  1. Hey got this through the door yesterday from tarty. Getting the rest for christmas so I shall post pictures when its complete, a little teaser though. Finally finished it and got it all built up
  2. Possibly a sub form on here with guids on stuff such as brake bleeding etc. Then those of us who are confident can try them and those who are not still have their lbs.
  3. Aye spose so, wont need alot to remove it, tis pretty thin
  4. Hey, I was just about to strip my magura lever body and calipers with nitromours when the thought occured to me about the seales being plastic. Correct me if I am wrong but it will melt the seals right? If this is correct, anyone have any ideas on how to strip the black paint off without damaging the seals, peferably not sanding.
  5. Wont make that much difference, and I hate to tell you that.... Overclocking an Allendale core from 1.86 to 2.4 ghz, THEORETICALLY gives you the performance of a Conroe 2.4ghz except for one kinda major thing. You only have 2mb of cache where as the 6600 models up have the 4mb cache. This makes a difference when fast transfers are needed. Thats the difference between allendale and conroe. However generally as you are running a higher FSB due to the locked multiplier this shouldnt matter too much. The 2.4ghz 6600 has a multiplier of 9 with 266 fsb as standard. The 1.83ghz 6300 has a multiplier of 7 with a 266fsb as standard. To get to the same 2.4 ghz you need to overclock the fsb to 340-345 depending what your mobo will do. With the higher FSB your processor will perform better. I am not sure on the technicalities behind it but for some reason for example a 200 mhz fsb with a 10x multiplier will be worse than a 400 mhz fsb with a 5x multiplier. Someone might know.
  6. Did not notice that difference in the names, shows how much I pay attention I meant rides stock not a Zhi Z1, I want the Limey 2 when it finally gets into tartys.
  7. He never said mod or stock I was assuming stock as I ride one amd tarty just got them in.
  8. Put in the cd/dvd drives first, then mount the cpu on the mobo THEN put mobo in, PLACE ALL COMPONENTS before cabling !!!! I made the mistake of putting in dvd drive last, man that was a pain. Just a quick point I noticed you were planning on overclocking. Well the DS3 is a better overclocker than the S3 as many people will tell you. Its worth the extra if your planning on overclocking and gaming. Assuming your gaming due to the gfx card.
  9. It will ride horrible, running a Mod stem on a stock frame is just nasty. You need one of the echo hi-fi stems.
  10. Well I have a frame thats been mentioned in this thread at this moment in time. Saracen Mad Team Replica - Got Bored Koxx Levelboss 1040 - Got Bored Toxsin 1 - Sold as I gave up Koxx Levelboss 1040 - Bought when started again Damon Watsons Adamant A1 - It is still working just about, but completely shagged to f**k now.
  11. Not sure if this has been mentioned its a few months old sopossibly has been only just found it on OTN http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/showthrea...4617#post304617 Anyway if it has my bad, if not enjoy. Reason I wont have noticed this is it was posted in august when its dry and I'm out riding my bike
  12. NEC I think have made a chip to lpay both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD and normal DVDs, I believe it also upscales normal DVDS to HD size, ie 720p or 1080p. I think HD-DVD will win, its got microsoft behind it, only the biggest software manufacturer in the world with the most money Also its half the price of blu-ray. I would prefer the storage of blu-ray with the price of HD-DVD but we cant have a perfect world As for the PS3 doubling the 360 specs, this is not true. Its processor has more Floating Point calculation power due to the 7 SPE's but it only has one general core. Games use more general power than FP thus the 360 which can handle 6 threads, 2 on each of the 3 general cores, is better suited to gaming, the PS3 handles 8 threads, but only 1 is for general use. The GFX chip is also very inferior as many many many sites have proved due to the out of date architechture of it, they believe the R500 in the 360 maybe be up to 2 x as powerful as the RSX chip, it is however guanteed that the 221gb of bandwidth available to the R500 is more than the 48 gb available to the RSX Technically the PS3 is more powerful with 1 tb of power, but its not a useful 1tb for games Shame I was hoping the PS3 would be better than it is as I was thinking of getting one, but now I wont.
  13. There are more for all of them but some mates came over so I didnt finish them. They only scratch/crack discs if your clumsy and jog it whilst its playing. However on wired controllers they have the break point so if you trip on it the wire snaps, 360 is fine. Also if you buy a 360 now all those bugs gone it was only the first 6 months that were bad and Microsoft have said they will replace them with new ones not refurbished old ones. But as it has been said many times before, go with the console that has the games you want.
