  1. Animal habitats are destroyed on a daily basis, from woodland in the UK to rain forests in the Amazon. I sympathise with those caught up in natural disasters and I wouldn't wish it on anybody, but it just goes to show that as human's we're not special, immune or invincible and that we're at the mercy of nature just like the animals. Still, these hurricanes don't really compare to 'the Tsunami' in January...
  2. Yeah, is that guy missing some keys or something??
  3. Think I'll go for the slim one then. I saw the stuff about the AC adapter on the Sony website, not sure if that affects the latest shop stock or not. I'll find out... Thanks everyone.
  4. Iron left on the bathroom floor turned on?
  5. Yeah, Ford Motor Company owns Volvo, Ford Blue Oval, Land Rover, Jaguar and Aston Martin. It's good to have fingers in all the pies!!
  6. It's not for me, it's a birthday present for my girlfriend, and she wants a PS2, not an X-box or Game Cube. I don't really know a lot because I've never been into gaming. If I buy it from Dixons or Amazon I might stretch to the 3 year extended guarantee in case she wrecks it. Then again, I spilt a pint of Draught Bass over my sisters one and it didn't damage it at all, just made it sticky! Anyway, thanks for all the comments. The slimline one is meant to be quieter. Don't need to buy it for 6 weeks or so, but want to get it early in case shops sell out close to Xmas.
  7. What? How is it 'a bit random'?? Perhaps he pulled on the freehub, perhaps the axle is snapped? I get fed up with people using the world 'random' when describing things that aren't in any way random. Go and read a book on Chaos theory. As for the hub, the usual cause of skipping is a broken spring. Yes, just one broken spring can cause skipping, as can: Worn pawls Worn bearings Bent axle Worn/damaged ratchet ring I never used to email or ask Hope, because then you're giving them an opportunity to say 'That'll be fifty pounds please'. Instead, I used to send the wheel to them (DON'T SEND JUST THE HUB) with a note saying it keeps skipping and also my postal address.
  8. Looking at the number of people riding Deng's frames I'd say it's doing anything but killing the sport. Companies like Zoo, Echo and Onza are making trials far more accessible, meaning more riders, more choice of products and more opportunities.
  9. I'm thinking of buying a Playstation 2. I was looking at prices and found the standard PS2 for around £100-£120. But I also found this one which is a smaller updated version for about the same price. Is there any reason why I would be better off buying the bigger one than the smaller (newer) one? Whichever I buy, it'll be new, and price isn't really important.
  10. My Mono Trial bones them all on a 180!!! Don't worry about heat dissipation, this is trials not downhill...
  11. Yeah, on 26" wheels the spoke length difference is usually about 4mm. Not sure for 20" though...

  13. Ben, It wasn't sarcasm - I keep getting confused as to what are 3D renders and what are actual photos!! I'm in no way criticising Deng's products either way - the sheer volume of trials specific parts available today is amazing. Imagine seeing all this 5 years ago!!
  14. Aust, I don't think he was implying BT had copied Onza - we all know that there have been several Limey prototypes and that Danny has been testing them. I think 'joshywa' is just trying to say that lots of designs look similar - perhaps BT/Onza was a bad example, but look at XTP/Czar, etc. He's a new member and probably a bit confused by it all.
  15. I think it's a good idea, although I've never broken a bottom bracket before. As longs as it isn't super heavy then it's worth a try. How many bike companies does Deng want?? These computer graphics are so good - tyres with the spiky mould bits, a chain with a stiff link and check the detail on the Magura caliper, graphics and all. And those welds... or is that an actual real-life photo??
  16. If anyone wants to contact me, phone or email. Can't access TF at home.
  17. Yes, but when you buy off someone, they give you the money first, so he wouldn't have been able to rip you off. You could PM him - he's in the New Members group and called 'random'
  18. Looking or talking differently, no problem. But if they came round saying that the colour of the wallpaper disturbed them, and that pictures of women on the walls had to come down, and that I shouldn't have bacon in the fridge, then they could sod right off.
  19. Toxsin grips! Now available in grey, red, yellow or turquoise!
  20. Good question - I bought 1.8-2.0mm DT's and they were a bit tight in the Chris King flanges.
  21. Or has just spent time learning the best methods and techniques.
