  1. I did away with hotmail, and msn soon after that. Switching to gmail was the best thing I ever did.
  2. Windows live messenger? I think that shows a tray icon when you have an email. Or something like this?
  3. I just bought this (note, not me in the pic). Couldn't resist.

    Google Plus Invites?

Facebook needs a bit of competition to kick them up the arse. They're super powerful but don't seem to be really doing anything 'front of the line'. Why can't I got on facebook and webcam chat with two of my friends, for a website that powerful, it should be something that's just there.

    Bb Help

Like has been said, why keep trying, the threads on the crank are knacked so it's as good as useless anyway.
  7. Chris is right. Believe it or not, in this situation, the chances of you being HIV positive when your test result is posative is just less than 1 in 10, even though the test is considered 99% accurate, if your test results come back positive, there's a huge chance that you aren't actually HIV positive. (Obviously if you're up on your probability and don't assume that with a positive test result means you're 99% likely to actually be HIV positive it'll have a much lesser impact on you and this might not be very impressive). To step away from the maths, looking at it logically the chances of you having HIV is 1 in 1000. But the test inaccuracy is 1 in 100. The chances of the test been wrong is 10 times more likely than if you actually have HIV in the first place which is where the (about) 10% comes from.

    Bb Help

Are you having trouble getting the crank arm off, or the bb out? From what I can make out you're having an issue getting the left crank off? It's a simple case of applying more force. Get a longer spanner or someone much bigger / stronger. Also, hitting the crank extractor with a mallet will help.
  9. That's how I like my women. I think that's the appeal. She's not very photogenic though.
  10. I'll let it stew and see what people come up with, but the idea of the question is to make you realize something that seems very accurate (99% is the answer most people estimate) isn't actually right when you think it over some more.
  11. Lets say that you live on an island. On this island there are 100,000 people. And on this Island 1 out of every 1000 people are HIV positive. The test to see if you are HIV positive is 99% accurate. Meaning if a person isn't HIV positive, 1% of the time the test will say they are, and if a person is HIV positive, 1% of the time the test will tell them they aren't. If you get your test result and it says you are HIV positive according to the test results, what are the chances that you are indeed HIV positive?

  14. Sensible post time! Whether you are right footed or left footed when you play football (kicking a ball) has nothing to do with which foot you ride with forwards. If that were the case, 95% of the forum would ride with their right foot forward. In reality, it's pretty much a 50:50 split. I actually rode with a guy who was 'dominant foot confused', when he would do things like bunny hops or 180's etc he would have one foot forwards and when he was gaping / pedal hopping he would switch to the other, meaning if he bunnyhopped to back wheel on a wall, he'd have to do a 180 backwards spin on the pedals to continue to gap. Generally, whichever foot you have forwards when you're gapping / pedalhops is the foot you should have forwards for everything else. Another way to tell is get in the sprint start position, which foot do you have forwards? That foot is the same foot you should have forwards when you ride. Same with jumping over a hurdle, you have one leg that goes over first, and one that leaves the ground last, the foot that goes over first is the foot you should be riding forwards with.
  15. Yeah Tomm's right. It's actually considered (for the lack of knowing the official term) harassment to be 'disciplined' in front of customers, you're supposed to be taken back to an office or some appropriate place. Don't quit, that would be your strongest position. And make a complaint to his boss. If you then get fired, you can claim unfair dismissal and get a chunk of change.

    Minecraft

You can sort of, technically it's piracy but generally the creator of minecraft seems pretty lax when it comes to that. You won't be able to play multiplayer though.

    Other Hobbies

I'm into the whole atheist movement out here, so I spend time online defending atheism, especially evolution and gay rights. I really need a winter hobby though.
