I would recommend a thompson stem above any other, even though I dont really like the bolts. Light, stiff and strong and expensive. But worth it. They are available in all sorts of lengths and rise. I have a 110x0 degree on my 04 control. But I have a high headset and some spacers, so you could try the 10 degree one. Im shorter than you though. I think Im 5,10

Both the zoo risers, and the onza carbon risers are very nice indeed. I run the onzas but would have no complaints in using the zoo's either. I know you dont want this riser malarky, but it might be a welcome change :D

I had several of them. The threads do go, but you can helicoil them with ease if nessasary. But if you just want to try it out to see if you like the new rise, reach etc. then go for it. It will last a fair while, and when it goes you could get a better quality stem with the same geo, or try a slightly different one. I say yes :D

Basically, UCI competitions dont allow the use of anything other than your tyre to get you through a section. e.g. 1 foot down is a dab, leaning on the bash or pedal 1 dab.

It looks like me and sam will be down on the saturday afternoon so we can help out a bit setting up if you need andy. We will most likely be with dan so whatever he is doing (Y)

I dont understand, why would that f**k your head tube anymore than if u cut it down??

True, good point. But I think that what might have happened is they told him the interview would go out on whatever date, and he has said yeah it will be out by then. And either MBUK moved the interview forward to fill a space, or it has taken longer. I know music has been driving him mad, and you cant do much without the music.

I side hop both ways anyway as I think its important too. I dont see any real benafits. I actually tried leaning both ways last night whilst just track standing and there was no difference. Tunni goes his "wrong way" and still gets high. People will say if he learnt his "proper way" then he could go even higher. If I rode a mod I would definatly side hop to my right as the best way. Its only my mech and the fact that going both ways is importenat that I learnt to the left. Im at work so I cant really get some pics, but if some one could find some pics displaying the landing of a proper and a wrong side hop I think it would be interesting to compare. I could very well be wrong so I think it is a good subject of discussion. (Y)

Im sure we can all wait. After all what do you want? A dvd now? Or a fantastic dvd later?

I would say if you were going to go for expert, then go for pro. it will be more fun because the obstacles will be really hard. who cares about other riders, just enter the one you think will be more fun. I would say pro for you because you would enter expert.

I dont htink thats true really. If you think about it when you land a side hop and your tucked over the bike, think about your legs. If for example your right foot forward and you side hop to the right, you can lean the bike more to the right because your leg is not in the way of the rear tyre. If you side hop to the left your leg comes over the top and you can lean it about the same. I think the only reason hopping the oppostie way to your good foot is good for is clearance issues, and not really being able to land better. I think it would be good to get some pics up displaying the two different ways, then we can have a good natter about the pro's and cons of each (Y)

I really wanted to go to this, but 8 hours is a little bit to much. (Y) A real shame it had to be in a rather remote location (i know why it is, just a shame).

If you use the split link then it is just as strong as the rest of the chain. The kool chain split link is well designed. It has pins the same as the chain and a rather thick plate that takes all the stress. The problem is when you keep taking off the clip to undo the chain and then use it again. That is going to weaken the clip and thats why they can fall off. If you take the split link off then get a new clip every time you rejoin it, then you wont have a problem. If you join the chain using your chain tool, then it will never be as strong as the normal links, and not as strong as the split link.

go to pashley web site, click on the tv series, then click on the tv. this should open up a new page, then twist the dial on the big tv until team comes up
-
You seem to be doing every thing right. Some would say learn to go the other way, and I would agree. But if to your left feels comfortable then stick with it, but if you can, try both ways. The only thing I would say is try and get as controled on the back wheel as possible  Doing well though :)

if i use water, i would want to put anti freeze in there aswell. Plus is water any good in the long run? Would I have to bleed it every 6 months? Does anti freeze mess up the internals?
