  1. Can I ask if this means different pads for the one rim? Or do you mean koxx front, plaz rear? Magura blacks front (with radial slotted file job) and plazmatic on the rear.
  2. 243 - medium strength and will tolerate a bit of oil or grease residue so the parts dont have to be squeaky clean to get the bond.
  3. Canon software called Photostitch. Works a treat, used to use it all the time. Let me know if you have trouble finding it and I'll see if I can help you out. Once took 4 pics of a guy crossing a bridge and going through some singletrack ina XC race. Came out so sweet.
  4. Not a bad idea imo but I think there would be a bit of trial and error and maybe a scrapped rim or two along the way. Even with a block of wood between the side walls, any excess vice pressure will probably bend the side walls and with no real warning. Could probably bend it back but then it becomes work hardened and will fail pretty quickly. If you attempt it I would suggest making some hardened steel jaws for the vice with the pattern of choice you want on the rim. Good luck and let us know how it goes if you try it.
  5. Cool game Is it just me or is that bike 2 wheel drive?
  6. Mine decided to ride into a wheely bin whilst I was looking at some crumpet on the other side of the road...
  7. Got a 2SixH with damage on the chainstay. Mine is from when the freehub seizes at random points (crossing a road is fun when the back wheel locks and I keep going) and the chain sucks up and wedges b/n the frame and crank. On my 3rd freehub.
  8. That looks pretty awesome. I dont think the strength would be compromised too much since the ends are still round. If they were truly square (sharp corners) then they would act as stress raisers and would crack in no time.
  9. Always had problems with those (cant undo, seizing) and would usually break the link out and be done with it. Been a fan of shimano ever since.
  10. Trials requires a lot of skill, balance, nerve, big kahunas. Has anyone noticed any sports they have picked up easier than say someone who hasnt been on a trials bike. eg balance and coordination sports like skiing, snowboarding, skating (board, blade or ice), kiting?
  11. not that I condone this sort of thing but you could try and find a crack for it.
  12. Just wondering how far you guys travel to get to a ride location and if you ride/walk/drive/train/other or a combination.
  13. I changed the extension to 3gp and played it with quicktime. Theres a few minutes of my life i'll never get back....
  14. You checked out Trialmedia? TM2 is awesome. http://www.trialmedia.co.uk/V1/
  15. Moved country and couldnt bring my XC or road bike over so trials seemed like a good alternative to have a bit o fun and keep fit. Lovin it.
  16. Also agree that death metal screaming doesnt really have a place in trials vids. Apart from that anything can work depending on the style of riding. High bpm DnB and guitar based tunes are a common choice and work really well. How many would consider something like Barry White for showy/demo type sections? Works surprisingly well and adds a bit of sex appeal.
  17. If you go braided and have a painted frame and want to keep the paint on it, put some protection at the contact points.
  18. The cats pj's mate. Awesome brakes. I ran them on my XC rig for 4 (count em) years with XT levers. Was never tempted to go disc.
  19. Awesome ride. Thats my current "I want that one" machine.
  20. Have also seen electrical tape used. Prob a bit easier to remove than cable ties . Get some fat shin pads to balloon the botom of our jeans out and stop em flappin around.
  21. umm, never mind how WIDE your room is. Pallets and ceilings may not mix.
  22. Yep, have done a few. Good money saver and quite a handy skill to have. If you break a spoke who wants to pay a bike shop for something so simple? Built 2 20" wheels with drum brakes a while back and couldnt find the right spoke length (crazy flange on the hub) so had to cut some down and re-thread.
  23. I watched a dog catch and eat a squirrel the other week. Not all that funny I guess....
