  6. On the indetity tuning forks (near identical to pashleys in appearance), they extended the disc mount so spread the stress. I had both versions, shorter mount ones cracked like yours, longer mount kept going
  7. After living in Nottingham for just 1 term, i really really wish i was back in the countryside. Its not like Nottinghams the worst city ever, but the people just look miserable and i can't help but feel tense wherever i go but maybe that will change as i get more and more used to it. Nearly 24years in good old suffolk, surrounded by simpletons is where its at for me
  8. Private halls, here they are far nicer than the uni ones and cheaper to boot look into if you qualify for a grant, if so most unis give you a bursary too which all helps a huge amount
  9. Other than the fact i wanted the ability to ride in wet conditions with a decent brake, i would definately run a smooth rim. The hold and modulation you get is so much better, although the brake is more affected by any foreign surface material and requires cleaning relatively regularly

If you think its linkage related, have 1 person in the car, and another person at the engine bay to clarify the clutch arm moves and the selector are moving. The selectors on those are just ball joints that pop on and off, so it will be pretty obvious. To be honest, if he can fit a clutch himself, surely he can figure all that out himself
