TV coverage of the 2nd round of the world championship held In Igualada In Spain. It was a mega event, held all over the town (very big town/City) of Igualada. It was massive as you will see in the vid with a huge crowds at every section. Interviews and footage from the whole weekend. Really well filmed which makes a change with these sorts of things. Its got clips of myself Adam Morewood and Charlie Rolls (who came 2nd in Benjamin and become world champion) in it too Enjoy [media=]

World Biketrial Championship - Italy Round
Scotty Evil1 replied to biketrialitalia.it's topic in Clubs and Competitions
Really looking forward to this! Last years event and competition was so good, deffinatly one of the best competitons of the year. Really nice venue and great event. This year is going to be tough, but very good and fun I'm sure Heres a video and some pictures from last years competition. -
Really enjoyed that, music didnt really bother me, didnt really notice it to be honest. Riding was nuts! I dont think vince and kenny were so much as slacking I think its more the fact that gilles was just riding so good, a level above the overs. Also kenny had just been In Germany doing some promo for continental and wasnt even sure he was going to attend K124 days I think its going to be a close year between those guys! Its an odd way of doing it, but the numers dont represent each section, they represnt how much of each score each rider got. Example, on Tour 1, Gilles got 4 Cleans, 1 One, 1 two and no three's,four's or five's Took me a while to work it out when they first started using this system

It was goooood pork!

I grew up with the motorcycle scene, So I always associated trials with competitions. Living miles from any riding spot or other riders meant that the only time i got to ride new places or ride with a group of people was at a comp. I think another problem with the UK scene/Clubs is that the clubs just run comps, thats it. If they were to have training sessions, fundraisers, fun days etc It may be a bit better.
-
Went off out a bit of a boring rant there, didnt see the other replies ^^ 10 years ago, a club comp would have 100 + riders, Now there are so many differnt styles in trials, those 100 riders are still about, but maybe only 30 of them ride comps, 20 ride TSG style street, another 20 ride oldskool/proper street. The rest of those riders may not have been that into comps back then but that was where all the riders used to go, all their riding buddys were there. Those riders local scenes may be a lot better now so are able to go ride with a good group of mates somewhere nearby and not have to drive miles to a comp. ( Thats a lot of mumbling, sorry. It makes sense in my head honest)

It would be great if there were, but now there only seems to be really 2 or 3 clubs in the whole of the UK running a club championship. Very sad. EBTC, the very first biketrials club, created by the people who founded the sport in this country doesn't even have a championship this year. Comparing it to motorcycle trials its even more depressing. Recently joined a club, had such a large choice to choose from in the local area, was brilliant! I know there are lots of people who want to help, but sadly it always gets left to same people over and over running the club, observing, helping out etc For very little or no appreciation. Its even worse for those people when someone complains about the trial, the sections, the price etc - Makes it seem pointless. This is a sport for amatures really, people forget that at all levels these people give up there weekends, take days off work and receive no money or expenses, they do it all to support the sport (I know its the same for most sports so I'm not saying trials in unique in this way) People just need to show more support for the clubs, help out more, actually get involved, offer suggestions. This year I will be working with 2 potential new clubs in the South. So there are still people wanting to push the sport, dont loose hope!

He is way too talented! I'm sure It will be a great event as always!

Scott Wilson - Surplus Cinematic Excerpts Of 2011

Cheers guys Appreciate your comments Got it up on vimeo now, so people can have a look at it on there now if they prefer -
Yesterday I had a few hours spare and was bored so made a little video. I'm a bit of a video clip's hoarder, I dont delete anything, especially if it has not been used So got lots of odd's n ends clips from throughout 2011 Only took a couple of hours, basic, bit cheesy editing. Clips are nothing special, hence why they wernt used when they were filmed 5 + months ago,but its come out quite cool and fun. I'm happy with it Most of its filmed at Barrow Farm, few bits from Samphire Hoe and 1 clip from Sweden. ( Also features my new favourite sport at the end) Hope you like it, comments welcome Thanks

Stevie Baia. Cool kid, does a lot of demos now with his brother mainly, does really well at them pretty popular over in canada land, doesnt really do much else now i dont think. Did comps for a few years, but hasnt done any "big" ones for years. Had a nice style. He came over and done the worlds a year or so after his bit in evolve, got beaten by some crap english kid...........

Thank you! Only basic stuff really on the riding side of things, Joe knows how to take some fine pictures! Barrow Farm barn - Perfection! -
Another random video I found, dont think its been posted Giacomo Coustellier on a megamo and Bruno Arnold on one of the Original Koxx bikes Not sure of the exact year, But I think its 2000-2002 There doing stuff I still cant do. Just shows when your good, your good on whatever bike you ride!
-
You'd be surprised. I bet most people on here still couldnt do that stuff, on modern bikes! A lot of those guys are still riding and are still great riders! They would of been better yes, but it was 20 years ago, If it wasnt for them riding those bikes we wouldnt have progressed to this level with these bikes. We need indoor comps like that again, it looks so cool!!

Have you seen the swedish version? I actually think the american version is better They tweaked and changed a bit of the plot but they left in a lot of the little details in which I thought was really good Hopefully they do decide to make the follow up films
