only thing you can get to replace it is either a Middleburn Pro-trials guard (not super-pro, just pro) there £30 off CRC then you need a sprocket to go on it, either a 20t 5arm CD sprocket or a 22t. These are about £12-15 I think... As for the gearing, personaly I'd suggest trying something a little lower. You can work out what would be the same by deviding the frotn sprocket by the rear, so 16/12=1.3333, so the same gear with a larger front ring would be, 20/15=1.333333. (CRC = www.chainreactioncycles.com) Oh yeah, is this mod or stock?? if its a mod then Id say to try a slightly higher gear (number higher than 1.3333, something like 1.5) if its a stock I'd say try something lower (maybe 1.2ish) -
