  1. they gave me a new one for free every time ( i even had a gold-glitter one, one of three if i remember correct) - but hey this bike is nothing but awesome in terms of bunnyhopping and riding with a little speed through the city - dont forget to put gears on it! edit: i even had the same bars!
  2. funny geo, i broke about five of them - driveside chainstay...
  3. Dear ComicBookGuy! Thank you very very much for your effort - i really appreciate that! But would you please make Episode 2 downloadable? my PC isn´t capable of running it on vimeo, but downloading and then watching works perfect (it did at episode 1).
  4. Back in the day i used tons of Vans Skate High, but the sole wasn´t stiff enough... Then the Montys were great, but wore down very quickly especially for the price... Now I´m on Shimano freeride shoes, which have a super stiff sole - nothing but great; downside: pattern on the sole is away very fast... how stiff are the 5 - 10? and how long do they last compared to Monty/Ribo etc I´m about 85 kg btw
  5. Voted, not a fan of the chain-idea; with a belt drive that works - hey hey, but for a chain i dont see the need...
  6. wow - now that´s really interesting! lighter but stronger - also concerning duarbility!? if just the whole trials-world would be like that... i rode a set of MG1s with cromoly axels for about 2 or 3 years, now a beginner rides them, still going strong, so maybe i really shouldn´t think too much about it...
  7. Hello! Has anyone snapped his ti-axles at the more and more popular getting MG1 ti Pedals? If so, how long have you been running them, whats your weight, how much do you ride and what´s your riding style? or How long have yours been flawless so far? als with age of pedals/weight/riding frequency/riding style please! I´ve been riding mine since about a 3/4 year and have just started thinking... I weigh a little over 80 kg, ride at a quite high level, but avoid things like big drops, big drop gaps etc - apart from that i hit it with "big moves at my level" about 4 times a week for a few hours... cheers w.
  8. @ all: thank you very much for the comments and opinions so far! I´m still not sure about replacing, but maybe this should be reason enough to do so... anyone else has something to tell about it? @ AliC: i always enjoy your naked truth answeres and opinions.
  9. Hello! I´m always scared of braking parts especially chains and bars, so i replace them often - chains every two months (when i was younger and a bit more chuck norris i ran them until they broke which was never longer than three or four months), bars every year. So, I have ridden my TrialTech bars for a year now. Usually it would be time for me to replace it with a new one - did it with all deng bars, TryAlls etc (never broke one of those, but i broke 25,4 mm ones quite a few years ago), but the TTs are very well trusted by the community (and me) - so is only the marketing machine running well or are they really of a higher quality than others? My weight is 90 kg, bars are cut to 72 cm, i ride about 4 times a week (nothing too hardcore, but on a high level)... So i would like to know who has already broken a TrialTech bar, how long did it last, what riding was done with it, how often a week and the weight of the rider... And how long are you guys already running yours, als including riding style, weight... Cheers from Austria w.
  10. nothing but awesome!

  12. what you are really looking for is a Rohloff Revolver - a chain tool which which forms the pin after its pulled through... expensive, but very functional
  13. thank you so much for the review - i have been waiting for something like this! one further question: was that czar the long version? do you miss the 385 cs for gaps, sidehops in terms of leverage?

How does the bike feel? the 73 ha and the tensioning system makes it very interesting - how does both work for you? does it feel very long? - i mean 1090 with 73 ha is something else than 1090 with a 71,5 ha how stiff is it? i´m thinking of buying one, i´m on a cannibal right now. i think you rode one - if you did - how do they compare?
  16. I´m running a Louise FR 180 (used with a Shimano-lever this brake gives a very good performance) and may change it to a hope trial someday - both are available with 180 calipers.
  17. i never felt the need of a rotor larger than 180... and i wouldn´t want to change to a (for me) senseless 200 rotor...
  18. i even rode Thomas' - but i didn´t realise the +20 disc mount... for what reason did you make them? this would mean to change my brake , if i want to run them...
  19. awesome looking bike! what fork is that? looks like a forxx with 35mm rake? would be an interesting combination with the 72,5 headangle of the cannibal...
