  1. Does look sweet there dude. Did the labelling of pads bring a smile to your face? Expecting a video as well now though, show off your machine in action.
  2. Unlucky mate, i really feel for you. If you have witnesses though and everythings been taken as a statement i can't see why they'd be keeping you effectively under arrest. how fast where you going though to break his leg and fracture his skull? Is your previous driving mis-demeanor with your ex-girlriends car any part in the harsh punishments of this accident?
  3. I'd definately agree with that. Even the touchscreen on the viewty is suseptible to mis-reads (you press your finger/pen and it doesn't register, and the same goes for the p900 and iPhone etc). I think it might be a while untill touchscreens can be used without draining excessive power levels and sometimes being unpredictable.
  4. Its easy enough to fit your own spare, steves got a pretty damn good guide on the heatsinkbikes website about how to remove material from backings then you can glue it back in with an epoxy resin (araldite is good). Due to the nature of trials its sometimes common for the backings to fail and i've seen original magura backings fail in the same snap-happy way before. It doesn't mean the backings are weak, but sometimes just slightly too much force is put on them or the backing itself is slightly weaker than others from the same batch (unfortunately its ecxeptionally hard to establish which is at fault). Best bet is to ring/email tartybikes as has been said and they'll let you know about the different options you may or may not have.
  5. yes, the first thing i noticed when i played with my friends n95 is that its just so damn slow and clunky. Comparable to trying to operate a computer quickly, in a dark room, wearing sunglasses and a pair of boxing gloves. My housemate just got a new phone though an LG viewty and its really impressive. The menus are easy to use and its touchscreen so the buttons are nice and big. It also has a neat little pen and an amazing shooting game on it. Menus seem responsive, slighty faster than my k800i and the internet is good on it too. Massive screen for movies as well. Speaking of internet, he's just got it with o2 and they've given him a contract that includes completely free internet with no limits.
  6. Have you tried things like fitting a smaller stem or maybe a lighter front wheel? Its all very well people telling you to do some excercises but the effects can take longer or shorter depending on how your body reacts to it. Where as fitting the new parts if you have the funds to do so would be a quicker solution, allowing you to carry on riding.
  7. Isn't that the idea? I thought he was purposefully coming up far too low to show that the brake continued to hold despite being past the point where other brakes would slip. The rock riding wasn't very good though.
  8. He he, no more stupid comments.

  9. Very nice, i absolutely loved it. Just the sort of riding i'd like to see myself doing... if only i had the balls to do it. All the cool people have the surname Jacques though, not Jaques One to keep an eye on anyway.
  10. Made some changes to the pads page, its now easier to read the text and its all been sectioned off a bit neater. That seem better for everyone? (still suck at web-design )
  11. Thats why i said there isn't any difference, aside from the discs. The difference in image quality is negligable, they're both HD, they just go about it in different coding ways.
  12. What are the other functions? You need to either split cosec2x into seperate parts by proving that its made up of something else. like saying 2x+y=3 and as a seperate rule you know y=x2 so you substitue that in instead of y. You could also bring the cot over and divide cosec by cot, then follow it through splitting it up into sin/cos/tan and finding where it is on the corresponding graph maybe? Been a while since i did maths at this level
  13. There isn't just that they use different discs. So up until now they've both needed different disc drives, meaning a ps3 won't play hd dvd and an xbox won't play blue ray. The way to tell the difference is the big fat name on the top of the box I'm glad blue ray won, we have about 15 of them downstairs. As well as the fancy expensive blue ray player
  14. As boumsong said, the performance has been great with them and they don't need as harsh a grind as other pads of similar performance, they work on a light grind all the way up until its practically smooth with next to no loss of performance, which means rim life is lengthened. The actual material itself is cut by hand meaning the only difference is they might not be as aesthetically pleasing as other moulded pads, but the cost of the moulding doesn't go into the price of production meaning we can sell them for cheaper, which is something we wanted to aim for from the start.... we know that paying £18 for brake pads never seems to go down well and with a large proportion of the market being 13-17 year olds £18 is a lot of money to gather for just a set of brake pads.
  15. Ha ha, no WAY am i going to be a rider on the site , i suck. I'll put on the odd picture every now and again but you won't catch me on there as a rider.
  16. We've got a few people in mind at the minute, but nothings been finalised as of yet. We're gonna sit down and have a chat about it tomorrow. Unfortunately we can't give everyone tester pads or "sponsorship", so at the minute emails and messages are having to be declined. I'm sorry if the answer isn't instant, theres been a few emails sent to various places and i'm just catching up with them all.
  17. 95a is a pretty hard compound grade, and would be most similar to koxx browns. The exact formula for the compound varies depending on what quantities of ingredients go into making the material. This is why pads of the same shore rating vary in performance. We havn't specified a 95a compound at the minute, but will be looking to sort one in the future as an alternative for those wanting to use more than just a light grind.
  18. Seems pretty good, i'd say they're lasting me about the same as my last set of plazzies did.
  19. And they sound so nice in my cnc backings its unreal
  20. Cheers si, was hoping you'd post, although that seems pretty mild compared to how i remember you always used to comment. Will bear it all into consideration mate, and will be making the few changes tonight hopefully. I've had an offer for the site to be done by a friend who's pretty nifty at it himself though... so it may change again in the near future.
  21. Yeah, unfortunately the compound from that supplier turned out to be about as good as jt's pads he made last april (he used cheese for those that didn't see). We've since switched to a different supplier who are a lot more willing to try new compounds with us and fortunately have gotten onto a really good one. Thanks, hopefully it will take off alright, though fwew business ventures ever do (disneyland anyone ) Pads will be available for the cnc crowd, pre cut ready to stick in. Whilst we've not yet confirmed a price between us for those ones, we're thinking its going to be around the £8 mark, although like i said this isn't definate. The price will be confirmed within the next day or so.
  22. Cheers guys, just gotta get some more info up on the site and make a little demo video of the pads in action for people to make up their own minds. People that have seen them and tried them in the flesh though have been very impressed. Callum, with regards to the performance, they work very similarly to plazzies indeed, only they don't completely die in the wet which is a bonus. They seem to be working on a ridiculously dead grind on my bike at the minute and i've been very impressed with them so far, as have a lot of other people. We are looking to make a range of pads ben, all at really competitive prices as we know first hand that brake pads can be expensive. With a few different compounds as people all expect different things from their brakes and set them up differently. Cheers jon... i suckzorz at web designz Yep thats the reason, we were lokoing to have a gruesome image as a logo and the idea of the axe and blood should be one that people can remember. So neco fits very well with that idea. Unfortunately we're using it slightly out of context, as far as i'm aware if you were to say something like neco draconus (dunno the name for dragon) it would mean i slay dragons.
  23. Yes, it should indeed be showing up as algerian... might have to make the menu links picture buttons then. Cheers mate. Hopefully not, i did look for a brand called NECO but all i could find was another site about cougars, with that in mind NECOpads should be pretty different and not infringing on anything. Its a latin word anyway, not a made up name, so thats like saying i can't use the term "airpads" or something. Ha ha, little bit morbid
  24. For a short time, we have the first stocks of the new pads available. Designed for light grinds these pads offer both bite and hold at bargain prices. www.necopads.co.uk More info to be up soon.
