Hey, welcome to the forum. I myself have just signed up to but i've got back into riding as i'd been off for a year because of work. The t-pro is a nice bike to get started on. Theres loads of reviews on them as i've just been reading. Use the search funtion theres loads about them and what to upgrade once you start progressing. Hope i've helped Damo

You never forgot to ride a bike, maybe its a sign. I was the same as you but I only stopped riding for a year. I did have the odd ride hear and there but nothing major. but hopefully i'll be starting comps soon if i can be bothered to phone up and get a licence form ill be starting comps soon and hopefully it will beter my skills Damo

Hey mate, I've never tried the GU pads but i would recomend the Koxx brown pads as they've been on my bike for two and a bit years and are still going strong. Theres still around 6mm of backing still left. Don't think im ever going to use anything else, unless i've just got a lucky pair. Damo

But if your buying the more expensive part or in the profiles case parts, you expect it to be beter. I bought the profile instead of the eno and i love it. They just feel so much beter to ride. If you have the money to get one, get one. If not steal one or trying buying one second hand, but if all fails get the eno lol. Damo

Thats because saturday is new years eve and most people will be extremly drunk, and sunday is new years day. And most people will be in bed wishing they never drank the night before, which is why most rides are on monday because that gives a recovery day. Although i don't think im going to be sober for the london ride
