No, that isnt a good deal. Solars, I unfortunately have the hihats and ride on my kit, sound absolutely wank, they really are the epitomy of crap cymbals. Especially the crash. I have seen brand new sets of solars, with hihats ride and crash for £55 on ebay, and the crap quality stands that come with them will only be £20 each ones at best anyway, so they arent worth the money. Cymbals and cheap dont go together that well though... hmm... talk to drummers in your area and try and get second hand stuff from them as drummers are often lovely people! And im now running a few fairly nice cymbals (Slightly cracked Zildjian A Custom for example) which I was given free... Try and get stuff that like as a top notch cymbal that is slightly buggered often sounds better than a cheap cymbal ever can. Save for cymbals like mad as they are the bit that makes the differnence and are very expensive. Maybe a Sabian XS20 pack would be nice... around £180, and that includes hihats, 14" crash, 16"crash, 10" splash, 20" ride - a nice setup for the money. You chose drumming, its an expensive hobby (Y) By the way, just because a cymbal is from a good brand doesnt make it good - ie Sabian Solars are nothing like the rest of the range, hehe! Also some of the cheapy own brand pearl cymbals arent as bad as youd think, so its hard to tell! Zildjian ZBT an ZXT titaniums are also expensive and crap! So dont go brand, go by model. No, as has been covered previously, to have wireless internet around your home, you get a standard internet connection, and a wireless access point or router which shares that connection around your house.

Acers, hope it goes well... My friend who has one has had a faulty power supply... motherboard... hard disk... cd drive... and now some of the keys on the keyboard have stopped working. Its been shit. The support is great and fixes it each time... but man... it sucks! When its working, its nice though (Y)

if the camera is saving files in asf, it certainly isnt a mini DV camera... Unless it has a firewire(ilink) port, use that instead!

slightly nicer interface on the mac, with all the palettes seperated and more customisable like... but yeh basically the same. however you cant get final cut on windows... and final cut shits all over premiere, premiere is poo in comparison. macs are more stable too, ive never had a full crash on it - and i was editing 1 file with 12 hours of footage in it all loaded at once, it handled it fine, premiere would have died on that!!

Macs are a lot more simple and reliable for someone that is new to computers as you simply dont get adware problems with them, or virus problems, etc. however they are no good for gaming. iMovie is shit, thats why you dont like video editing on a Mac - its like using paint for your design coursework, lol, pathetic. You want final cut express or pro for mac :- Monkey, that isnt even funny, and its not a case of seriousness or anything, that was completely unnecessary.

Monkey you plank, its the same think, you set up a wireless network in your house, and it shares the internet over that. All you need is a wireless router and a wireless network card for your laptop and youre good to go.

Could he change the permission on drives that are remoteley attached to his computer? ie on the network server? if he can on that, you have some power, on the computer youre on, it means f**k all as you have full access to drive c anyway, lol... you say you could access everyones work, is that an idea you had, or did you actually load up someones coursework, or could you delete anyones files?

you do realise that accessing the C: drive has nothing to do with hacking a network? Thats a local drive for starters. You dont know what youre talking about. He cant change any permissions by doing that. You cant make a subnet by making a shortcut to the hard disk. LOL.

an airport extreme card, if you dont have wireless is only £60 ? if your ibook already has wireless obviously you dont need the card! so like i said, just get a netgear router, they are like 60-80 squid.

A wireless router (any brand, not just apples one), get it with a built in adsl modem. my netgear is solid. get an airport extreme card in your ibook, im running one in my powerbook typing this right now and its great.
