  1. Massive improvement over season 1. Looking forward to the rest of the season, just wish Amazon would allow it to be cast to chromecast so I can watch it in 4k.
  2. My guess is there's no point putting the car though the stress of high acceleration when you're trying to go for top speed.
  3. Was she actually not wearing a seat belt, or did he just make that up to give her a lesser ticket?
  4. Brand new bike. Had to adjust the height of the front derailleur, it was set too low and would rub on the biggest ring. Set low and high point, aligned the center and went out for a test ride. Everything seems fine but on the way down from the biggest ring to the middle ring, the shifter skips right past the middle ring and drops down to the smallest. Any ideas on how to fix? Shimano Claris, flat bar setup.
  5. Fixed! Sidepull, same as on road bikes. And yes they do have long levers. They're basically on a road bike with flat bars. Yeah I had a bike a while ago and I changed it so it was like that. With these this isn't an option as far as I can tell. I'll just learn to live with it, maybe move them closer to the grips a little.
  6. Shimano Claris 8 speed. They do appear to be detachable, but I don't see a way around it. A previous bikes I had I was able to move the shifters onto the opposite side of the lever.
  7. Just putting together a new bike and I had to move the break levers inwards the best part of two inches so that my index finger lined up with with the tips of the levers. Now the attached gear shifters aren't in a great position. Is this just me or do other trials riders find this problem?
  8. I'd give it two more episodes. There's a lot of character introduction that can get a little tedious but it gets better.
  9. Have you tried leaving the password box blank?
  10. Haha, well that's not my experience. Although I'm renting movies as soon as they're coming out so maybe that's the problem. I had to buy AnyDVD HD just to get past the encryption for them to even play.
  11. It's all about the encryption. Companies wanting to keep their movies and TV shows safe. You still can't get a bluray drive for your PC and just play a bluray, won't work. Companies make it easier and more accessible for TV / smart player manufacturers because that's where the real money is. Also with PCs being built out of many different parts it seems a lot more difficult so they don't bother.
  12. So this was my night trying to figure shit out. I can't watch netflix or amazon video in 4k because I don't have a 10th gen gpu. Apparently you have to have a 10th gen gpu because of all the encoding bullshit. So I look up the cheapest gtx 1050 and see that it's about $99. Thinking about buying it when I do more reading up and turns out the gpu has to have at least 3gb of ram to watch netflix in 4k. In the same place I read this I also read that to stream 4k from netflix... 1. You have to have the windows insider version of windows 10. 2. 10th gen gpu with 3gb of ram or more. 3. A 4k HDCP 2.2 port on the monitor. 4. No non-HDCP 2.2 monitor ports attached to the GPU. 5. Edge browser That's insane, clearly 4k streaming is not ready for PC. So I think, chromcast ultra. Just about to buy one when I realize that the only sound output my monitor has is a headphone jack. I have some high ohm headphones so that's not going to work, and I have a soundcard / headphone amp in my PC which doesn't help either. So I have no way of getting decent sound to my headphones. So next option would be a 4k bluray player... if I'm going to buy something that streams 4k might as well get something that can play the discs too for future proofing. But then I realize I'm going to have the same problem with the sound. So I steal our didgital amp / DAC from our living room. That's mine now. Wife doesn't know yet. Connect my PC up to it via toslink, which is when I realize this thing only has one digital input anyway. Luckily, toslink switches are cheap. So I buy the switch, picked up a 4k bluray player for $150 with optical out, some toslink cables and I should be all set. Not the ideal solution but it should work just fine. What a massive ballache.
  13. Answer in white: Depends on the gearing, crank length and wheel size etc... might even depend on the grip of the type to the floor too. If the gearing (and other variables) are low enough, the bike will move forwards, if the gearing to too high, it'll move backwards.
  14. I just turned 30 too! Trials isn't easy to get into, it takes a lot of effort to learn the basics, but once you get them down and start using them to real effect, it pays off big time. The really basic way to start is to endo your bike by moving forwards and slamming on the front break, as you come back down use that momentum to rock onto the back wheel and see how long you can hold yourself there with the brake locked out. When you get better at that start adding in little hops to keep yourself on the back wheel longer. When you get more confident, you won't need to endo first to get yourself up onto the back wheel, you'll do that by doing a pedal kick with the brake released, kind of like you would when you wheelie, but stationary. Last step is to then start pedal hopping forwards on the back wheel by releasing the brake and pedal kicking forwards slightly, and then re-engaging your brake. Anything after learning that is easy.
  15. You're on the right track.
  16. The string starts parallel to the floor, but the height can change and it still remain parallel. But that's really not the issue at hand. ^Ah you beat me to it.
  17. My first instinct was to say it pulled the bike backwards right away.
  18. ...that is freestanding* with no one on it. The right crank arm is at the 6 o'clock position. If you tied a piece of string to the pedal of that crank arm, held the string paralleled to the floor, and pulled backwards on the string, what would happen to the bike? Would it move forwards, move backwards or stay in the same place? *it cannot fall.
  19. If they were originally frozen they probably would have stayed cold for a long time anyway.

Wow I'm so out of touch with TF culture these days.
  21. Please. The plane doesn't take off. Friction in the wheel bearings.
