Got a ps2 that i would like to hook up to one of my monitors (i run 2x19s), however i am a little confused as to what i need to do this. There is no direct lead that goes straight to vga or dvi. There are seemingly 3 options: Phono to usb adaptor, however i dont understand what i would then need to view the playstation via my computer. They go for about £8 onwards on ebay Tv card with phono input (apparently can lead to lag issues from a little research but thats with older pcs from what i gathered) these go for £10-15 onwards on ebay XGA box. These go from about £25 on ebay I have a dell xps, quad core with 4gb ram and a 512mb graphics card, so i would assume that it would cope with having a tv card and a ps2 connected to that? Its not like it struggles with anything else anyway. Tv card seems my favourite option right now as itd be nice to have a tv too! Any help would be great

Frame Building Thread-Bike Resurrection!
CurtisRider replied to CurtisRider's topic in Bike Pictures
After quite some time of not riding, i have dusted off the 24 ready for me to start again Fingers crossed the frame keeps going... Changed the bash for a DMR one i had kicking about, and have now swapped my 90x10 RF Prodigy stem for a 110x15 generic one that pushes the bars up to just the right height (i dont overly trust that stem as its many years old so i have a new FSA one coming along soon along with a new headset as this ones a bit far gone). Hoping to have some new levers soon, although the front brake may get lost and the forks may change in favour of some pashley ones i have in my room. I have owned the jurys 10 years now, i can't believe they are still going! -
Not seen these bad boys in action then?

Advice Needed On Bars, Headset And Brake Levers
CurtisRider replied to CurtisRider's topic in Trials Chat
Thanks for the help guys i used to use xtr and ultimates so i am fairly used to nice levers! Maybe i will save for some secodhand xtrs then Skoze, how much do you want for the bars? -
I have brought my trials bike back to uni after not riding for quite some time, and apart from being uber rusty at it, my bike also needs some fettling. If people remember it, its the frame i built in about an evening out of recycled tubing from other frames... Now, as you can see it has a pretty high bb rise, and so a high front end is needed to compensate. Even with the stackers, the bars are still a touch low for me (i used to run 2.5 double walls which were about right). What bars would you lot recomend? Ideally to fit a standard 25.4mm stem as i cant really afford to be buying a new stem as well and i quite like my RF one. I would like them to be of a similar feel to the azonics as they were incredibly comfy! i guess 2.5-3inch rise would be good. My brake levers are just generic cheap things and not overly comfortable. would these avid ones be ok? My headset is beyond its best and could do with replacement, within reason a headset is a headset they are much the same and so with that thinking FSA vs M-Part seem to be cheap and good ones? I think thats all i will need for now, the rest seems pretty solid Thanks in advance for any help! EDIT: Oh and budget, cheaper the better really, not fussed about being pimp or super light weight these days (as you can tell by the steel frame, forks and 3 piece cranks...)

The bumpers on the e36 are dead easy to remove, like a 5 min job....
-
Have you tried making you own? I cant remember what they look like from memory, but if they are what i think they are, then a quick bit of plier work with some thick wire would hole them fine
-
Why wont you try the dealer? Not everything has a massive pricetag on it. If you can wait until next week, i will be back home and i have a 316 i am breaking, can see if i have the clips still

Seeing as ipod compatible headunits are so cheap these days...why bother? By the time you factor in the cost of an amp, the wiring kit to power it, that bluetooth thing and the hassle of installing it vs buying a headunit and just plugging it in you may as well just do that? Answering your question, just get a cheapy amp off ebay, plenty to be had for 10-15quid thatll power a few small speakers fine you can run a phono to jack lead so your ipod will play straight into the amp. Those alpines wont be overly great, only a minor upgrade over standard car speakers and will struggle if they are being relied on as your mains and enjoy music turned up more than a normal person.

The needle on my mini moto has 4 possible positions for the needle via a circlip, so its possible you have moved the position of the circlip and the needle is too high?
-
i used it on my car, interior and exterior: Very easy to work with and will form round most shapes fairly well takes a little getting used to for stretching round stuff with complex shapes but it is easily reformed with some heat bike part wise i cant see there being many applications where itll look good as seam lines will be viewable perhaps on a plastic seat or a top cap, wherever you wont see an edge

Yup, also if you have a spray gun you can mix laquer with paint to do the same thing
-
That, it comes in a few colours
