  1. Hey mate. Had a look at the drawings fairly straight forward stuff but im afraid i wouldnt be able to do it as i no longer work with the company i was able to do homers. If you like i can forward the drawings over to the engineer there and get a price for you as there not that busy at the moment? But any machine shop should be able to knock them up for you without any trouble.

    Im actually looking forward to this season im in no way a massive f1 fan that watches everyone race but i do watch it when i can. Since starting with toro rosso i think i will be more inclined to watch and get to see a few more races live. Roll on the race at 6 am tomorrow and hopefully max does well. For been so young he certainly seems to be some driver.
  3. Was it a b18 you were going for Sam? Tegs been sat at parents for the last 2 months while I'm working abroad. Wasnt keen to drive it over untill i knew everything was going to go well. I have decided if all goes well here and contract goes into a rolling 1 I will be driving it over to Italy end of april. I'm 20 mins drive from Imola circuit so would definitely be booking up some track time there. Aswell as other circuits around. Car will be due it's mot again aswell by the time I get home so make sure it's in tip top condition before making any long journeys.

  7. We have a faro arm at work but only inspection use it see it in use everyday though since its directly across from my machine. Still Cant beat good old mics and verniers though

I have normally just stuck on a new intake and not gave it a 2nd thought but should i get the car back on the dyno afterwards to check over fueling?   10. Nice 1 jardo look forward to the video. I can imagine they go quite well with been such a wee car. Some young loon next to my parents has 1 and it pops away and sounds pretty decent has a airtec fmic on it also so guessing its fully moded. Ive been in the normal fiat 500 thing was pretty hilarious with its sport button. Would be cool to get to a proper track with some of u tfers. I know u can rent knockhill for the night think its £2500 but looks like most u guys are down south.
  11. thanks tom am happy with the outcome am not a massive fan of diy dont have the patience to be a perfectionist but happy with it. Good shout about the silicone sealer got some at home so will run that round the edges. will u be sticking the turbo kit on the jdm b16 or waiting till you have built up your b16a2 sam? drift land looks awsome pete went down for there open day sone serious motors were there. 1 of the guys i know has got a toyota soarer i think it is hes hoping to get down drift land aswell once he sorts a few things out with his car. I did consider an s15 before i got the teg but thought the dc2 seemed a bit more suited to the track. Went out for a 5 hour drive sunday with few of my pals 2 guys pulled out which was a bit of a bummer not often we get a big group of us going most my pals aint into cars. But headed out towards bramar and along glenshee road. Seen some awsome cars out for a thrash also. We parked up for a bit and porche gt3 audi r8 and think it was aston martin went buy all with go pros attached to there cars so was clearly out for some fun. Dunno what the r8 had done to it but it sounded soo good. Didnt get a chance for much pics am afraid but some amazing scenary out that way.

  13. On nightshift at the minuite so friday off work thought i would start cracking with holder for dash. First time doing some fibre glassing dad was supervising ha. Still a work in progress just got to smooth off the filler on the front and give it a lick of paint and do the cut outs but its coming on heres how its looking at the minuite.
  14. sweet i dont think u can go wrong which ever route u head down. Id imagine 220 on the b18 would be easy enough with a high comp build. Manual, The cage is specifically for a nova just it could all come out the car as a whole since floor ect was cut away its all welded back into the shell now though. He bought that car as pictured above for his first car almost 10 years ago since gear box went few months after purchasing it if i remeber correctly it was instantly turned into a project car. Its a full weld in cage from custom cages for a nova it does have some custom work on it since its going to be 4 wheel drive thats why the floors been cut away.
  15. it should look like 1 again once its all built and sprayed. Every panel possible has had a mould made up to make most of the car carbon fibre. It should look like this once again but all carbon once its done.
  16. Nice 1 sam. Sort of power you aiming for with the b18? And which ecu u going to be hooking it up too? Some pics of my friends nova its coming on nicly possibly going to be on the road next year thing is going to be an absolute monstor 4 wheel drive i think around 700kg and around 500bhp.
  17. Quick release and new wheel on the car. System is spot on absolute no play in it at all quality bit of kit. Indicators still switch them selfs off and horn will work once i get it wired up. Decided i need to get my finger out and get my dash sorted so its mounted to the car and not just sitting on a towel haha. So bought a fiberglass kit and went over to see the parents as dads the handy man so will be making it for me. Got a cut out in place just need to sand it all dowm at work monday and he will fibreglass front and back to hold it in place then will get dash properly mounted to that. Also flocked dash has came once i get a minuite 1 weekend i will be taking old 1 out and ripping out all the uneccesary wiring and tidying the car up and heating back in. Also thinking of upgrading intake to 1 of these. I recon some more power could be had with getting colder air. My intake temps get quite high during the day according to dash they go up to around 45-50 its fine at nights with it been cold at the moment around 18 but on track in the sun my current set up is probably just pulling in loads of hot air from engine bay.
  18. As already said some seriously sweet shots there duncy. Nice 1 luke always good to see some1 machine there own parts rather than buy. Wish we had some small machines at work were only geared up for biggish stuff even the manual lathes are a fair size. Thoughts on the new m2? Personally i absolutly love it and if its going to be limited production will hold its value really well. Still not sure on the blue i recon white with some carbon goodies on it would look rather tasty.
  19. nice 1 should feel good if you have short throw with stick also. I took a gander at height of my stick today and its near on centre with the wheel also and feels awsome used to hate going bk to the audis stick feeling like stirring soup.
  20. its just a standard dc5 gear box in the car. How much of a difference would changing the final drive make for the likes of motorways? I dont have a trailer and its a 2 hour drive to my nearest circuit.
  21. Recieved an email back from tdi they would put 400bhp through the motor but keep the torque limited since it doesnt have uprated rods. All for a small fee of £6500 drive in drive out
  22. i knew it was 1 of u boys couldnt remeber which. I dont think i could push anywhere near 350 at the wheels since am still running high comp pistons. Dont want to rip the engine apart as its done about 5k since been rebuilt to lower the compression.
  23. sam youve boosted your ek havent you? Howz the drivability of it with the turbo? Im possibly considering boosting my k20 i have emailed tdi north with engine spec to see sort of power my engine would quite happily take not looking for anything massive i recon 350 at the fly tops if it will take it. I see they have a turbo kit cost around £5k fully fitted and tuned but my engine will never take that and in front wheel drive i couldnt see it doing much other than spinning. Just ordered up a nice new flocked dash board for the teg i really need to get the heating back in past few days with the rain aint been fun to drive with the windows steaming up. I seem to have got a new knocking sound also which needs investigated. Sourced a leak on the inside and got some filler in the hole going to give the rear bootwell a paint get it looking nice again now that no water should be getting in. Hopefully good weather this weekend so i can spend a day on the car but wont get my hopes up with how dire its been since monday.
