  1. Guerilla isn't cool, and neither is Che Guavara for that matter.
  2. I think Gav Bedford's on the team now. But I see what you mean - I suppose Danny will have a better deal with 24/7, like Akrigg got a better deal with Mongoose. What's happened to Kurt Brain??
  3. Avoid the word Monkey. Far far too many people have used this word for far too many things. Any 'coolness' that word had, in any of its spellings, has long since disappeared.
  4. How about... Ching Chong Chinaman Went To Milk A Cow Ching Chong Chinaman Didn't Know How Ching Chong Chinaman Pulled The Wrong Bit Ching Chong Chinaman Got Covered In Shit Records
  5. If you had any sense you'd have read your own posts which implied there MIGHT have been a problem with the equipment you were using. So you've never come across a stand with a built in dish scale before, and you've built 875 wheels (and were sad enough to count)? If you know how to build frames, you would know how to test if a frame is bent. After you've finished welding you should put the frame on an alignment table and cold set it if it is out of alignment. If you don't have an alignment table then you're building gash frames. Call 99% of the young ones brainless, but you're spelling puts a 5 year old to shame.
  6. Why even start this thread?? Just seems like rubbish to me. If you think your frame is bent, get a wheel from this 'shop' that you know isn't wrong and try it in the frame. If the frame is bent, just move the wheel over. We've all done that before, countless times I've had to keep adjusting the wheel because of bent stays or wrecked drop-outs. Just get on with it and stop giving us this running commentary.

  8. Onza/DDG didn't start with trials... Yes, companies like 24/7 would be silly to miss out on an opportunity to get into trials. Why not? Lots of people want trials bikes, why not cash in? And you KNOW that they'll be listening to Danny and getting his input on the frame, so it'll be good.
  9. I would watch it, but I don't have a TV. It would be funny if a Hippo attacked the man. Those things are ferocious. I think it's about time more hunting idiots got turned on. I'd love it if a whole hunt's worth of hounds turned on the hunt master and ripped him to bits. What? It'd only be killing vermin, cos after all, we're no better than the rats... [Edited for atrocious spelling mistakes]
  10. Some people still buy classic cars. The point is we all have a choice, and we can choose NOT to jump on the bandwagon. It all depends what you want to do - in the case of the cars you asked us to compare, well, I'd rather drive round the town centre in Gumdrop, but the Ferrari would suit better for a blast down the motorway. Well done on the bars - I didn't like trials bars when I tried them. But then that's the point, there isn't any right or wrong way to set up your bike.
  11. Write to Hope and ask them. Then you could include the correspondance in the research section of your report. You could also try finding out about different materials.
  12. Kanye West, Sean(nee) Paul and Jay-Z can f right off. I can't stand that stuff. Went to see Skinnyman yesterday night and it was amazing - pure hard UK hiphop, will REAL DJing, freestyling and improvisation. None of this in-it-for-the-money rubbish. The after party was then spoilt because it was in this club where the DJ felt that he had to play 'club' shit-hop.
  13. Well Napoleon, thanks for taking the time to jot that down. I see where you're coming from - sponsored riders will put good words in for their sponsors, but in Wayne's case I'm going by what I've seen him get up to recently. My honigs wore down fast, but all the time I had them in they were excellent. One problem was that they were so grippy that bit by bit the calipers moved (and I'd done them up super tight) until the pads were wearing at an angle, meaning I only got half the usual life out of them. I ordered the blues and I'll see how they go. If I don't like them, perhaps I'll try some Plaz pads - I run them on my BMX on chrome rims and they're spot on (unless its raining). When I first started riding trials, Mavic CD rims and black pads seemed invincible.... but then, I'm used to having brakes that slip a bit. I often see people land on the corner of something and the brake slip, and they say 'Shitty brake, would've had that'. If my brake slips I just try again, aiming to get on the top rather than the corner. Does mean that when my brake works well I really appreciate it, although I think part of being a good rider is setting up your bike well, so blaming the bike just makes you look stupid. Whatever, I'll just have to wait and see.
  14. I used to ride trials motorbikes and did a few competitions. Only ever rode motorcross bikes when I've bored a CR125 off my parent's neighbour.
  15. This is why it's in such good condition, because Luke rode it like he'd been born on a bike. Video's 3 years old, and that was one of the best summer's riding I ever had, on my old Vario that was just falling apart. Video Link 1.4mb
  16. Well, if you don't worry about what you're going to do when you're older now, when you're older you might just wish you had...
  17. Dropping your white pants in front of your g/f and revealing a nice set of skids is quite embarassing. She's used to it now though....
  18. Yeah, natural selection! We shouldn't interfere, it's natures way of weeding out the stupid genes.
  19. Shack sounded shit anyway. Makes people think of a decrepit old shed on a seafront.
  20. The point is this... the guy built the bike HE wants to ride. Too many people I'm sure just buy the longest lowest silver frame they can because they think it'll get them the highest tap or the biggest gap. Perhaps this guy wants to enjoy riding his bike. Perhaps that's why he rides his bike - for fun, not to prove a point. It's like because you have a bicycle, the general public assume you should have a seat. You have a trials bike and the trials public assume it should be long and silver. Same psychology on two different levels. I get more than enough stick for having 2.5" rise bars on my bike - why? I chose the bars because I wanted them, and they make the bike comfortable to ride. Oh, so they might mean I can tap 2" lower than someone with flat bars - big deal, I want to have fun not inches. And to summarise... look at the bikes people have ridden in trials history, not just Petr Kraus - I am a FIRM believer that ANY trials move can be learnt on ANY trials bike, including this Heavy Tools. Too many people use bike components to excuse/explain not being able to do something. Just get on with it - you can have the best set up in the world, but it's not going to get you up that wall. Hope you have fun on the bike mate.
  21. That's it then, I'm sold!!! I've seen the stuff you've been up to Wayne and if they hold on that kind of stuff then they're more than good enough for me. Cheers guys.
  22. I've been through 2 sets of the Honigs in about 4 weeks... so how do the new blue ones compare (preferable replies from people who've actually used them)? Also are they £10 plus P+P or £11 plus P+P? The site gives two prices. Thanks.
