  1. The latest Yaabaa 499 is a completely different spec to the older version (it's now MUCH better). I also believe the older 499s have been discontinued. Thanks Adam
  2. 10.46kg full bike, frame 1.631kg
  3. At last, someone posting a real weight for their bike! Looks sweet though, really good balance of weight and performance! Swap the pedals (whats the weight of the DXs?) and rim tapes (clear packing tape - 2 layers, 5g each instead of about 40g for 'normal' ones) and brake pads (heavy!) to get it under 9.5? Ads
  4. I think they are in here somewhere: http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/showthrea...ght=onza+frames
  5. Push a pen against your finger - larger area, less pressure. Push a needle against your finger - smaller area, more pressure. (Bit more to it than that, but that's the basics )
  6. Yeh, I imagine a 16 to 14mm sleeve and then a normal HS33 piston would work
  7. 16mm means less leverage and ultimately less braking power...
  8. I've got one a black of those somewhere, really nice quality, very light, but 16mm piston.
  9. What a good thread... Would probably send an ENO also (reliable drive), up-to-date frame (something like an Ozonys) so it rode well, aaannddd... some decent HS33 pads like Rock Blue with grinding instructions hehe Nice one
  10. Cheers! Every other side knobble has gone... saves about 50g a tyre and they reckon it grips better too (don't forget the tyres are designed for downhill = moving grip, not static grip like trials).
  11. Cheeyoz Phillipe. You do indeed, catch you on MSN about this week... Haha, the tallest tripod in the world maybe?
  12. Cheers man. You can set the flash to fire at the start of the end of the exposure - at the end cuts down on dodgy light reflections (ie. street lights, check the Blackburn pics of me from the other night) on long exposures
  13. More pics! Cheers for coming out lads, was a good ride Phil sidehop to rear Jonny sidehop Stan tricky tap Stan up to front to swap Jonny TGSing () down to the floor Stan sidehop Phil tweaked bunnyhop down steps Stan rolling gap And in big version: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/media/liverpool3-2-8/stangap.jpg Stan endo to over Phil tap Stan sidehop to rear (flash at end of shutter curtain - cheers TRA!) Cheers Steve, Frenchie gaps for the win :)
  17. Didn't realise there was so much call for them... will get some in Black or Orange, 36h only by the way...
  18. Still not sure, tempted by the Glen of Shipley... will post if we're heading Morecambe way
  19. More than powerful enough - if you do the calculations, a 160mm brake on a 20" works out the same leverage as a 208mm on a stock You can see it's decent in my vid also... however that was before the brake had re-bedded in to the new setup, it's quite a bit better now.
  20. It's actually pretty small, nearly overshot it first go Shat my pants, haha Haha, oh yes, I'm so sexy lol Yeah, I really like them both actually, light and non-restrictive, and then the mesh helps to keep you warm/wick away sweat too Sidehopping to rear wheel on the rail with a bit of a turn in the air Cheers Ads
  21. Which one? You can have a closeup if you like
  22. Fixie bikes usually use screw on sprockets and they encounter a lot of issue with sprockets unscrewing themselves while braking, threads stripping... This seems like a pretty cheap and effective solution to that!
  23. So you can go bigger for the same effort (something we'd all like surely?!), so you get tired less quickly. You can save 100g on a headset, that's a lot for such a small component!
