im not really sure about your relevance in the previous posting - exactly, you can easily have a laugh on a ride with a few mates, great time, great fun, everyone gets on, thats cool, its how it should be. however try having a personal little joke with a few mates, in the middle of this ride... the forum online ride, where there are what 2000members, hardly any of them will get it. thats why it was locked. nobody was digging at you. nobody thinks less of your opinion or feelings, or knowledge, or good humour. its just the way your post was done, it didnt really make any sense, nobody was going to get it except you 4 or 5 people... msn it man, thats what msn is for, your personal banter, its a good thing you have a laugh, but it doesnt work on here. do you get what i mean?

at the end of the day, whatever it was that happened made you guys laugh, and nobody can take that away from you :S if nobody else cares, then you can be happy in knowing you enjoyed something they didnt!

Just looked at this threa for the first time since I originally posted in it wayne, no, i didnt email anyone about trial noir, wasnt me. I only said what I did because I was around for the original 'trial noir' hype up where nothing happened, and for the similar feebal which was pretty much a few pros wearing a t shirt and a website with a logo. thats why i assumed that again this would come to nothing, fair play, something is happening, thats cool :S you kinda jumped on me about that, it was realistic to expect that it was going to come to nothing the way we are always promised big things from some of the pros and nothing happens. its cool that it come to something though so i take back my comment 'full of shit' or whatever i said :P s'all good!

Fat32 is very useful for being a drive format that can be read and written to... to be shared as an external hard drive to be used between a Mac and a Windows PC. Obviously you can network them so it wouldnt matter, but if you have a laptop you want to use your music with on the move, connect it to your laptop, and you want to hear it on your home computer, so you connect it to the home one Macs can only read NTFS but cant write to it - and Windows doesnt even have any support for the Mac filesystem :(

I assume that you didnt understand the mental attitude I was implying when I said about the egging your house thing, that was a parallel. To spell it out for you, if I egg your house, and you get pissed off at the fact there are egg stains on your walls, is just the same as how annoying it is to have all of these topics plastered over this forum every few minutes! Try recording from the microphone in sound recorder, with it set to mute. Obviously when you speak, you wont hear anything, but when you play the recording back, it should be there...

Im not on a crappy windows computer here... but its something like... start... programs... accessories... entertainment... volume control. click file. there is some kind of setting thing on there, or 'show' or something, where you select what levels to show. make it so you can see microphone on input and output. then mute the microphone output. i think that might do what you want it to. if that doesnt work, the mic is a piece of shit, get an external one! edit: oh, and the reason might be magnetic interference - just because you cant hear it doesnt mean there isnt any. its probably because laptop stuff generally isnt as well protected or work as well as bigger, more dedicated external equipment with proper shielding :turned:

You need a modem with an ethernet out on the back. Otherwise, it will be a bodge and the internet host connected to the usb modem would have to be on all the time, which is a waste. A modem with ethernet is only like £20 i think.
