  1. check your internet cable for rodents?
  2. Cant wait!! That's going to be the best vid ever if it's as good as the trailer edit: it shouldn't get deleted, if somebody's gone to the trouble of asking for a larger account, he should no doubt know the rules of that server edit2: was amazing but after a point it became boring because they just showed the same stuff from a different angle. the base jumping at the beginning was sick
  3. I agree, you gain flow when you know exactly how to execute a move - your mind doesn't concentrate on which muscles to move, when to release the brake and how much to move your body. Personally I'm experiencing this lack of flow ever since I've tried to learn to sidehop to my bad side which is right. Although going to the left seems very relaxed, easy and controlled my body is all stiff when it comes to doing exactly the same move but to the opposite direction. I somehow can't bend as much and keep the brake on longer before launching upwards. Nevertheless it's just a matter of practicing more, that's where flow comes from. I've seen lots of vids in which a rider did big stuff, had lots of accuracy but absolutely no flow and it turned out he was fairly new to trials.
  4. Just a thought really, if the caliper had an IR port one could upload ring tones onto it, or maybe even full videos if the brake was equipped with Kingston brake pads (apparently SanDisk brake pads are not good for trials use).

Somebody tell this guy that you can also jump up things in trials
  6. I was just thinking, why make a special lever if you could in fact use a Monty compensator?
  7. The pimp factor, nothing else. And the additional weight is probably the paint.
  8. Salt & Vinegar crisps... last year during my London stay I'd buy 4 packets of Walkers on the way to work and 4 when I got back. After 2 weeks the shopkeeper asked me if I was alright Another thing is pork sausages, my dad's crazy about them as well so we get two packets shipped every second week to us and have a huge sausage feast with proper strong mustard. Neither of these items can be bought this end
  9. Or take your laptop to rides and use a special program to control all the brakes around you. Nah, the idea is great, one could have a huge electromagnet in the caliper and a powerful UPS between the bottom and top tube.
  10. Don't ride mod any more, had 170's when I did. Rode a mate's long GU with 158mm cranks not so long ago and they felt great, if I were to build up a mod, that's the length I'd get hold of.
  11. Wasn't too keen on it either, it also made me feel cold.
  12. It's a fork because the name fork came from the shape of this part.
  13. That kind of system (not electronic) has been around for ages under the name of SPV. Essentially it does just what you described, had a fork with that platform and it really worked. SPV is also fitted into rear shocks. Another system was fitted into Progressive 5th element shocks, I think it had 8 different adjusters with which you could control exactly how it behaved among others on fairly smooth and harsh terrain.
  14. Rear Echo rims have a completely different profile. It's amazing how people will believe anything that's written on Tartybikes web
  15. They are good, had loads of them in the past and they've been fine. Got an SL in my bike right now, it's strong and light
  16. Hard to say really. I rode a Profile for a while (essentially the same system as the Pro II) and had 2 kings throughout the last 14 months. Neither of the hubs skipped once, so if I was to base my opinion on just that, I'd buy what's cheaper. But knowing how the King mechanism works I will never again get a pawl hub. So for me it's Chris King all the way unless I'd be using my bike every second rainy Sunday in which case I'd get a pawl hub.
  17. It doesn't have to be, I've yet to come across a frame in which the geometry is as it should be. 330mm is the height of the hubs from the ground and bb rise is how much higher the bb is from the hubs. It's pure maths really, my A1 has a 62mm rise and a 18mm longer wheelbase than it should have.
  18. All I heard was that they're very weak. If you want a light hub you might want to check out Soul Kozak components. The front disc hub weighs about 110g and is very strong, a non disc will probably be under 80.
  19. A chris king BMX disc hub won't work with 110mm hub spacing which the PR has unless you do an adaptor bodge or machine down the brake and hub which I doubt you would like to do. The problem with this hub is that the disc mount is too close to the frame (after all the disc shell isn't designed to be used in bmx hubs) leaving no space for the caliper. With a 116mm spaced frame like any other apart from Monty, you can put all the tensioners on the non drive side and align the rotor correctly. Besides, does it have to be red? You'd have a huge choice of hubs otherwise, Echo make some, Monty make the 221Pr and Ti hubs in disc form and I'm pretty sure Viz do as well seeing as they copied Monty hubs (or vice versa). Um what about profile disc hubs?
  20. Yeah but we've got such people in bicycle trials as well. For instance Ashton, I'm sure Hermance is fully pro, Bealey and the Coustellier brothers probably as well. And what about guys like Lenosky? I bet he earns loads on doing shows.
  21. Compare it to different sports where all the "action" is down to one person, say Golf. You need lots of publicity, public attention, investors, sponsors, media coverage, etc. which trials will never get. The only way you can earn money on this sport is to set up a business. I've earned about 1,40 pounds on riding so far, a bit more on selling parts. Edit: It's all down to popularity, I think it's in Korea where one of their national sports is a computer game. People earn money and fame by sitting in front of a computer killing goblins...
  22. For that money I'd rather have a King headset...
  23. Pimping! I like how the headset matches the graphics on the tyres
  24. I don't know how Royal Mail works, but if this was sent with a service where you get no proof of sending, you are the one to blame. If you did get a receipt and lost it, bad luck... but it's still your fault. I've got a draw full of receipts, even if something does get lost by the post, I can prove to the buyer that I have sent it off. Works the other way as well, if I bought something and didn't receive it, I'd demand a full refund unless presented with a proof of sending in which case I'd only ask the seller to investigate the matter. Sorry dude, you did wrong by loosing the silly piece of paper.
  25. Or a very sharp knife. You need to rotate the hose while you cut. I used a kitchen knife for beef steaks and it worked beautifully
