What a stress today tried to fit cage but cant seem to get the rear stay foot plates in pictures i got with the cage cant make it out. Never realised it was going to be soo much work the 2 bars go right behind everything behind the dash so still more to rip out.

This just arrived. Got another can of y56 paint also to finish my splitter. Car should all be sorted this weekend

Call today saying my cage will be delivered tomorrow cant wait to get it fitted and harness in the car now. Also jardo your a car salemen aint you. What you think my audi would roughly be worth. 13 plate a3 2.0tdi s-line with metalic paint and privacy glass. Currently on around 11k miles? When i last got it valued few months back for trade in i was offered £19500 hoping to hand it back after xmas.

Any clues whats up, maby its the same issue thats causing it to drop bellow idle when slowing down and dipping the clutch. Got it booked into garage end of the month to get it checked out. But if anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

Got the shape all finished will stay back a bit to turn it over flick the face and drill the holes shouldnt take long at all anyways heres some updated pics

Makes everything he does look effortless such a machine.

The finish should be super smooth it will be flicked across both faces with a facemill then the sides will be cut twice with a carbide endmill. Im used to working with 0.001 tollerances and 32ra seal bores so finish and sizes and concentricity will be perfect.

Haha its the way my graphics work i tell it a rough piece of material thats why the stocks bigger than the finished piece. And from a top view when showing you the 5mm holes into the 2mm i cant get the machine to show a smaller diameter under a bigger top 1. The way i will be machining it is, grip in a vice machine it upside down turn it round gripping on the 20mm side then flash across face then put in the through holes. Was just a rough graphics i was trying to show

Found material i will have it made by friday then post it friday afternoon/ sat morning when ever i get a chance.

And a bottom view of it finished thats it all done ready to machine. If this 1 comes out ok and your happy with it i can find out cost of some alluminuim or brass for you and machine some of them also.

so thats the graphics on the machine with most of it programmed. Just gotta find some steal then i shall be good to go.

Whats the top parts rads and the bottom part corner rads im maby missing them but cant see them on the drawing?

Been a cnc machinist now for 8 years and worked for 3 different companys and all my drawings i work with are imperial i get the odd drawing in metric and it just gets converted straight away. But yeh the machine when starting a new programme asks weather i want to programme in mms or inches but all the inspection equipment we have is all imperial also. Most drills and all tools i use are all metric so i can convert also of sizes off the top of my head or the good old × or ÷ by 25.4 works it out easily. But dont listen to ross im nae an auld man haha am only 24.

Inches would be better i hate working in metric mate. Ill be back to work tomorrow so hopefully i can grab a bit of steel and make it for you during lunch.

Im afraid only material we have is steel. Not sure if that will be any use for you. Ill machine 1 up for you free of charge should only take 15-20 mins between programming the machine ect and you can just cover postage.

Im a cnc miller. So could be made absolutly spot on to size. Upload a drawing of what your after. Am sure we will have some spare material at work i could pinch lol

Right need some help. When my cars cold and im driving its fine but when i put the clutch in the revs drop below idle like its about too cut out. From owning the car its cut out twice while driving the car first thing on a cold morning. Once cars up to temp though the idle point sits fine when i dip the clutch? Also first thing when i start the car up if i push the accelator the revs dip bellow idle then it revs. This only happens for about 10 seconds then its fine. My first honda so am pretty clueless and this is why i stayed away from old cars for soo long haha. Any help in things i should look at first would be great.

Looked pretty solid driving jardo. How are you finding your new seats and where did u get them from if u dont mind me asking. I put the order in for my cage today should be here im 2 weeks. But im looking at getting a new seat to mount my harness correctly. Remember seeing you got yours for £300 was it which would do me nicly for the time being. Anyways home from work today today with a letter through the door saying package was sitting at a neighbours and tadaa harness had arrived courtesy of demon tweeks. The last lot of things i will be buying hopefully before this curborough tf track day to finish the car off will be 15 inch team dynamics with toyo r888s or something similar. Quick release steering boss and new wheel Buddyclub seat rails with new seat and side mounts Also splitter as it stands just now still not got round to spraying it with the weather been crappy round my neck of the woods. But its all sanded and filled ready to go.

Got speaking to the supervisor welder at work and hes done a few roll cages in cars and said he will weld 1 in my teg for free so custom cages weld in cage is getting ordered friday and means more pennies can be spent elsewhere. Still awaiting harness and go pro to arrive. Have no idea whats happening with the go pro seems to keep getting delayed.

Im on holiday till the 14th of feb so any date after that would be great am defs keen for this and willing to pay deposit anytime.

Right guys need a bit of help. The misus is keen to get away very end of november into start of decemeber for a cheeky Week away being somewhere warm or somewhere cold and fun. Somewhere in the range of 1000-1500 between us. Any suggestions would be great. Shes mentioned iceland? anyone been before not somewhere thats ever crossed my mind. And the obvious tennerife ect which will be warm compared to the gd old uk.
