  1. Was a big car meet in aberdeen at the weekend some pics my dad got. I was away down edinburgh unfortunatly looked an awsome turn out though
  2. If your going to give the cl5+ pads a go i would try clean your wheels quite often there meant to wreck them with dust coming off them and possibly same qith paint up the side od your car. Mines didnt squeek at all till after track day thought i was lucky not to have the squeek when i first put them on but it soon came ha. Cheers azarathel will give that a whirl tomorrow. I know the vbatt has been on the climb since driving it around the battery stays at a solid 14.4-14.5 but the vbat drops to around 13.5 when i put indicators then climbs back to 13.7 when i switch them off so they both must be voltages from different parts of the car. Im 99 percent sure they read the same before my alternator packed in. Will report back tomorrow once i have checked the battery.
  3. anyone able to advise. I never noticed this before but on my dash i have battery which shows 14.5v and i have vbatt which sits around the 13.7 range whats the different between the 2 or should they both read the same? Im wandering weather my batterys nackered since the alternator packed in and its trying to charge it too 14.5 but its only holding 13.7 max.
  4. yeh sam i ordered up ds2500 pads with a few guys on the forum rating them quite highly the cl5+ pads were also recomended by a few on there and with everyone on here saying get rid of the ds2500 i instantly cancelled my order and went with the cl5+. Im running them with mb6 calippers up front. Have no complaints done knockhill with them between 20 and 25 laps and there still cracking pads for daily road use. They are a little bit noisy when gently breaking though but this doesnt bother me in the slightest. I think for fast road set up the ds2500 are meant to be a good pad just they supposidly fall apart on track. Im looking at upgrading to willwood set up on the front. Group by running at the minuite but its not looking likly for 10 guys to be involved :(.
  5. Thats the audi sold few 100 negative equity but not to bad considering kerbed alloy and 2 new front tyres were needed. Took the teg for a well deserved thrash last night with my 2 pals both in subarus silver stage 1 and blue 1 has a good few mods and i think remapped also. Needless to say the teg held its own no bother who needs a turbo haha.
  6. Cheers liam. What make you running? Theres soo much out there was thinking of just grabbing a tegiwa 1 or blackworks also. The dc2 forum is soo dead did put up a post but not much acitivity going on there.
  7. Car is now working again been mega busy so its sat there doing nothing and battery was pretty dead. So 30 mins today and alternator was changed over jump started car and voltage wasnt dropping . Im not to happy with the front cage fitment its maby just me been tall but with a helmet on unless i slouch slightly it hits the cage. It can defs go a few inches higher if i grind away parts of the roof in the corner so will get 2 new bars and refit next year once weather is looking better again. Anyways car is going to get used as a daily for a bit so a half cage will do me just fine till next year. Wheres everyone taking oil temps from? 1 option i have seen is use a oil sandwhich plate between the filter and plumb in oil pressure and oil temp sensors and take it from there, others are taking it from sump plugs ect. Just looking for best option so i can have this also on my dash.
  8. You would totally love my car then the wiring is horrendous soo much connectors just flapping around with no purpose i would love to buy proper kswap harnessess and tidy the car up but it does the job. I took the steering wheel off aswell to find out the airbag wasnt even connected up haha.
  9. I would remove that vxr badge u just know everyone is thinking he wishes he had a vxr but each to there own.
  10. That was freaking awsome huge moves all around
  11. Or this http://www.vwroc.com/forums/topic/9961-hurdys-6r-for-sale/ Look forward to seeing the results with a custom map am sure youll be more than pleased with the power.
  12. http://s1158.photobucket.com/user/greg130190/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20150817_125054_zpslwel9b7b.mp4.html See if that works just finished uploading now. Who you going with to map the se george? I had my golf r stage 2 with full exhaust and intake system with revo. Giac seems to be well though of on the rforum
  13. Whats your plans to get 400bhp out of it george? Called garage today about the i need to get oil sandwhich plate with oil temp and oil pressure sensors and there going to wire it into the ecu for the dash to read correctly. Heres a video of the noise my car seems to make the altenator goes red hot straight away and smells like burning. Will get video up once its finished uploading some opinions would be great. Quick pick of dash at night before car packed in. Going to machine up a bracking for it tonight at work. As u can see healthy voltage at mid 14 now wont go above 11. . Azarathal great picture car looks epic in purple
  14. Absolutly raging. Thought i would take the car out for a drive tonight after having the new dash fitted. Anyways after about 30 mins car started making a horrible noise and thw battery light stayed on and it started losing voltage managed to just pull over and shut the car off but the voltage went down to around 11 before hand. Hoping its nothing serious but back to car garage tomorrow hopefully to see whats up with it.
