  1. Put them forward, the sweep of the bars will match your arms better. If the bits of your bars where you grip slope down and backwards like on a Raleigh Chopper you'll strain your wrists. With the bars forward it won't be so bad. I just don't understand how people ride with those awful dead flat bars like the Toxsin ones.
  2. That's stupid - sometimes people have just got to be told. Half the trouble with TF is the bunch of do-gooders who won't say anything that might annoy anyone. Like when someone posts ridiculously appauling photographs and everyone says 'Nice photos mate' - perhaps if they said 'They're crap' the idiot would actually put some effort in next time.
  3. They still call themselves Asians and not Europeans.

My dad's been in the TA 30 years, and they're paid him to fly all over the world, everything from parascending in Cyprus to Skiing in Austria. He hasn't be shot at.

It'll be better than a 9 to 5 office job...
  6. Sorted. Needed XVid, got it from Nopogo.
  7. There was a video, from OTN I think, called vinceteva.mpg. Where can I find the codec? I think a link to the codec was posted with the video but I cant find it. Thanks.
  8. That grease will be fine. I tend to use Castrol LM grease, although it's a bit thicker so more suited to headsets, etc.
  9. You can always copy the pattern off another wheel. Just make sure the valve is between two 'diverging' spokes, so you get maximum clearance for the pump. If you copy another wheel that has the same number of holes then you can't go wrong. Unless the other wheel is wrong...
  10. Absolute bargain if you want a longer (21") bike... HOFFMAN 2005 RHYTHM IL1 BIKE Price £229 at www.extreme-direct.co.uk RRP was around £300 or more last year. And these are perfect for all types of riding, not just dirt - just watch Jon Taylor ride his (PL1 - same geometry) on vert or ramps.
  11. Or, learn a new skill and do it yourself. I really isn't difficult to build a wheel.
  12. Remember to fly your Union Flag the correct way up - broad white side at the top where it meets the pole.
  13. What does this 'meh' I keep seeing actually mean? I have no idea what that means!
  14. Yes, 100%. No problem with people seeking a better life, but they shouldn't bite the hand that feeds them. Our nation's way of life should not be 'diluted'.
  15. Ask for 3 cross pattern, double butted stainless steel spokes and they should be able to do that. You can use electrical tape for a rim tape if they haven't got one wide enough to cover the holes in the rim.
  16. Yeah sure, I'll PM you mine now...
  17. Yes yes yes! Hoffman Disrupter's are excellent bikes. I got the 2005 IL1. Look around and see if you can see the 2005 IL1 in the sale - buy Ride BMX mag and check some adverts out. It's a better spec than the 2006 EL1. Damn good bikes though.
  18. Going off topic... how do you tighten bearings on Wellgo magnesium pedals? They have a 6mm allen cap on the end.
  19. There's quite a little 'scene' in Liverpool... currently we have... Me (Ian) D-L-B Adam from Merseytrial Lee McCourt (also from Merseytrial) Jon Fisher Spunkey Monkey Boy (!) Tom from Colwyn Bay And others make cameo appearances now and then. I expect some people will be riding this weekend, I'll probably be out in Liverpool on one of the days at least.
  20. So that's why you're called Monkey...
  21. I meant the custom geometry ones' that Martyn rode...
  22. But they're not Pace forks though. They're USE forks with the Pashley crown on them.
