i'd have to say free wheel, pads, stem and bars, and frame when your going from a beginners bike to something better. like da bomb to echo. i totally disgree with isis bb.

me and lads from round burnley area sometimes venture over to manchester city center. never been round the traford area is there any good riding spots there.

totally agree with you there mate i've got muscle mans and theres nothing wrong with them and i've bashed the shit out of them. just because they arnt £100 doesn't mean they arnt good. back on topic, first the freewheel and pads mate. then wen you got some money spare you mite want to upgrade to sealed bearing hubs. after you've replaced the freewheel and pads i'd say its just what ever you fancy upgrading to be honest. you mite want to up grade the stem and bars to improve the feel of the bike may be something like a echo stem and zoo bars. if your a beginer just upgrade when a part brakes and dont worry about weight it doesn't make that much difference and everything is now is usually fairly light.

if you can hear and fell a creak from you hande bars that usually means they're ready to snap. i'd take your forks out give them a good check for any cracks, other wise just grease everything like everyone said.

fair enough. but once you start gettin weight consious of your bike wanting the lightest parts you'll just use this as a excuse when you cant do stuff. in stead of wanting a really light bike you should just acdept the bike you've got and ride it , its not always the ligtest bike that suits you. such as a t-rex, an unbelievably poperular frame but weighs a ton because of its strenght. instead of wanting a light bike look at the geometry to see if it suits you. theres no point in having a light bike but you dont like how it rides.

its just practice mate. some people progress at different rates so just keep pluging along and u'll get better as time goes on. as for the weight of your bike this doesn't really matter when your a beginner if its heavy as your not doing any big moves where the weight of your bike could hold you back. i ride a gu 20' long with profile on the back and xc on the front with zoo bar and stem and echo headset.

when you say a reproduction. most frames are made in the same factory now with the exception of monty. and i believe the frames are picked out of a catalogue. zoo have the choice whether to with hold the frame from goin in the catolgue ( with a price obviously ) and if not another bike company can use the design and make a few slight changes such as a zona. so really it doesn't matter if the zona is a reproduction it should still be just as good. correct me if im wrong though. and zoos are no longer available in 2 sizes, only if you can pick up an 05 one. i do believe also that zonas are 1040 not 1045 id say if your not bothered about a bash plate and have the cash anyway get a zoo. first of all though ride both bikes, and try to find both bikes with similar stems as that will change how a bike rides. the only problem is that people who ride a zoo will say get a zoo and people who ride a zona will say get a zona. so just go out and ride them.

have you given up now or what. is the game going to ever happen or are you still short on help. update please

as far as i no u cant fit a booster such as echo ect because the space between the mounts on the forks are smaller than the four bolt mounts on the rear. im not sure though if you can get a booster that is made to fit the forks.

i had it before just tighten the lock ring up if your running an acs claw. and make sure the crank is tight and you should be fine

hope xc

it would help if you could get a picture up of the drop out for everyone to look at and then people can give better advice

first of all get really confident at hopping on the back wheel in the same spot. then theres 2 ways of doing it like some one sed. personally i first lernt how to do it by, the first hop that takes you on to the back wheel, i would turn the bike slightly in the direction im wanting to pivot as i go on to the back wheel. i felt it help alot because it gave me abit of momentum to get the bike round. then when i had got better i just practiced it from doing i from the back wheel with no little turn at first. to be honest its just practice, which ever way you do it you just need to practice as much as you can. try it on a curb first where you have as much room as you want to get the bike around, then go to a fair wide wall and do it on a smaller and smaller and smaller wall as you get better.

chances are it wasnt all the way through when it was only 1cm and now its sticking out properly. it should stick out a bout 2cm so dont worry.

the sprockets just screw on. but because of the fact when you kick it tightens the sprocket on more they are really tight on and can be hard to get off. first of all you can try a chain wip and if it is to tight on try heating the cog to expand the metal and use the chain wip then when it is hot. other wise just give it to a lbs to do. you could use a metal tube on the end of the chain wip as leaverige.

the frames are really strong a mate has one. he has really thrown his about and bashed and smashed it on walls and its hasnt got a dent yet. but because they are strong as f**k they are slightly heavy. id say if you like the ride of it go for it, and theres no need to worry bout he strenght of them.

iv got the exact same problem with my gu and have since crimbo iv tryed smooth snail cams, freshproducts, and im currently trying monty ones. the smooth ones: scrap them mate they will never work and theres no way you will get them to. iv try fileing notches in, and it dunt work mate. freshproducts: the notches helped alot mate but i wouldn't recommend them again becaouse the notches are to big and to few, your chain is either slack or super tight. and i found my wheel still moved. monty: so far these have been the best and i would say you should get some of these. the notches are small so you can adjust the tension of the chain with more control. and my wheel hasn't moved really. i have also tryed a bmx tensioner with the two bolts that push against the end of the drop outs. i actually found these to work really well. but the only problem is you have to but something like a small piece of metal in between the drop our and the end of the bolt. you need to do this or the bolt just pushes into the drop out . but if you can sort it out so the little metal plate sits in between protecting the drop out, it means the bak wheel is really easy to set up generally and the wheel shouldn't move. hope iv helped some how, id say go for the monty snail cams there your best bet

hqave you tryed looking in his details for his addy an add him to msn

just get normal onza ones off tarty ect, they are cheap and easy to use and set up. dont get the bmx style tensioners with the screws, as the screws screw into your frame because its aluminium. also if your bike is made by deng (echo gu ect) with the small cnc drop outs you will have to use snail cams if this the case then i would recomend monty ones as iv used many different types and found these to be the best. hope i helped

i was out with a few mates who dont ride trials but i was on my bike, at the time i wasnt that good really just learning but they thought i was all great so i was trying to show off abit. and i pulleda wheelie and i was doing it up 2 a curb and i dropped the front wheeland hit the curb going over the handle bars i looked a rite tit lol this happened to a mate. i did a drop that was about 5 foot or so nothing speacial and my mates bike was up on the ledge. and a mates girl friend said can i have a go on your bike and i said no go on his, so she did. and she got on it put to feet on the pedals and tryed to balance like i could (trackstand pritty much)and she just let the bike and her lean to one side and slowly fall over and down the drop. icouldnt stop pissin me self with laughter.

you should of just bought a avid bb7 lol depending on how confident you are with them give it a good look over and pull to peaces and clean like suggested above, but if your not confident just give it a bike shop. in the future mate buy a avid they are much less hasle.

id say change the gearing on it next but this is costly and if you really like it as it is then keep it for a while longer. but defornatly the higher gearing like a front freewhell an eno or a profile will improve your riding. if non of that interst you may be drilled rims. but i would recomend changing the gearing as it will improve your riding in time as it is a higher gear giving you more power.
