So both the d321/ex729 are 36mm wide yeah. Will the spoke length be the same as with my 521

I want to replace my front d521 with something wider. I would like to stick with mavic on the front because they are awsome rims. My d521 is 28mm wide I believe, so my question is; What is the widest rim mavic do?? I have looked on websites but cant find many width's and weights. If you could help out please. Links would be nice if poss.

Because my ones with 4 bolt snapped in half and I only ever used a disc. They are quite good forks as long as you dont do too many taps. I got my ones direct from pace.

I cover the front brake for taps but dont pull and let the front wheel spin. SOmetimes when I mess a tap up and get the pedals wrong I end up endoing on the edge of the wall. You dont want that to happen without your front brake as you can imagine. If its like a tap to gap to front wheel you dont want to be faffing around when your on the back wheel trying to find the brake leveer.

Im pretty sure the reason why they are not in the team is because they didnt compete in the nationals last year. The team is selected on last years results.

The reason that I think it is and is the reason I gave up trying to get in the team is that they base the team selection on last years results. Correct me if im wrong but Dan didnt enter and niether did ash. So there for using the UK biu rules they are not eligable(sp?) When I looked at the team I noticed that Nick goddard is also a reserve while the people he has beaten at all three of the nationals this year are in the team. This method makes no sense to me at all. When you have 3 national rounds before the worlds then surly you should base your desion on who's hot at the moment and not on who was hot last year. Another stupid BIU rule. I retract my statement about nick after having a quick check.

When I had my bmx it was brakeless. I just couldnt get the back brake to work proper so I took it off. Its good for skateparks because you just flow.

I dont really know what you mean when you say you progressed? What did you progress? Certain moves or generally? Before you broke it did you use to leave the front brake off until needed? Some people say it can make you gap further and help balance on the back wheel. It could of be at an odd angle, although if you had your front and back the same angle then I doubt it would make a differece.

I would have to say koxx brown on harsh grind. Both the koxx and the plaz work very well when dry. I would say the plaz probaly bites better. But in the wet the koxx actually locks and holds where as the plaz do not.

Dont mean to hi jack here but what sort of fork lengths do most people have?? And do you know what fork length the control was designed around?? Thanks

I say go for the v12 mag's, they are fine for biu bashing and as every body has said light, grippy, strong, sealed bearings. I do bash my ones a bit and in a year there is only 1 pin missing!!!!!! And they still spin smooth as marco hosel's riding. Although JT you could just get the vp's and cover them in tar, then you will have a light grippy pedal for £15 (Y)

Plus I think it looks loads better if you dont stop pedaling. Smoother.

Lets all remeber that power comes from rapid contraction of your muscles. People who lift weights get stronger but not more powerful because they are training their muscles to contract slowly.

We all know that the simple/easy tricks get the crowds going wow and the tech stuff that a spectator wouldnt even notice gets the trials riders going. I do think that hopping over and around people is crap but the no front wheel stuff I think is cool, it shows the crowd just how controled trials is.
