  1. well, very good idea certainly something i imagine never has beeen thought of before... i didnt get it at first, but happy now an extra rim and some pawls wouldnt be too heavy...but a big rachet around the whole rim, thats were it gets heavy ! i like the idea all the same though, complicated but inventive...thinking out side the box *goes to add reply* but woh brainwave: since you would have basically the hub internals inside your rim...you wouldnt need the internals inside your hub! smaller hub+more support, bigger axle and all of a sudden the wheel doesnt seem that heavy
  2. 180posted max dont think ul get away with anything 200+ mate
  3. rubbing against your frame ?
  4. ye the police over here are pathetic and really dont have jack to do so when something does happen they over exzagerate it big time ! 5 police cars to arrest 1 shop lifter and since we live on such a small island the police are spread out 20ft from each other so you really cant get away with much riding without being stopped
  5. that nite was funny, jay you pissedoffobserdlyoffensiveman... still hate old people that have nothing better to do after countdown execpt shout at youngsters... wish they would just accept times are changing and were hardly not going to act like they did when they were young
  6. Its all cheaper in Jersey no vat just gunna try something out... 29+35+17+20+55+52=208 (total cost of parts) 208 / 100 = 2.08 = 1% 2.08 x 17.5 = 36.4 (saving of £36.40 when vat is deducted) 208 - 36.4 = 171.6 (grand total of parts if shipped to Jersey) So if it where all sent to me here in Jersey you would think you could save £36, but + postage charges if recorded jobby which is wise for such expensive parcel then it would probably end up being something silly like 4-5 cheaper in the end . sorry not to help
  7. shouldnt be complaining, if they want to give you the bike cheaper than the advertised price then let them... and the bike/frame is not in my good books "orginality" ?! but the pricing is something else, for the money its awesome...
  8. i think its rather silly it rarely happens, i think due to human nature, not wanting your buggered you do tend to avoid obstacles... oh yer cricket balls/footballs...well obstacles you see with time coming with time to spare... and i dont encounter many cricket balls or footballs threating my area whilst im riding, sooo that last bit was abit pointless i personally think your more likely to land on/in your armpit keep thinking... that was a weird lil post, i really should go to bed now
  9. just pressed a 9 instead of a 2 thats all...
  10. The megaupload link seems to be fine for me, meh oh well any the vid... The vid was pretty cool, good beginner riding edging on to bigger stuff which is nice to see liked it... zona looks well betta stripped also
  11. not sure who's this is, but they shoud be proud of it and hopefully shouldnt mind me using it, hopefully... some one elses nifty work, again sorry for using the pic if you do mind...
  12. £295 frame only... There you go mate, could have searched for it there has been topics on it... check out www.tartybikes.co.uk , then bikes, then echo lite for more info... and the echo website would most likely help also
  13. The Forum has been running for a couple of years now, so i imagine ALOT of questions, familar and unfamilar, have been asked. So considering the ammount of questions already asked and answered it would be better to search for the previous questions and answers at this time instead of asking them again. But, back say when the Forum just started up, a search button may be a little useless at that time, see my point ? (retoracle question)
  14. he doesnt really ride a dirt jump frame, he rides a bike specced to point were you would think he rides a dirt jump bike as it has the parts associated with dirt jumping, sort of eg: suspension (even though he rides marzochhi* xc bombers at 80mm) a seat on a 26" (not commonly found on 26" trials bikes nowadays) shortish risers on a 26" (again not found often on 26" bikes of today) and the frame geometry* is not 40mm+ bb rise , 8" seatube or 1070+ wheel base his frame could be classed as a "mountain" bike possibly mistaken for a dirt frame but not a modern day trials frame. thats just it "modern", times change the norco moment frame (ryan leech) is edging on 3-4 years now ? right !? so if your new to the sport the frame may seem out of place. hats off to ryan leech personally oh and i love my black mumba, its brilliant i think the length + the engaments on my profile make it what it is and before that i rode an onza t-mag complety standard for near to a year and it got me far but my BM is defo an improvement
  15. Dont know a great deal about inners of profiles or many hubs for that... but from what i read and pick up, i imagine its to do with too much grease on the rachet/pawls/springs... So the common solution that i know of is to, undo the "body" of the hub by the sprocket... theres a big lock nut with two flat edges , right ? ... undo that and pull but over something like an icecream tub incase for some reason springs/pawls fall out... then basically just give the pawls, springs, rachet a good rinse with warm soapy ? water and rinse again with normal water... and finally relubricate with gt85 ? right, or some other thin lubricant who ever knows the full shizzle bout this feel free to correct me search ?
  16. are you talking the mr control , downhill style one ?! well if you are only the "thin" one will, http://tartybikes.co.uk/products.php?product=chains the 1/8th one if its the rear mech style chain tensioner than both sizes will ...
  17. i know ..............you cant grasp the basics of spelling in english, how old are you ?! you also clearly cant read either ! my god sort yourself out !
  18. or you could take the best bit of the brake: the adaptor that allows you to run v pads and maggy pads too... wack the adaptor on to a pair of xtrs or avids and your away... or you could just sell the adaptors individual seems like theres interest... The advantgae would be availabilty! v brake runners would no longer be restricted to v pads they could also run all the good maggy pads too ! Hats off to the old skool company, starbike
  19. Indeed everything leaks alittle nothings perfect so dont worry ... Just a different point of view that may help... How wet is wet ? and was it more liquid or was it sort of mush almost, gunk type stuff, quite dense like grease, building up behind the pad and on the cylinder piston ?... If so you shouldnt worry if its a small amount it doesnt really afect your braking unless your picky ... Like you said your brake is working fine so your good to ride If your worried, just clean it out so there isnt any resin, mucky, gunky stuff left, obviously you wont get rid of it all, but best to get rid of it so further build up doesnt drip/fall/ease its way onto your rim and infect it causing your rim to act like ice Finally just make a mental note of your brake modulation, power and if you notice the loss of these then you have a problem to worry about ...
