    What Viscosity?

Im going to have to go to halfords to get it, so if you know of anything that they have. I have normally gone for citron car brake fluid which is mineral oil. Adam do you know the viscosity of water?? I might go for something inbetween.

    What Viscosity?

I spelt it wrong, but it is the thickness of the oil Which pretty much dictates how well it will move through the hose, and how heavy it will feel.
  3. What viscosity do magura recommend for their brakes?? Its in the manual but I wont be able to check before I go to buy some so if some one could look for me please  i would realy appritiate it. Also do you reckon if I went less viscious it would be better?
  4. People do make designs worse rather than better all the time, I just cant think of any examples. (Y) Of course they dont do it on purpose, but it does happen
  5. Its ok, I did it last night in 5 minutes. Jobs a good un  Was really easy, I knew what I was doing really its just weird thinking about it at work without everything in front of you. Cheers for all the advice. The coil was the perfect length for the hole so its all spot on. Yes wayne it was the bottom one. Because the thread was totally stripped i didnt need to drill it out at all so it should be fine. Thanks for all the advice B)
  6. You missed off gavin bedford and james porter there mate.
  7. ok I will have to look when I get home to see if the kit has a drill bit. Why would this threaded insert be better than a helicoil, I thought heilcoils were pretty much good enough, if not better/stronger than the origonal thread.?? Cheers for the help. Hope said it should be ok, Im just not 100% sure on the proccess. Im sure its easy enough, I just want to be ready so I can get on with it.
  8. Ok thats what I was told you see. So what size do I need to drill the hole?? A 5.2mm bit??
  9. Phil is gona be MAADD hahaha (Y)
  10. I thought that the size to drill would be 1 mm bigger than the size it is now. the cut the thread in and the srew the coil in?? I should already have a big set of coiling stuff at home, so I dont need to buy anything.
  11. Just a normal key tic old boy. Im sure hope would be as good as gold about it as it is a strange thing to happen, but I want to ride so helicoiling it will be much quicker. If I do it right :"> Ha ha
  12. It wasnt new, I had taken it off to change forks. I thought helicoils were stronger than threaded aluminium?? It will only have to be 1 mm brigger so I think there will be enough. Although you have now worried me about the durability (Y)

    Uci............

Did you finish on less marks than savage aust??
  14. I was about to ask the exact same thing. Is there any chance of an up to date competitior list??
  15. Well well well indeed MANNING!!!! Was a very good ride, everyone is sound who I met, and waynio's a bit good ent he (Y)
  16. No not at all danny, I had it set so that the bolt just came out the other side of the caliper. I had set it up and done the bolts up almost tight, checked the brake alignement, it was good so I just went to nip them up and out came all the thread (Y) Im sure hope would sort something but its not there problem, I am the one who obviously did it up to much (although it never actually felt like the bolt was tight) so I am just going to helicoil it.
  17. I tried to put a bolt on the back but there wasnt enough room and it catches the disc and stops it fromm moving.
  18. I have tried both and I would say that for a fine less harsh grind go for the stone, and for a harsh beast of a grind use the metal cutting. I use metal cutting.
  19. Well I was doing up the bolts that bolt the caliper to the fork, and it pulled the thread out. So one of the threads is missing now so I think i will have to helicoil it. Has anyone had to do this before?? Will it work, is there enough area for the thread to be strong enough?? Genrally any tips/advice??
  20. Its ok now, cheers for the offer sliders. Just ignore my privious post.
  21. Would anyone be able to bring some brand new brown koxx bloxx to bristol on tuesday so that I can but them, because I have been let down by the trials shop so I dont have any pads???

    Andorra

Is there any results from the uci europeans??
  23. If you are using a disk then I would say get the new fatties if you can as the otherones were not really designed for disc but the new ones are. If your using a rim brake then most forks will be ok, but dont get those fatty copies because they flex loads and snap at the weld at the top. (Y) I have just got my smart guys today and they look and feel very tough, but only time will tell.
