  1. Wasn't someone supposed to be sorting out the full length version of Matt's BT video. i.e. they had all the footage but it'd been sat around for months and hadn't been put all together... meh
  2. No you shouldn't get it, I'll be incredibly jealous and shove it up your arse. On a lighter note, spoilt c**ts get nice bikes to start on all the time, some people might think you look a bit (read lot) stupid riding Novice on a £1400+ (not sure?) bike falling off a 6" rock.....however that's up to you and I suppose you can always ignore them. XTPs supposedly are built for competition use (I've always read this as "only used once in a while for riding in competitions" but I expect some twatty person will be on soon saying it's for natural only...) so it's obviously not the strongest bike/frame on the market.
  3. Check my other reply further up the page The spec 2 is fairly light, I'd imagine it's about the same as your Saracen if not lighter if it's the standard spec one.
  4. Why would they start a price war with someone for a product that they supply to that shop
  5. For that kind of money you could probably buy all the tools you need to the job anyway... For headset stuff: Hammer and screwdriver to remove the headset Hammer and piece of wood to replace it
  6. Go for it. I'm an inch higher and feel fine on mine, however I'm a little over 11 stone (not a slither of fat on me before anyone says!) and it still sometimes seems a *little* heavy. You'll beef up after 6+ months of riding though so no worries
  7. They're either f**ked, the new ones (05+) or badly set up. 4 pot XTs are the brakes proffesional DH riders use if they don't have any sponsors who produce brakes (i.e. they have free choice)
  8. With those weedy looking seatstays/chainstays? Ah well he knows what he's doing, wouldn't really trust it with a disc in it's current form though.
  9. That's clean cuts at either end of that downtube though, why did he cut it out? Totally f**ked? Looks nice and stiff now too
  10. =replica Just to avoid any confusion. Just out of interest, how many (genuine) Coust frames have been broken on the forum? And in general if you know that as well....
  11. Probably just to keep you quiet :D They really should unleash an interweb ninja on it though, keep up with the other brands and have somewhere we can see all the models without having prices and deals flashed constantly at us :)
  12. What've they been doing for the past 2 years then!?
  13. You need to come to our Cheltenham store, best Bikehut in the area (saleswise...) and everyone, except the fat little woman who has somehow managed to become mananger of Bikehut without ever touching a bike.....ever, who works there is well into mountain biking and knows what they're talking about generally, and now I work there they all understand trials (not that there's a massive riding community here :) ). It's just the general shiteness of Hellfrauds that holds us back... Noone except the "specialist" can do repairs so the rest of us are stuck telling them to go to Leisure Lakes (dickheads) or Williams (excellent guys just not really clued up on performance stuff) unless it's a puncture repair or something quick/simple. If anyone gets the chance to work in a Bikehut that's upstairs from the rest of the store, or generally out of view and the guys there aren't tossers go for it, it has to be the biggest doss job in retail. £4.85 an hour at 16 to do pretty much bugger all for 10 hours a week with good mates jus having a laugh.
  14. There's a couple of trials vids on that site. Some fair good riding going down and pretty original too :) I'd love on of their G-Boxx freeride bikes :)
  15. And the website's on every one of their bikes :) The supercycles sites isn't so bad but the Onza one is just shocking, more so because most of it is just so old/outdated/confusing than just being crap.
  16. If the bodge thing isn't working it's probably time for a new crank arm. If you're short on cash try ringing whereever you bought it from (or tartybikes if they stock them/it) and ask if you can buy just the left hand crank to save yourself a bit of dosh, especially as it's the non-drive side.
  17. I've got the old XT four pots on my FR bike and they are absolutely brilliant.........for freeride. I'm not really sure about trials use though, I've seen rebadged SRAM ones on trials bikes before and I suppose they do have quite alot of lock. If you get it definitely opt for the 203mm rotor if it's not goin to cost you too much more, 160's a bit "XC". Don't even bother with the new ones, and I mean for any discipline :)
  18. Under the car :) They'd just have to hope the driver doesn't just pull off anyway though :)
  19. Now you're thinking like a roadie... (Y) Plus just because it's light doesn't mean you can't drill them? I'm fairly sure they don't drill them because they don't require the massive width we do to stop tyre-roll etc so their rims are built as thin as possible meaning drilling will seriously f**k up the strength...I guess
  20. Rims = carbon (Y) Not sure about the bashguard though :)
  21. I think we get paid twice in December as they can't pay us after new year or something (Y) Or at least that's the impression I got from the meeting we had in our store. Not sure when though... Oh and in case anyone was thinking of it, any days we miss get taken off our next pay package (Y)
