4-500 squids? Maybe less if condition is less than desireable

The power of a disc brake is dependant on the ratio between the lever and caliper piston. The smaller the piston in the lever or larger the piston in the caliper the more powerful the brake (equation for pressure = force X area). However the higher this ratio the more fluid the lever piston must displace to cause movement of the caliper piston The holes are primarily for heat dissapation, cleaning crap/water off the pads and weight loss. They do not specifically improve the braking performance of a disc. Where are they sharp? A decent disc should have been ground properly and have no sharp edges making contact with the pads, although if you run your finger on one of the holes (not recomended, oils from your skin can affect brake performance) it is a very square edge and it may be possible to cut yourself on it.

It's not opinion Wayne it's the science of physics mate! To try and explain it: If they're on the same gearing then no that's pretty much impossible. No matter what length the cranks are if the gearing is the same it will still take the same number of crank revolutions to turn the wheel the same number of times, thus meaning the bike will still travel the same distance. The only possible difference is that with the longer cranks more force is put through and due to friction limitations the wheel spins meaning the longer cranks will require more revolutions to cover a similar distance. BACK to the actual point: In theory longer cranks will give you more power but will require you to move your legs further in order to acquire the same amount of rotations although this may not matter in trials as it's that burst of speed you need to give you the power in gaps, hence giving people with longer cranks better gapping/staticing ability

Hey everyone, been searching for somewhere to get the old classic Cannon Fodder for Windows. The only downloads I can find need to be run with MS-DOS and simply don't work with my XP. Does anyone know where I can get a version for XP or how I can run an MS-DOS one in XP?

I Dont Understand What Companies Want From Riders Nowadays?
Shaun H replied to Davetrials's topic in Trials Chat
Well look at Cap, I'm sure at least half (probably more) of the stuff on his bike isn't even *available* at Trials-UK yet he's still sponsored by Ko Ko. I'd just like to add before any bitching I consider this one rider who *does* deserve to be sponsored, mad taps -

My Dad's mate used to be a tyre fitter, he could do car tyres pretty much with his hands. This was around the time he was a body builder too though, he could grab to beams from *underneath* then do pull/chin ups gripping with just the tips of his fingers -
I Dont Understand What Companies Want From Riders Nowadays?

What people sometimes don't seem to realise is that companies don't base sponsorship *soley* on riding ability. It's no good sponsoring the best rider in the world if he's never going to compete or release any videos, much better to sponsor a lesser rider who will do one or more of these things so the company does actually get promotion. -
You'll Never Guess What Happened To Me Today
Shaun H replied to David20's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
That's nothing, in the summer me and a few mates were playing football in one of the grassy areas/parks in Cheltenham centre, a 3 legged dog runs up to our stuff and pisses all over my mate's top end AGV motorbike helmet, another's CDs and food! One of us went to kick the f**ker and it ran off still pissing... Owners did *nothing*, and they watched all of this. f**king hate ignorant pricks like that -
Gutted. Edit: I thought that video wasn't too bad, the quality was as if it was off a phone but the riding was ok. How long's he been riding?
-
Yeah his front wheel was totally demolished, the bang you hear is the inner toob exploding

1. Wrong section 2. The activity you are advertising is illegal to the max so this thread will soon be closed

WHAT are you talking about? He was fine but didn't attempt it again although I recall him wanting to. Can't remember wether it was because he didn't have a spare bike (that one was obviously rather f**ked after...) or that the doctors wouldn't allow him.
-
oh my god he actually fell off for once....TWICE! perhaps he is "normal" then Minta vid, really impressive riding. Probably carried the editing/camerawork a bit but ah well, still enjoyed it.

I've been watchin this too. Was really interesting to see how cancer spread all through the body. Much hilarious converse was shared with Ko Ko whilst it was on the other night R.E. my sig...

It's a woman? Well that explains alot. Ooooooooooh I'm controversial.......

Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooring That seems like it was filmed like an art student, extremely annoying. The rider was very skilled though, although none of what he did seemed huge (mostly the camera angles I reckon, I thought some of the gaps looked large but you couldn't tell cos the camera guy was so retarded...) he did it extremely smooth and controled. Bored off my socks now........

Looks ok to me except the "WCS" bit which isn't really 100% legible. At first I though it said WAS

Not exactly the sort of thing you want to put into google really It might mean female castration (removing the clitoris) I'm not sure.

"I think you're ugly so I'm not giving you this job." *sued* I've never heard of any cycle companies being sued but I'd be surprised if it hasn't happened before. Things like headtubes falling off then someone with full helmet protection etc breaking their leg or something, that'd be a viable case and it's likely they'd win something like that.

I'll try and get there with Dan Ko if work'll let me take the day off (paid too! ). Hopefully this time the loser won't snap his axle....

Yep, well it's an American company that makes them. And the nationality of the engine is hardly relevant, most cars nowadays have parts in them from all over the world. The important thing really is the fact that it's American designed and is a supercar. May as well throw in a question - Seeing as you've seen videos of many popular riding locations, anywhere in particular you'd like to go for a massive group orgy ride?

Saleen S7 When/If you come to the UK, which riders are you particularily looking forward to filming?
