  1. 18:17 is REALLY light. Got pics of the front tyre would be awesome, I might get one eventually...
  2. No! Strong chain > Light chain. Snapping chans suck, KMC Kool ***.
  3. I love Inur. And for the record, I rode a bog standard ACS Claws freewheel for easily over a year, NEVER skipped on me. No servicing, didn't even loctite/weld the lockring. My King skipped easily 20 times in the first few months. Got new rings and it's been mint since. Glue seems sketchy, got pics?
  4. Looks great, but can't you shorten the chain a link or two?
  5. Really helpful reply there, mate. Keep it up and you'll be in nmc in no time. A lighter rear tyre like a Schwalbe Big Betty will save a couple of hundred grams compared to a Maxxis, but they do pinch easier, so if you're a harsh rider it might not be worth it.
  6. I think I have the old sitrials videos somewhere...
  7. But bashplates fill a purpose. A slimmer one would be cool, I like the idea of splitters...
  8. I agree, the Xen is REALLY nice. Giro E2 is nice too, bit more racy and not as round shaped as the Xen.
  9. Also, if they hired a designer with a clue they would probably spell/language check, which means no Denglish! I would miss the ski plates and brake levels.
  10. i want to have intercourse with matt staples.
  11. Big Betty is the Schwalbe to use on the back. Need to be a little smoother than on a Maxxis or Michelin but you save a lot of weight. Might give the Nobby Nic a go, 2.1" might be too narrow on a 39 mm rim though?
  12. What width? 2.1, 2.25 or 2.4?
  13. I like Ribos. They're comfy, grip the pedals well, fit snugly. Plus, having a pair of shoes dedicated to riding I won't get my normal shoes ripped or dirty. I find the Ribos to last a year or a bit more, mine are around 12-13 months old and they're becoming pretty raped, but they work. I guess I could buy some other shoes to ride in, I used to ride in skate shoes. Need to find some that are snug and have good soles. Converse chucks fit nicely but the soles are way too thin for me to ride in.
  14. Dave Gorman's Googlewhack Adventure: 9/10 Hilarious. Bit geeky but funny. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang: 6/10 Pretty weird story, good acting but was a bit meh.
  15. I think they look tonnes better on a foot, and will probably look less tacky when covered in shit and mud. Just like the previous space boots. Also, 80 quid isn't too bad for a pair of shoes...
  16. At least they're not on some retarded server with a 56k modem like a few years back. And to be honest, do they need to be better? People will buy the Deng crap either way, and if you want descriptions in English you can just check tartybikes or selectbikes, and there you get a price quote too.
  17. I love the look of pashley frames. So beautiful. However, the geometry was designed back when they had no clue on how a proper trials bike should ride.
  18. Shoulnd't be a problem with dece pads though? It'll be the tryall vs dx32 debate all over again. "tryalls are too soft for anything, and dx32 too narrow". While in reality, everything but brown bloxx works really nicely on tryalls, especially cousts. Mag rim + coust pads would probably equal WIN.
  19. Robert Janson So boring it nearly makes me cry.
  20. Seeing as most brits tend to use the bath tub for some reason, Deng will probably just CNC mill a one-piece tub in "7075" aluminium.
  21. badass trailer. also cool that you let us see the whole moves, rather than fading out before landing, like so many other videos i've seen.
  22. What's wrong with a syringe bleed?!
  23. Good way to see if it is bled right is to use one hand to pull the lever and one hand to feel the pads. If the pads start moving just as you start pulling the lever, it should be pretty much air free. i did a perfect bleed today with the help of peter b, but we had to let some water out because my pads are too close to the rim. with the tpa all the way out the lever would bite too far out, and i cant be bothered adjusting the pads.
  24. Epoxy resin can be pretty flexy and resilient though. CF is pretty tough.
