  1. Mean Machine. Gotta be a 9/10, mad film.
  2. The only thing that justifies these types of rides are the ones where you go out and totally nail everything, set some new records, and generally feel really good about yourself. They both happen, and make the most of it when you do have a particularly good day
  3. Some dude'll be walking there dog tomorrow with there head down, then manage to face plant into the side of the box All looks pretty crazy, perhaps get a vid of you on it?
  4. Alex! You're not sponsered! But yeh, I love using boosters as they give a much stiffer feel, everything tends to flex without one.
  5. I've still got the old ones, still going strong. They seem very efficient, but as has been said, the TPAs tend to die, and the standard Magura bolts (even with the new maggies) will always round off So whatever you get, if I was you I would buy some decent bolts from elsewhere that fit, and bolts rounding off should not be an issue.
  6. I'm not entirely sure myself as to what sponsorship is from companies like this. Maybe a free t-shirt and some stickers?
  7. Simply The Bike is a shop down here in Torquay, they have a very small section specifically for trials, and know for a fact they haven't sponsered Alex.
  8. I understand how you feel about not wanting to grind them, but if you get it done by someone experienced, it will give you the best performance, and hence allow you to progress faster. Looks better than covering the rim in tar aswell
  9. Yo Alex, it's James. (Dan's bro). Where is this gap? I'll come with you, give you some encouragement Remember your signature, "If an object doesn't scare you don't ride it", so ride it! BTW, you're not sponsered...
  10. An amazing way of getting tar off your rim (the top of it, you know when you put it on and miss), T-Cut works a charm, doesn't wreck the paint work or anything.
  11. True, but I imagine where you live has a lot to do with it.

    Which Rim?

Yeh they will definately fit I've got a mate with the Try-All, and someone with the Echo. The Echo seems to be the best option, although the join on it seems to be widening slightly(8 months of average riding). Obviously these things happen with all the pressure though, so it has to be expected at some point.
  13. I've gotta get mine replaced aswell, I'm just making my own cardboard box to whack the whole wheel in, (as the hub doesn't particularly need to be on its own). Could ask your LBS to send it off, as they can get it alot cheaper (That's if you haven't sent it off already!). £12 for postage (Torquay) from LBS, and £30 for the job.
  14. I agree with the majority with Inur, just pretty cool to watch
  15. Mine's probably about 5ft 10". I just can't seem to get higher anymore because, as some people have mentioned earlier in the thread, I get to the edge and just bottle it. When i'm on top of the drop it just looks scary now, even though I have done it before. I seem to be degressing. Probably just need to ride more...

    Lara Croft

Oh yeh, the good ol' days of Tomb Raider. Remember Rayman, with the flying fist? started playing it again not long ago. And the very first Crash Bandicoot XD
  17. I haven't gashed my shin in a good year now. Saying that I probably will today But nah, if it happens I just put up with it. It's pretty rare anyway.
  18. Hi, there's a prgram called 'Audacity' you can download, which allows you to totally edit any song/sound, changing speed, pitch, e.t.c. I was wondering if there was any way (using any other prgram) which allows you to split the vocals from the backing at all? As I want to use this program (just playing around) to change the pitch of the vocals, and keep everything else the same pitch. So does anyone know of any other program where I can split songs into different layers? Cheers
  19. I can't really recommend any, but I can say that Koxx Bloxx Red Pads are terrible with any grind it seems, and in wet they will not work. There seems to be no bite whatsoever.

    What Grips?

I've been using ODI Ruffian Lock on grips for about a year and a half now, I'm on the second set and they have barely worn down yet, they're thin, very grippy (even in the wet) and are very comfy to ride with. They even have flange now for exrta comfort
  21. Ptch, I only got to the last bit of level 6. Just as you think you're doing well you loose all your lives in one go.
  22. I've had a bowl of Honey Nut Corn Flakes™, two pate sandwiches, a packet of Sainbury's 'Be Good To Yourself' cheese and chive hoops, a mini pasty Apple, Banana and burger chips and beans for tea. Mmmmm.
  23. Didn't know you were meant to wear a helmet on your arse I've had the usual cuts on my shins because of the pedals, and i've often gotten a bad neck/back for a few days.