  14. If they were all released now this is how I do it, write down all the pros and all the cons then decide. Heres a list of reasons for each console(top models): 360 Features: Xbox Live, great online service, established, ONE username for ALL games. Lots of Exclusive Titles such as PGR3 for racing fans Gear of War for FPS fans, Viva Pinata for younger one if there are any. PC connectivity, stream to the xbox 360 or store files on it. Wireless controllers. Out of the box HD capable as cables supplied. DVD rental online and downloadble tv shows. Plays DVDs. Relatively cheap at £280 or £299 with 2 games and extra controller at the moment. 20gb Hard-drive Backwards compatible with Xbox games PS3 Featues: Playstation Network, online gaming and content A few exclusive titles such as Resistence Fall of Man (others to come soon) SIXAXIS controller, nice motion sensing and wireless 60GB Hard-Drive and can be upgraded to more easily. Blu ray capabilities Backwards compatible with Ps1 and Ps2 games Wii Features: WiiConnect 24, auto updates whilst "not on", it really is on still but it says off. Great wireless controller with motion sensing. The most exclusive titles available. Backwards compatible with Gamecube games AND controllers AND memory cards. Here are the reasons not to buy them 360: You need an addon for the HD-DVD function. Loud when watching DVDs Have to pay for online PS3: No HD out of the box, cables are required. Losing Exclusive titles rapidly. Wii: No HD option
  15. Even if we stopped shipping the frames over and stopped creating so much CO2 from burning fuel etc there are enough greenhouse gases in the atmostphere to the extent that if worldwide, we reduced the amount of greenhouse gases going into the atmosphere by 60-80%, the earth will still heat up by 5 degress, enough to cut off the gulf stream, give us more frequent and extreme weather and eventually leading to another ice age. They believe a mini ice age is on the way. We've polluted too much to stop now we just need to reduce them. Unfortunatley we can't stop shipping items and paiting them. If we did the world economy would no doubt collapse. Also us driving 400 miles to a comp and back pollutes far less than 1 american company leaving on all of their electrical equipment such as photocopiers, heating, computers air con etc over night when not in use.
  16. My god look at the size of the resevoir !!!! Sod hitting your knee on the stem, that hitting you would hurt. However the rotor is cool.
  17. That rotor is not new, I had one of those on my 2005 BB7, was a 203mm or whatever they were back then, but they ran out of normal cable discs so they sent the juicy 7 disc, was INSANE to say the least. I dont think they are that much different, maybe replaced a few interal parts here and there.
  18. Looks nice, just hope it is better than their hubs as I recall the hubs not being good for trials Not sure if I like the look of the caliper, but the lever and rotor look interesting. Any details about the importer for the UK and price?
  19. Project 8 is insane. Some of the S!ck challenges are such things as getting all the classic goals in one 2 minute run, which is hard if you mess one up, got to start again.
  20. Live Enabled Games Project Gotham Racing 3 Splinter Cell D.A Gears of War Pro Evo 6 Tony Hawks Project 8 Saints Row Call of Duty 3 Think that is all, anyone up for a race on PGR3 sunday evening?? I was thinking about doing a thread like this after I read about someones Xbox Live problems UPDATE: Added a few more live enabled games and also updated my gamercard Fancy a race anyone on PGR3?
  21. Im up for that sunday night, I have project 8 too which is a right laugh.
  22. Mine seems to be working fine, btw for the guy who hasnt got it yet, it is amazing. Had it since last wednesday, played online a couple of times just enjoying the single player at the moment. As for your connection problem try turning off console, resetting your router and broadband modem, test connection, then try. Me and a friend of mine had this problem on PGR3.
  23. Tarties are getting the 18T back in stock in about 9 days.
  24. I personally have found them to be cheese like. 2 hours and it flat spotted, yes I ama heavy rider, the echo 2007 rims are far stronger, also hold the grind better. No they are not the same rims, they are different for once.
  25. Just an idea, not sure if its an addon or easy to add. We have brake pads review section. I also know alot of people always ask about certain products are they good or not. How about a review section, then split that into more sub forums, such as Controls for bars, stems headsets, Drive for cranks cassetes etc. This way you can read reviews of the products you are after without having to ask and start a flame war between two products such as King vs Hope. Yet another idea, nothing to do with the skin really but would be a nice addition.
