Not going for mATX anymore, changed my mind and keeping my Lian Li PC-65 case. I've got a core 2 duo 3.2ghz, those 2 8800GT's, and 4GB Corsair TwinX XMS2 ram. I don't want to spend too much on a mobo, could stretch up to 100 pounds though - are there any ones you'd recommend under that price range? I saved quite a bit of money by shopping at Scan and ebay so thought why not go for SLi...if it supports games like Call of Duty 4 and Crysis then im happy.

Just found this graphics card cheap on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...N:IT&ih=014 so ordered 2 of them... hopefully i'll be able to get SLi working... also ordered a core 2 duo and 4gb corsair ram from scan.co.uk... so just need motherboard now hope i did make a huge mistake ordering those graphics cards, they are just so cheap compared to scan and ebuyer.

So you think I should get a better motherboard? I can't really find any that are 'better' but then I don't really know what to look for, the next ones up seem to have pretty much the same features, some with triple SLI and stuff like that I don't need. For gaming I basically want to play the latest games, crysis, call of duty 4 etc. The 8800GT should be OK for this? I will probably get another in a few months or may just end up ordering 2 for this build - is it worth it? If anyone could recommend me a better mobo thatd be good, or a better graphics card if you think there are any in a similar price range. I've read reviews saying the GT is way better than the GTS and now only a tiny bit more expensive. Also - found a quad core 2.6ghz for around the same price as the dual 3.2ghz. What do you think would be more effective? I'm guessing the dual.

Aren't motherboards generally cheaper than graphics cards anyway? That mobo seems to have everything I need, and the gpu seems a good price for what you get, i might get another and SLI them in the future... I'll probably keep looking at components till the weekend and then order... any other problems with the stuff in that list? Also should the processor fan supplied be sufficient? Think ill replace my case fans aswell...can anyone recommend some quiet fans?

Whats wrong with tagan? I thought they were some of the best power supplys... Thanks I think i'll go with Nvidea. Am i right in thinking that SLI is Nvidea, and Xfire is ATI's version of the same thing? So a SLI motherboard will support 2 nvidea cards, but not ATI? Also my power supply has a big fan on the bottom, instead of on the back, and in my case the PSU fits at the top (my old psu had a fan at the back so it came out of the case). But how will i set this one up in my case? Just have the fan facing my components inside the case? Cheers

Yeah my screen is a samsung TV, 1680x1050 max res. Decided i'm gonna keep my current case now so I just need a normal ATX motherboard. Also bought a tagan power supply (1300W) from a friend so im sorted to build a beasty PC. Can anyone recommend a good motherboard? I want 2 pci-e (sli) slots, and preferably good sound (optical port if possible). And also a good graphics card to run SLI - im thinking the ATI radeon x1950 pro would be good. Then i just need RAM, i guess ill just get corsair extra value 4gb, Cheers.

This happened to my brother aswell when he sold his phone. I think they do it on certain products and i think its stupid aswell, I think the normal way works fine with them paying you, then you sending item, and if they don't recieve it they can contact paypal and they'll chase you up.

Hi guys, My pc is on the brink so i'm in desperate need of a new one, and i'd like to build one myself, but don't know too much about what to buy, what is compatible etc. I want a micro ATX PC so its a little smaller - but is it more hassle to build? I want something fast, capable of playing games like Call of Duty 4 very well and i'm willing to spend up to around 450 pounds. Something like a dual core 2.6ghz+ processor, 4gb ram, a good graphics card, etc. I already have a hard drive and dvd drive so dont need them. And i'll have to buy vista 64 bit aswell to use the ram i want. I've been looking on ebuyer but wondering what other shops are good for buying components? Also, i want a nice case (one of the cube ones that sits on the desk) and a mATX motherboard, or just a smaller normal case. And it needs to be very quiet as my old PC was annoyingly loud. Any help would be appreciated

I'm well into weight training at the moment, been doing it for around 9 months and got a lot stronger. What i'm doing at the mo: Monday - Upper body (mainly chest) Bench Press (chest, shoulders, tricep) - Warmup sets, then 4x6 heavy, then sometimes rep out on a lighter weight (15 reps or more), Dumbell Flys (chest) - Warmup, then 3x8, Wide pull ups, with weight plates strapped on (lats, bicep) - 3x8. started out just doing pullups without a weight, now progressed to using 20kg plates, Tricep Dips (on cable), or nose breakers, Bicep Preacher curls Tuesday - Lower Body Squats (mainly hamstrings, quads, lower back) - Warmup then 4x6, Front Squat (mainly quads and hips) - Warmup then 3x8, Side pulls, with cable (obliques) - 3x8, Sit ups with weight, or on a ball. Thursday - Upper Body (mainly shoulders) Military Press (mainly front deltoid) - Warmup then 3x6 heavy, Dumbell Shoulder Press - 2x6, Lateral Raises (side deltoid) - 3x8, Narrow Pullups with weight (bicep, lats) - 3x8 Then possible some bicep and tricep isolation if you have energy left, Friday - Lower body Deadlift - Warmup then 4x6. At the moment with deadlifts though, im doing 3 sets with hand straps (to help your grip). My grip strength was the main problem with my deadlifts so i use straps for 3 sets, then no straps for 2 or 3 sets, then you can use all the muscles), Sometimes do front squat 3x6 heavy, or overhead squats (awesome exercise) 4x6, Split Squat - 3x8, Some other ab exercises. Make sure you got a big exercise in every session (in mine, bench, squat, overhead press, deadlift) - the bench, squat and deadlift are essential and usually done first before any other exercise. Go for intensity so you should be struggling but try to choose a weight where you can just finish your sets, or almost finish (miss a few reps maybe), and use a spotter. don't worry too much about isolations, or sit ups, or anything like that because they quite frankly do nothing.

I need a new BB for my DH bike - its a giant acid team series. Im after a new BB as i crushed the bearings, at the mo theres a truvativ howitzer XR external bearing BB. I'm not sure what size BB i need. The distance between the inside of the cups is 72mm, and ive measured the length of the axle as about 135mm - which seems stupidly long? Anyone know what kind of BB i need? the howitzer: cheers

Formatting is piss easy, much easier than buying a new hard drive just backup anything you want to CD/DVD and put your windows cd in on startup and follow instructions basically, and then reinstall your hardware drivers.
