  1. Yea Im leaning slighly towards a King as mine was faultless, worked a charm every time and felt 100% confident with it. Problem is with the pro 2 I have heard rumblings of very smooth riders breaking them.
  2. I have been thinking about which hub to get for a few weeks now. I have owned a King before and I am currently running a Hope XC. I remember the jump between the XC and King and how much I loved the hub but with the pro 2 around its a tough choice now. I am only concerned about the problems people have had with the pro 2's. So a little poll to see what people would go for.
  3. Thanks Adam, also just noticed the new update on your site with the crank weights top job. Also liking the new colour pictues as I was planning on buying some in red, nice to see them in red now.
  4. I dont spose anyone knows the weight of the adamant cranks do they? As I'm going to be buying some new cranks and thought they might be nice but if they weigh a ton I shall buy some burns. So does anyone know the weight??
  5. I own an adamant A1 (not quite the A2 but close) and a mate of mine has an Echo Pure. To be honest he is better than me on his pure but it takes getting used to bb rise. After riding both bikes, im half tempted to go back to little bb rise as high bb is nice on back wheel but for taps and everything else it hasnt really improved my riding, gaps have gone backwards. So its up to you, personally I would say its hard to decide now I've ridden both, Im sure if I rode a zero bb then I would be pants on that too, its just getting used to how each bike rides really.
  6. Thanks for the comments, Im the guy on the adamant. As for your question Ben, at first I hated it as I couldnt do anything as well as I could on a 1040 Koxx. However now I love it, gapping is finally starting to get good and sidehops I can never do but Im working on them. I do have a helmet and I used to wear it then for some reason I got out of the habbit of wearing it, but I think I shall start again as it is getting quite big riding wise now.

    New Koxx

Damn got beaten to pointing our onza did it first However I wouldnt buy one, cock up on a rail do you really trust 11st or so falling onto a carbon fibe tube at some speed, or worse going over and it hitting anoter rail. Then again on natural it could hit rocks, I dont like the idea personally.
  8. Nice pics, shame theres not one of anyone attempting that nice big wall I did before .
  9. At the bottom it says for US only doesnt it?
  10. Asked my dad its known as Instant metal, Im near guildford.
  11. I have no idea what its called, my dad just knew some mateys at a shop and they said "yea we can do this to it" and they did. I shall try find out, not sure if its commonly used. The frams an Adamant A1.
  12. Yea, they use it on lawnmowers and other stuff that revs and vibrates like hell.

  14. Ill take a pic, yes it is 4 bolt mount. Here we go
  15. Ok: 1. Buy a frame with a cross threaded mount. 2. Buy a drill bit, hardened as its only a steel bolt. 3. Drill it and notice the drill bits broken 4. Go buy 7 more drill bits of varying sizes. 5. Slowly drill it out and chisel it abit. 6. Continue to drill until its all removed. 7. File it down abit. 8. Give it to your dad who will take it to some people he knows 9. They fill it with a "fake" metal (Its harder than the alu, mix two things together and this super hard artificial metal is created) 10. They drill it. 11. They tap it. In extreme detail, took us 2 hours to get it out, the shop we took it to first snapped 2 drill bits, then gave it back tried some garages none would touch it as it was a mess as you could see. So we used another 6 drill bits and got it out eventually. They then filled, drilled and tapped it, building it up tomorrow.
  16. This is what it looked like And after 2 hours drilling, 8 drill bits and a trip to a shop it looks like this... Not bad is it? Nick

  18. This guy doesnt lie, when he broke his wrist I sold up, and I regretted it, bought a bike back the other week and I agree its alot more fun to be riding. I dont have as much time to ride in winter as its cold and with collge dont finish till 4:15 and weathers abit shitty at the moment. As soon as summers here though the rides will be back on, good weather and late nights. Dont give up you will regret it, I sold my toxsin with kings everywhere, pimped out to the max, havent seen many bikes as pimped to be honest and I miss it, but getting an adamant tomorrow and sorting that out soon enough. Nick
  19. Normally they are but on this as they are part of a large CNC chunk the tube below is solid.
  20. lol if you saw the state of it after the diamond harden drilled has been at work I would like to see you try to helicoil it, its such an odd shape now. Ill post up when its done.
  21. Well my dad and I have had a bash at it, we have half the bolt out. Snapped 2 more drill bits and blunted a 3rd, filing didnt work, chiseling didnt either didnt have a small enough chisel. My dad had the idea of grinding into it creating a small slot to remove the bolt. The way it will be fixed is by using a "fake" metal pouuring it in, it then bonds with the alu and they drill and re tap, would a small slot significantly weaken the mount at all? This is a back up option if drilling really doesnt work.
  22. Wouldnt they only work if it was a hole bolt? its like the threaded part of the bolt and abit of material.
  23. Its the top right magura mount, it isnt a hollow bolt thats just part the sheered off.
