  1. My best guess would be one of the zoo lads, the drop at the end of tunnis last video was unreal, and looked like about 16-18 foot. But I'm not very good at judging distances. Matt Tongue did build up a Leeson, but how he got it so light when he was running a BMF rim and Pashley forks, I do not know. I think his frame may have been specially butted to be lighter. Jonny Jones now owns that frame so maybe he could shed some light on it. Rich
  2. I use windows media player (Microsoft Works) on Windows XP, with a few of the DivX Codecs, and it plays fine for me. Have you tried playing it through DivX player? Rich
  3. The lightest 20" was a Monty X-Lite, which weighed in at a little over 17lbs. The lightest stock was a crescent illinois owned by Martin Klievard (sp?) (I think...) and it weighed in at something like 18.9lbs. Have a look on the Biketrials.com archives for more details. The longest you can get is (as has been mentioned) the 05 vinco, although there are others with a similar wheelbase (Koxx XTP must be pretty close). The shortest...is debateable. I owned a 995mm wheelbase leeson, but Tic haydons Echo ES3 measuerd in at a stupid 992mm... Lightest frame? Echo ES4R was 3.2, but I think there were a couple of specialist frames built that were even lighter (the name Capriolo springs to mind...) Rich
  4. I run Clarkes full outers on my avid discs (front and rear) with XTR levers and they feel like a magura water bleed. Really nice. And how much weight are you seriously gonna save using stops (this being the only possible advantage I can see with running them.) Rich
  5. Definately man, get yerself down for some proper natural riding. :) And mapquest is really pissing me off, could have sworn there was an Abingdon in Wiltshire. I'm so crap at geography... Mate it was perfect, and as for being on a buzz, I know what you mean, was probably the second best show I've been to (nothing could beat Bike '98...), I was just glad I got someone with a big name to introduce it to the camera (Martyn Ashton turned me down... (Y) :P ) Cheers for replies people, have got an idea for another big vid, but I'll let people know about that one later. Rich
  6. thats just odd... :P I think my weirdist (sp?) would have to be... Indoor riding 1 and Indoor riding 2 Rich
  7. I think Greg and Luke are interested and possibly Kev,, so should be a good turnout. See you all on sunday. Rich
  8. Cheers guys. You two are idols of mine when it comes to video making and I'm really glad the hard work me, Alex and all the other guys put into this has payed off. (Y) Jonny; you are in the video! You introduced the bikeshow section! :S :P But I know what you mean, the credits was actually one fo the first sections I finished and so there are some riders in there (Tic Hayden) who didn't actually appear in the vid riding, and there are some people who rode but weren't credited (Davetrials). There are also quit a feew spalling nistakes (which ash has kindly pointed out to me already... (Y) ) which I noticed when the vid was uploading, but meh, people liked it so I'm happy. But apologies to anyone who didn't get a mention, you know who you are. Simon; :P Tv.isg.si seems to be having a lot of problems at the moment about bandwidth; whether thats to do with my vid taking up so much space I don't know, but I'm sure account holders will be notified in due time when push comes to shove. If you have MSN you're welcome to add me and I can send the vid to you (karsonlevoret@hotmail.com). Otherwise if someone can suggest an alternative host I'll whack it up again. anyone else having problems with tv.isg.si? looks sadly as though it may go the way of trials-shack... :) :ermm: Cheers for the replies people, the caption competition responses are just making me laugh more and more. Rich
  9. Should be out saturday and Sunday, Steves coming over sunday, don't know about rob, and I've been trying to get in touch with the Trowbridge/Street lot to see if they're interested. Sundays weather looks better but not by much so, meh, come ride. Rich
  10. Have a look at the section about 5 mins into part 2. I'm pretty sure thats the bails/crash section :P. Glad you liked the vid. Rich

    Exeter Ride

Thats because we went there about five years ago! I know I couldn't do any of that kind of stuff that long ago. You defianetly got to come down for a ride sometime fred, Exeter is well worth it. Nice pics whiteboy, liking the ones of Steve mid drop gap. :P Really want to ride Exeter now... Rich

