  1. sigh, here we go again...deep breath.....veesarebetterthanmaguraaaaaa! narr seriously, stick with the vees, they work just as well as a magura, are lighter, easier to pull and you won't need heavy adaptors that limit rim clearence
  2. fair play, thats pretty cool! I studied graffic design at college, I would have loved to have one of my designs on a coin!
  3. cheers for the pics Mark! Sorry there wasn't much for you to ride on the bmx, we need to go again with you on your mod or echo. Thanks everyone for the nice comments too!
  4. I used to think those frames are ugly, I generally think curved tubes on 26" looks gash, but blimey, its grown on me!
  5. using the TPA is fine in small doses, but it sounds like your winding it on too much and making the plastic dial come out of the threaded push rod. If you need to do more than a couple of turns, its best to move the cylinders closer to the rim.
  6. well I work at Tartybikes in Preston, so Blackburn is well on the way home lol
  7. cool, we tend to ride after work a lot in places like Burnley and Blackburn, but more local at the weekends (and when the sun stays up in summer)
  8. Yeah, where exactly are you? I don't tend to ride Hebden all that much, but your more than welcome to come for a ride anytime we are out.
  9. Yeah, well worth entering them, I did my first tyke trial comp over 12 years ago!
  10. there's a few here, Myself, Onza Boy Mark, Mat Smith, Little Sam plus a couple of newer riders too. I love to ride Lee Quarry (I helped with getting the trials specific stuff there), but at the moment I am concentrating on street, but once the comps start again no doubt I'll be up there for training.
  11. possibly today! I'll send you a pm hen we set off
  12. Tricky one this, my feeling is that if you have the rear brake on, then that allows you to remove all slack from the chain, when you then put the power down you put the chain from "slack" to "tight" in a fraction of a second, thus putting a lot of force through it. The opposite is brakeless, when you have a constant pressure on the chain, it doesn't have such a quick difference of state, so would be harder to snap. just my 2p worth anyway
  13. stanley knife, some water as lube and bingo! over 200 pairs of pads for 16p each. They do whatever size you want if you ask them though, I recently bought a 10mm thick sheet, so ideal for pads.
  14. what joke? that IS the material.
  15. I like it, looks pretty
  16. these guys can help you (so can Mike)
  17. all well and good, but that stuff doesn't touch paint.
  18. lol, one of the flexiest frames I have had

been meaning to see this for a while, but whenever I remember that fact, the Imax is always sold out.

    My Mate.

sure is a good rider, but his riding seemed like he had got the big book of bmx tricks and ticked them off one by one. there didn't seem to be much personal style going on, but I guess that's kinda the nature of skate park riding.
