  1. Also known as "Facit Old Quarry" - it's on the hill top above "Cowm reservoir" - here
  2. The original form changed will be fine. Yes you'll stll have an entry.
  3. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but we've had to change the venue for Sunday's competition. It will now be at Back Cowm Quarry, Whitworth, Nr Rochdale. Same time and everything, just a different venue. If you've already sent your entry form, no problem it will be carried forward. If you haven't - get it sent off now! (Downloadable from here) Disappointing when we were expecting a new venue - but hey, practice for the next British Championship round!!! While you're on there, take a look at the June dates - a two-day at Brimham Rocks with camping overnight! More information and details after our next meeting.
  4. Ok - we've got a new venue! Entry forms will be sent out this week to full members - in the meantime - details here.
  5. Whoooaaa - slow down. I said I'll talk to the council this week!
  6. I organised the world round at Skipton - if you give me a call I can give you the name, number etc of the guy responsible on the council for sorting out stuff like this. He'll be able to sort out an area for you, possibly insurance, safety barriers, etc. Barbara
  7. Presume so - Chris left home at 7.00am this morning to meet the rest in Liverpool.
  8. Ok ... sections set up - not a scrap of mud in sight. It was raining part of the time we were doing it but is now lovely sunshine. Hope it keeps up tomorrow! See you then. Barbara
  9. So how "old" is the spring chicken?! Tyketrials' oldest rider is about 35 I think - and it doesn't seem to bother him! Come along on Sunday to Deer Park at Bingley - join the club, have a ride and just enjoy it! See you on Sunday. Barbara
  10. I hate butting in here, but I won't have customers getting misleading information:- 3 months on frame only 6 months on frames from full build bikes At least that's what it's been for the last seven years we've been working and dealing with them.
  11. Yes, we'd had the 2005 frames in, but those that arrived here last Tuesday were the first 2006 frames to come out of Spain. We weren't absolutely certain till they got here that they would actually be the 2006 ones!
  12. The only place you'll get the 20" stem without Ti bolts is IF you can find a dealer who has some VERY old stock in. We sold out of them over a year ago and have not been able to get any more. The 221 Ti is the only Monty model that uses that stem so they do now only come with the ti bolts. That pic on BikeDock is definitely the 20" stem - but it does say for the 231 (26"). My guess is that they've just used the wrong picture. And the 231 stem comes with normal bolts. A cheaper alternative to the 221 Ti stem could be the new 221 pro stem.
  13. Three classes: "Rookie" (white route); "Inter" (blue route); "Pro" (red route). Ride what wheel size you want!
  14. Entry forms are being mailed to all 2005 club members on Monday with membership renewal forms to give members first chance. Then they'll be posted up here. Closing date 3rd April. UCI rules. Camping on both Friday and Saturday nights.
  15. Always look on the bright side of life ..... IT IS NOT GOING TO SNOW ON SATURDAY OR SUNDAY I forbid it to!!!
  16. Completely sold out and no more being made/imported - it's all the "new" ones now. Sorry!
  17. One each for top 3 to keep, one cup for 1st place to give back. Back onto topic now ... should be a good trial in wales ....
  18. You know those bike parts that you break, wear out, get stolen ... well ... - New section flags for 2006 old ones broken beyond repair - New masonary drill for section building old one got stolen/gone missing - New tables for signing on always used my own camping table up till now - Toilets personally I'd like a clean and empty one for each comp!!! - Wine to thank observers would somehow lose the "thanks" if we asked for it back for next time! - Section tape for national round if anyone wants to wash all the mud off and wrap it up neatly, you're welcome to - thanks for the offer! - Awards for top 3 in each class at club rounds "here's your prize, now can we have it back for next month!" - End of year championship awards "here's your prize, now can we have it back for next year!" - clipboards - have always used my own in the past - and they do wear out - Rubbish bags well I'm not going to empty them out and wash them! - marker pens wear out/get lost/dry up - time-clocks die eventually / get accidentally taken home / disappear - batteries die - punches get wet, rusty, eventually go blunt and don't punch any more - punchcards re-use?... ok we can do that, I'll enter the next comp myself and re-use Chris Walker's punchcard from the last comp!
  19. Don't worry - TykeTrial have already been approached and are arranging a date change - details of change to be announced after our meeting on Monday. We think it's a great opportunity from British Cycling to promote the sport to the wider cycling community.
  20. Monty stopped doing the Hydra last autumn. Have a look at the 221 Pro for a similar spec. There are none in the country at the moment, but due in in about 2 weeks. Cheers
