I havent watched the clip, but when doing big gaps to front wheel you sometimes have to gap and land the front wheel right on the edge of the object. This really helps you to get your weight forward and up because you are basically stopping dead. Then hopefully you can roll the tyre over the edge and on top.

Yes tim, cool site. And I love that bangor vid, Im so glad that is available again And a very well done on the 2nd place in latvia  , real cool. And that pic of your front wheel :ermm: <_<

Danny has become confused there (again <_< ) and is talking about the last hampshire. Hook woods is a really good venue as there is a different variety of materials and terrain. Lots of wood and rocks and some mud. I just hope its dry.

They are very tough, you wont be breaking one very quickly. Slight weight penalty.

True james, you have to use what works for you. Think about when you do rail gaps. That is pretty much exactly what you do, go off the edge as there is no other option. James you do go off the edge alot of the time. You dont start there, but once you have dropped your front, your going off the edge. Im sure you do, just going to go and check my back :)
-
Yeah lock it out. Like said above. For sure, do it. Its so easy and is the best solution :) Do it EDIT: Take mech off and look at the bolt. There will be a C clip thing. Get srewdriver and puch this clip off. Then you can remove the spring, then put everything else back on and srew it into the mech hanger :)

If you go for a panaracer its got to be the trail blaster for sure. Light and very grippy. Steve when I had a short bike I had a skinnier front tyre than the rear. But now I have gone longer and your on a t-rex I think you need to have a fat front aswell because of the way you use your front wheel with the longer bike.
-
Steve mate that is because of what I mentioned above. Maybe you need to work on that. Or sometimes you can take off to far over the edge and then you and the bike just drop and that can hurt. There is a skill to it, like everything the more you do it the more it becomes second nature. Remeber to look at your rear wheel when hopping to the edge and dont forget that when you drop the front the bike will pivot forward slightly e.g. get closer to the edge. I hope that makes some sense :)

Yes it gives you a kick and makes the gap a touch smaller. It also gives you more grip, because the tyre grips around the edge. When riding in the wet or on really slippery obstacles you have to gap like this or you die. In the wet you have to use the edges to get grip. EDIT: Just to add to this, you have to have your gapping technique pretty dialled to do this properly, and by this I mean that you preload your hub and you push against your brake before you go. This means that you leave the edge in one clean motion and your wheel doesnt roll at all. When you watch some people gap, they roll slightly on the back wheel. Its hard to explain, I think you understand though?? :ermm:
-
Steve is there really actually any question here?? EL GATO front and rear. Wont go wrong son. Steve you seen me ride, quite harsh sometimes and I hardly ever pinch them. And the grip is :ermm: EDIT: Sorry and only 860g

What about having this years comp a team effort??

It will sanp in a lot of places in not alot of time. Try a short control. I was going to try an alibongo until Planet x showed what true c**ts they are. I would never buy a planet x product again. The control is very similar geo, only a touch longer, and you have the peace of mind that it will never break. (well not for a very very very very very very long time). :P

It depends on with or without gloves alot. I use try all black grips without gloves. I feel I get the best feel from them. In the summer though, they can get very greasy which becomes really annoying, but thats only on really hot days and when your riding all day in it. My experiance with lock ons was that they twist slightly within the collars, which means that its never 100% with the bar which got right on my tits.

Exactly rowan. I have addiadas as well. spot on
-
Why do people seem to think that its either skate shoes or trials shoes?? There are loads of trainers out there that are spot on for the job.
-
OK. Trials guru deserves a kiss for reminding everyone of this. And Janson needs a bigger kiss for 1. Actually still having it and 2. For uploading it.