    New Bt Video

Loving the pinkness Felix... :) :P Only watched it without sound as I'm in college, but I'm sure there probably nothing to here anyway. :P And that rail ride to crankflip to the box and then back onto the rail was sick... Rich

    Exeter Ride

Lovely pics Rob, that one of steve preloading looks mint! and that drop gap over the river that steve did is a lot harder when the waters higher! :P You and steve fancy some taunton loving next weekend? :P :) Can't wait for the vid. See you fellas soon. Rich
  14. Is this the video called "Evolution" which has the MOST repetitive song ever? Think I downloaded it about a year ago. 'Tis stil mind blowing though... Rich
  15. LMFAO, best I've seen so far. :D  It was screwing around a bit earlier (only downloading files as HTML documents, whatever the hell that was all about...) but it seems fine now mate, give it another try... :ermm: Rich
  16. I'll be there on the Saturday Chris, will get the entry form off tomorrow. Can't wait, last time was amazing, definately worth the trip for anyone who's not sure. See you on the 17th. Rich
  17. Cheers for the advice fellas. Pads all sorted now. What are peoples views on the IRC Mythos XC? Its just that CRC are currently doing some stupid deals on them and other tyes (7.99 for a Mythos, 11.99 for a wildgripper, etc). Rich
  18. Hey all, I need a new front tyre; my old panaracer has just died of death and I need something to replace it. I'm looking for some thing that isn't gonna fold too much (running at about 22psi on a mavicXC717), but isn't too heavy (so not like michelin). Also, about to get some new pads for an avid BB7, and just wondering if anyone knew of any alternatives to the standard ones avid offer which work any better. Any advice/opinions on either would be muchly appreciated. Cheers Rich
  19. The link to the video is being replaced right now by a differnt version of the same video in plain WMV format. Quality and size are almost exactly the same. :) Rich
  20. Just mapquested it... yep... its Newtown. My bad... :) Isn't there also a place near Newtown called Newton though? I could have sworn that was why I got so damn lost trying to get to Doney's... Carl, first I've heard on the jerky stuff that you're discribing, everyone else seems to have been playing it fine. Have you tried running it though DivX player at all? Otherwise, I'm not sure what could be happening. It should just play in standard Media Player... Cheers for replys people, keep 'em coming. Rich
  21. So will the final trials version be available in singlespeed and WITH disc tabs? Rich
  22. All those discs are are plain Hope rotors which clive can cut out for you. The idea is simple physics: Power = force / surface area. I.e, if there is less surface are, you get more power. Give clive a ring and tell him what you want and he'll sort you out. :) Note: These discs work very well on the rear, but on the front they are a little too much of a hindrence I found. Rich
  23. Wales really is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, I wish there were more vids and pics from there. Nice riding shots mate, keep it up, a vid would be very welcomed. That place looks amazing to ride. Rich
  24. If you can get on MSN at all mate I can send it to you, otherwise as I'm sure you'll find there will be problems trying to download their music. Try and get on MSN for a chat mate and we'll sort it all out. thank you, just...thank you. And the CLS clip doesn't do it justice. I should have done it with sound so as you can hear me, Sam Wheeler and Tom Chilvers screaming ourselves hoarse when he landed it. Was an amazing move, especially since the entire Koxx team plus Ceaser Canas and Ot Pi said than none of them would have done it. Legend. Talcom powder mate, took me and Wheeler nearly three hours to clean it all up... the guy on the kot (Alex Pavlou) is very f**king good, he also edited both the sections of himself (the python and the 26" section) and considering he;s only been riding for a year, just wait and see what he's got in store. 1. Newton is where the doneys live, just north of Bournemouth, and it is called Newton, not newtown. Oh, and yeah, revel for revell was a spelling mistake... 3. Alex's Kot was a 1065 standard model, with which he ran echo pure forks. 4.Expect to see more and better footage of Chris Doney's in the GetDvd. Nicky G got some amazing footage that day. 5. Thank you. Rich
