    Bike Insurance

my friend got his bikes nicked, and loads of other stuff from his garrage, his mum claimed on the house insurance and got like £1000 to cover his bikes didn't quite cover the costs, but it was better than nothing. i don't think he has it as a named item either.
  2. sounds to me like he's just wondering which camera to buy and wants people's opinions. do you have a price range, basicallay you get what you pay for. I use a samsung dvd camera, or my friend's old panasonic (don't know which model) both cos around £300 but there are cameras out there for under £100 which would probably do the job.
  3. he never pedals either, yet still moves,
  4. i was out riding on some behind a hardware store near me and the manager came out and said not to do that there, but offered me a load of slightly damaged ones which i took home in my van and fixed, some hardly needed fixing, others just needed some nails. your best bet would be to ask around at your nearest industrial estate, or building site. good luck!
  5. or just keep practising. If you just move on, after not being able to do a trick, you'll never be able to do any trick. Every trick take, lots of practise, persistance, and perfecting, main thing is, don't try doing anything before your ready, progress up to the bigger, higher, harder tricks, otherwise you'll end up in pain!
  6. from the forum, plenty of spare parts people are no longer using / need. Just put up a list of what parts you want. you never know, someone might have the parts you want.
  7. you running a front V? they're way way under-reated! which one is it anyway? is it any good?
  8. surley boiling water would making it tighter, it would cause the metals to expand, thus making the thread tighter, not that i'm questioning your methods.

    I'm Weak

your obviously not wank!ng enough mate i'm a fat fk, (weigh just short of 16 stone) and have to lift my bike, and 16 stone whenever i ride, i've got a pull up bar in my doorway and just do a few pull ups everytime i goe in or out my room, it was like £15 from argos well worth it.
  10. try and get your mits on a set of those steel replacement ones, i hear they're really smooth, just like warm up and strech well before and whilst riding, (not literlly when your riding, but like when your watching someone else, or having a break) seems to work for my shoulders and wrists
  11. get the T-rex spec 1, it's not a lot more expensive than the T-raptor, the T-rex is like the 26" equivilant of the T-pro in the quality, and shape, i'd deffo go fo the T-rex. if it's your first 26" you don't know if you like it, so why not keep an eye out for one on here, and then if you decide you don't like 26", you don't loose as much, also if you do like it, it still gonna be cheaper... Mike!!!
  12. 2m? isn't it one of the things they had in old garages where you park a car above the hole, then get in the hole in order to acess the underside of the car (used before they had hydraulic or air lifts) if it is then surley it's not 2 meters deep, more like 1.7 because how many 2 metre tall people do you know? and the ones you do know are probably too busy throwing basketballs through hoops to piss aobut with cars. Mike!!! good video though mate, you say you've been riding your Zoo for aobut 3 months, how long have you been riding in total? because if you've been riding for three months, then your a really fast learner. and i've studied the video about 6 times, and i can safley assure you there is no "pig" in the hole

    Rim Tape

i've got some of that, it's pants, it rips SO easily, but it's as sticky as my bed when I wake up in the morning Mike!!!
  14. when you bled it... did a small ball bearing fall out from the bleeding screw? if so, then theres your peoblem, best thing to do is: 1. look to see if the ball bearing is in the leaver. if not try and get one to replace it. 2.if you've got another leaver that you know works, put that one one and try it. 3 if it does work with the working leaver, then you know it's probably the cylinders 3.1 if it does work then your leaver is brokened, take it all appart, clean it up, and then put it back together, if it still doesn't work either leave your other leaver on the system, and sell the RB one as not working. Or take it to your L.B.S, and see what they can do. Mike!!!

    Hall Of Lame!

thats where it may stop the winging from people, because your not actually deleting their topics, i see your point about them being mocked, but in the long run, if people are worried about being mocked, they're more likley to think before posting therfore could make your job a little easier just consider it mods.... Mike!
  17. it doesn't matter which side is closest to the wall, it's the way you ride, (if you jump to the left or to the right), it's the same with feet, you find which way feels best for you. Mike!!!
  18. Yes you can, when you save an image after photoshopping it you can choose what file type you want to save it as, if you find .JPG / .jpg / .jpeg you can also select the quality you want to save it at, which is god as you can reduce the size dramatically with this....

    Hall Of Lame!

I was thinking (don't get used to it)... why not make a 'hall of lame' topic (sticky maybe) and if there is a really really poor topic started by someone, on of the mods moves it into this hall of lame topic, just an idea though, it would be quite funny to see how many pointless topics there are out there. Mike!!!
  20. SWEEEEET!!! thats the stuff my dreams are made of.... the dreams i have before I wake up all sticky where can one get their mits on some ZHI products?
  21. If you were to use DOT4 in your brake system, you'd probably notice a little bit of difference as it's thicker than water, but as it is designed to go in car's brakes, it has to withstand really high tempratures, but the minerals and other shizzle that is added to it in order to allow it to withstand these temperatures, makes the solution corrosive, and before long, the seals in your brake system, will start erroding away, and your brakes will leak and get air into the system. therfore i strongley reccoment that you do not put any brake fluid designed to go cars' brake system, in your bike's brake system... Mike!!! Edit: I forgot to say that to stop my water freezing in my system, i add a capful of anti-freeze into my mixture when i bleed them, which also acts as a coolant in the summer. can't go wrong

    Hooks

the only probablem i find when pedaling into things, is that a lot of the time i don't have my chocolate foot forwards and have to spin my fee round, which puts me off balence. but speed is the key, i've done it a few time but i don't really try because i'm absolutley pants at it. Mike!!!
  23. you can get hydraulic V-brakes and v-brakes are rim brakes, i had a pair ages ago, i can't remember the make, but they weren't too good.. well they were good, just not trials spec if you know what i mean. Mike!!!
  24. funky video, cool editing aswell. there was quite a large crowd there, and there were some really amazing places, like the pond with loads of HUGE cubes in it, i'd love to go there. Mike!!!
  25. I liked it, especially the flicks, and spins, it would have been better if you go somoeone else to film you, otherwise it looks boring, as it's from a low angle, and you always looking up at the bike and rider, the editing was nothing special, but you could have shortened a few clips in order to make it finnish when the music did. Mike!!!
