  1. The Ashton is a very nice bike it has to be said, The GU is a bit too long for my liking, and i have never ridden or even seen a zona and the Zoo rides very nicely. I think you should take into consideration the bike you are riding at the moment, and think about what you like about it and what you don't like, You can't really ask other people to pick you out a frame, You don't want to be spending £200 pounds for a frame you don't like.
  2. Snow is amazing, I'v been riding in it all day :) . My snowboard is in New Zealand (Y) .
  3. I've only ever had one nightmare that I was being kidnapped by the road maintenance people when i was about 5 (Y) .
  4. Yeah I think you will get on well with it :P .
  5. You have been given the answers, what other's do you want :) . It depends, are you feeling comfortable on your giant? If you are then i'm sure you would be fine on a zoo, What wheel base are you thinking about getting?
  6. Short bikes are easier to spin and flick around, there also easier to bunnyhop up things and lift the front end up and feel more responsive, so are used mainly for street. With Long bikes you will have more balance to hop and rolling over and down rocks. Long bikes are also easier to gap having a longer wheel base, and are used mainly for Naural or comp.
  7. Wrap some electrial or duck tape around it a few time's. It will stop you splitting it so many times, My mate used to split his all the time and he just wrapped duck tape around it before it had a chance to split.
  8. I was out riding today in the snow, and my back break was nearly none existant, so I decided to do a bit of natural on some rocks close to my house since it was far too wet to ride street, and it just hit me that its not summer anymore, It's cold and snowing. So how does your bike work in the cold, rain and snow, I don't just mean break pads but tires, Grip's and pedals. And if in the cold anything on you bike ceases up or works less well in the cold put it down. I have got: plazmatic CRM pads (warn in) on a light grind and it just didn't lock at all. Hope Mono, 1 year old which need's a bleed, and it worked better than ever. Creepy crawler tires front and rear which are running low on tread and they worked very well. Monty foam grips, which didn't budge on the bar but got very soggy. DMR V8 pedals which worked amazingly. Cheers guys :P .
  9. I know what you mean, I quite enjoy putting bikes together and making them nice for how you ride. I don't like it nowhere near as much as riding though :P
  10. I Agree with you SHIBBY,deffently too much LSD before bed :) . That actually made me laugh out loud, I think you had better get saving up the pennies to pay off that bike bill :P .
  11. You will need thread tape, Electrical tape is too thick and will just tear when you do up the pedals. You should just spend a bit of time looking over you drivetrian, having a look at everything people have said above.
  12. These will be near enough perfect Van's. I think you should get the stylish Checkcer Vans slipons :P .
  13. I have got an ace up my sleeve though :P . We have got a abandoned warehouse we can ride in, It even has electricity and lights so we can have music :P .
  14. Spot on alex :P . I think that if the bars are slightly shorter, you will be able to pull up a extra few MM's.
  15. My mocks start on the 12th :P , and I suck at school so much. There only mocks anyway so don't really matter... I think :P .
  16. He is a member now, As monkey said this thread is two weeks old :P .
  17. It never snows down here :P , I think the only time it snowed was in 1988 or something. But the forcast is snowing tomorrow in sunny St Ives :P .
  18. The length of the bars dose make quite a difference in the height of your hop etc, I had had 30" carbon fiber bars and I swopped them for some 28" bars and I found I had more control and could back wheel higher.
  19. Or you could be having the same problem that me and murph are having, the pedals slightly wobble around in the cranks (you can't even feel it really but they undo themselves, when i was riding last weekend i thought my BB had gone but both my pedals were loose and almost falling off), he sorted it out with come thread tape which makes the threads slightly bigger. EDIT: They are DMR V8 pedals that we have got.
  20. I've had a head on collision with a car around a blind corner/cross roads, and my head planted streight into the bonnet (Y) . That wasn't on my Trials bike though.
  21. Mine would be getting the back of my skate shoe caught in my chainstay when i was just riding slowly down a road, and not being able to move my shoe and just falling on the ground (Y) .
  22. Deffently one with a peak, I have got a gyro semi, It's relitively cheap but decent.
  23. What BB is it? Try taking it apart and greasing it, There could be gritt in there, you cranks could be rounded off slightly, It could be your free wheel / cog or it could be your Bottom Bracket.