  15. The guy who done the dyno wasnt in today but im sure if the car was going that lean he would have left a note saying something wasnt right so possibly is a gear change as u say.
  16. Yeh i did think that after having a good look at both graphs that they seemed to be making the same power at the same rpm. The only tyres i have now is my semi slicks for the car which would be a nightmare in the wet i would imagine. But im happy enough with the way the car drives and the figures. On the dyno dynamics rollers it was putting out 260bhp i know certain rollers give u happy figures while others not so much haha 1 last thing does afr seem normal enough? ?
  17. Haha that means more money for some new tyres altho i really need to get myself on some 15s. Right i have looked at previous map and am a bit concerned with where the torque and bhp cross over is it seems to have moved up 2000rpm any reason why this might be.
  18. New dash installed everything working as it should now at last. Need to have a play around with it but i think all need an extra harness for oil pressure ect displayed. Dyno run puts the car at 250bhp so happy with that also with a measly 170lbft. Excuse the messy pic need to get something made up to hold the dash in place and can rip out half the wiring for the old s2000 dash and convertor. Was hoping to make another track day this month but heading on holiday with the misus so think thatll be it for this year unless weather keeps up the sunshine. Still few parts at home to fit and oil change to do.
  19. So dropped car off at garage yesterday to have my dash brake fluid changed and dyno power run done. Nipped round by on my way home from work to see how they were getting on. Struggling a bit to get the fuelling calibrated which i thought they might have. So have been told they will need car till tomorrow still to get the power runs done and speedo calibrated on the dyno also. I am expecting a hefty bill tomorrow for the car which i was hoping would be kept down to a days labour. Just hope they can solve the fueling out.
  20. Last of my parts finally Cheers adam. Thats a seriously quick time considering the power. I think if i ditch my passanger and seat haha should see an extra 1-2 seconds a lap hopefully. My pals away to get his celica gt4 up and running again with around 400bhp hes itching to get it on the track after the other day so wont be needing to share the car.
  21. Well first ever track day was a success. Absolutly loved it and the car withstood the beating no problem at all. I probably done around 25 laps in total over the course of the 2 hours with coming in 4 times to let the car and brakes cool down. Was a long drive down with having no trailer and a really noisy 1 at that, car is horrible on the motorway haha The cl5+ pads were awsome once they got a bit of heat in them brake fade was pretty minimal over the day with the pedal staying pretty much consistant over the day. Track was never too busy either was always plenty of space. Was the only dc2 there but plenty of other honda civics s2000 and 1 dc5. Dont know what a good time around knockhill would be but after going through footage on camera quickest lap was around a 1.10. The last corner was a bit of a nightmare i found i was either breaking to late or too early. Car seemed to do quite well in the straights but when it came to corners the civics seemed to be able to hold more speed. Something i will need to work on as i get more comfortable with the track and get used to the breaking points. I have loads of footage on the go pro camera wasnt mounted in the best of places would have been better placing it on the dash board will do this next time. Will get some of it uploaded later tonight. Thinking of booking another night session for the end of the month. So will be giving the brakes fresh bleed and oil and filter change before that.
  22. New cl5+ pads arrived today just in perfect timing. Fitting them to the car saturday morning then should be all set for track day monday. Track limit of 105db checked with phone just under 100 at full rpm dunno how acurate phone is but hopefully it passess when i get down there. Will post up some go pro footage of my newbie skills afterwards.
  23. So this arrived this morning cant wait to get it wired into the car need to make up some sort of holder for it still also. Knockhill booked for the 3rd of august aswell
  24. They are some machine. Tried to have a wee play with 1 in the teg and you would have thought i was stationary always good to see some 1 willing to give there car like that some. Car passed its mot today thank god its a yearly thing. Going to take it out for a good blast tonight if the rain stays off its been sat for a few weeks.
