  1. So how well did we loose this year?
  2. No but you end up pissing people off.
  3. It isn't a complete joke, but it is flawed. When i got suspended for 5 days or so i created another account so i could post about in NMC (I know that's against the rules but i might as well use my new found time helping new members) and i didn't get validated over a week of posting perfectly good posts. What surprised me more though was how you get treated as a new member, i posted something which was replied to "Why should anyone take your advice, you've only been here for a few hours" even though the advice i gave turned out to fix the topic starters problem. But i don't have any better ideas (other than a review system for new members so no one will get missed) so i don't bitch anymore. You're right about the "use the search" replies, I've never once in my half a decade on this forum said 'use the search' becuase the search on tf isn't all that great. As for the scammers in NMC, i never personally felt that was a problem, and i think that was used as a scapegoat to stop people from just signing up to use TF to sell on - which is why it was really banned. Which in it's self is a good enough reason. But then again i don't know what goes on behind the scenes, but that's coming from what I've personally observed.
  4. There's really no need for them. It might make your pads pull in evenly, but that doesn't really achieve much by doing do. Maybe a little bit extra bite which is pretty useless for a rear brake. Also, they make your brake more difficult to bleed, they're a bitch to set up and there's more chance of your brake leaking.
  5. But we're trials riders.
  6. Where abouts does the wheel sit in the dropouts, maybe you should take a link out of your chain? That would solve your problem so long as the wheel isn't too close to the bolts, i'd give that a try.
  7. Too small as in they won't reach the bolt? If so you're going to be quite stuck, all chain tugs are pretty much the same sise. How far are the away?
  8. Overpriced is a matter of opinion, but my profile was amazing, certainly not overrated. I'll be honest i did have one problem with the lockring, suppose that could be down to my lack of maintenance. But the hub it's self was perfect. The only reason i don't have one now i becuase i run rear disc. I don't ever seem to remember the thing skipping, and the bike rolled so much better than a front freewheel. Something can't be quite right with yours, phone tartybikes and ask them.
  9. I'm a really shit house husband.
  10. Usually facebook works by either finding friends from other peoples profiles, or people adding you from the 'you may know these people' section. Just give it a couple of days and you're friends will start adding you exponentially, if you have any.

    The Lost Thread

Well that was dramatic. Wonder what gripe Jakob and that other guy had (and how did he disguise himself as John) I think the nuke going off was the incident like Miles said.
  12. Unscrew your tpa. Problem solved. (96% of the time anyway)
  13. Check the for sale / wanted section. You can't post in there but if you click on the members profile you can send them an email from there. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....howtopic=135944 Something like that.
  14. Well, it's really difficult to tell what's really going on if you're not there, but becuase your tpa is broken, you won't be able to adjust the point that pushes the piston on the lever blade, so to someone who hasn't had much experiences with maguras would think that the piston in the lever was getting stuck, i can almost guarantee it's not. The problem isn't the piston not coming out far enough, it'll be the prong on the lever blade not coming in far enough. However, you can replace what you have now with these: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/search.php?category_id=53 (I'd suggest the cheapest one) Some come with a tpa, some don't. So if you decide to go with one that doesn't come with a tpa you'll need one of these: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...p;category_id=5 The whole thing would come to just over £10.
